We braved the crowds on the grand opening of this location! It should be known that I love Dutch Bros -- I've been to locations in Arizona, Oregon, Nevada and now California. Not sure if it's the drinks or the free therapy that keeps me as a frequent customer. Back to this specific location... We entered the line which ended all the way at Arby's! Pro tip: take that turn and not the turn after Dutch Bros or you'll have to drive back down to find the end of the line. Surprisingly, the line went really quick and within 15 minutes we reached the first area that is set up with employees to direct the line. We were greeted by friendly faces and they handed us free stickers and their menu. We were then directed to the next part of the drive thru line where we had a conversation about our favorite drinks (and anime). Roll down your window and interact with them! We ended up ordering a blended eclipse lemonade (only because the girl I was talking to said it was her favorite), iced electric berry rebel, cinnamon roll freeze, mango smoothies no whip, and an iced tiger's blood lemonade. My usual drinks are: blended OG Gummi Bear lemonade and white zombie freeze, but I try to order something new at whatever location we find ourselves at. My Irish cream flavor was not sugar free like I ordered. And my daughters drink didn't have any flavors added at all like we ordered. (Hers was supposed to be a grasshopper) I was sad. I came Saturday 2/24 ordered one Islander received a caramelizer waited in line for an additional 20 minutes to only get another incorrect drink. Came Monday 2/26 ordered an Islander it was missing the coconut, they took the drink back and then the next one was just pure coconut. I was planning on parking and going up to the walk up window, but it was blocked; I'm guessing due to Covid or something, but the line was short which never happens at any of the ones near my house in Arizona so I took advantage of it. I was greeted quickly and ordered a cold brew for my trip back to AZ. I had my drink within minutes and on my way. My drink tasted great and service was wonderful. As of now this is the closest location to Los Angeles. It's almost 100 miles from my house but totally worth the trip! The line was long but went fast. Workers friendly, drinks delicious! A great shout out to the staff who handled wonderfully about people cutting in line when we were there yesterday, last day of 2020. It's COVID lock down, so drive thru only. There are 2 ordering lanes and merge at the pick up window. We were in the outer lane and everyone was patiently waiting for their turn. One car from the right lane, one car from the left- until the car next to our left cut in close after the car before it for some reason. I gently honked once to remind him to wait for his turn. He honked twice back. I gave a long honk to register my protest, the passenger side gave us a peace sign. I stopped there, not wanting to escalate this incident further. Then the great thing happened. A lady came out of the kitchen with our drinks and delivered to our car directly while the car next to our left and the car before him are still waiting for the order. We confirmed the drinks, thanked her for it and wished her happy new year, then left the premises without any further incident. Dutch Bros and the staff handled this professionally and beautifully, letting anyone know that cutting in line is not necessary and not tolerated. We drove an hour to get the famous Dutch Bros and it was a worthwhile trip. The coffee was good but the super sweet and fun staff are what makes Dutch Bros so appealing. The energy is similar to most Dutch Bros you go to. It's currently drive through and card only. Not sure if that'll change once the pandemic is under control. They work FAST. We got through the line so quickly even with the line wrapped around the parking lot. We spent maybe 20-25 minutes max in the line and quickly started our hour ride home.
