Okay seriously I don't know what it is about this locations but every single time I come I order the same drink and it's never right. Close to the Oregon boarder the Dutch Brother started popping up through the fog, yay drive trough coffee that I don't have to get outta the warm car for! I love the clever menu and the lids on the cups! They say adorable things like "you taste good" and "I missed you." I like strong black coffee, drip, french-press, americano, moka pot, pour-over. I embrace the snobbery of the SF Bay Area's coffee elitism (ahem Ritual, Four Barrel, Blue Bottle), or at least the part of the snobbery that results in finely crafted coffees. I never order mochas or flavored drinks. But, when in Eureka, do as the Eurekans do, so I hit this spot and ordered a Carmelizer -- a mocha with whipped cream and swirl of caramel. Now, the drink was absolutely yummy and the barista, lonely and friendly in her solitary coffee kiosk, was delightfully cheerful. I think, though, I would give this place 4 stars based on the design of their takeaway cups alone. Pretty pretty pretty. Also, very happy with the drive-thru coffee culture....wish the folks in the SF Bay Area appreciated it more. read more

First time going to Dutch Brothers, because we don't have one around in San Diego. I gotta say, you guys are awesome and super friendly. Being a Starbucks barista, I know the stress.. I was shocked that they where so interested in our drive up through Cali, how we are liking the stay, and how are we camping when it's freezing! You guys honestly made us feel so welcomed into your area. Stopped by in December, and can't remember the names on who we spoke to. The environment at Dutch bros is so welcoming. I gotta agree with Bob j (see first reviewer) - Please come to Southern California soon! While he mentioned the service, staff and prices, he did forget to mention the frequent buyer card (yes! get a little punch card and after you buy the requisite amount, you get a free drink of choice)! Not to forget the drive up service (you don't even have to get out of your car - important on one of those cold rainy Humboldt mornings... and they give doggie treats too... even for the bad doggies who don't deserve one... My daughter was going to HSU and turned me on to this place on one of my frequent visits. I have to get one every morning that I am there b/c I know that when I return to SoCal I have to rely on St*rbucks... If you blink and miss this one, be sure to visit the other DB on N Street near Myrtletown. read more

Probably my fourth visit in a year and a half, and each time the service has been friendly, helpful and patient when I try to recall what I had the last time I passed thru. Terrible experience, worst drive thru experience i've ever had, person taking my order wrote it down wrong and put blue raspberry in my coffee drink when i asked for hazelnut, the gal making my drink remade it twice after messing up both times, when i finally got my drink made correctly it had no caramel drizzle like i requested and it was very watered down, no flavoring at all. Absolutely terrible experience and would never go back. I recommend going to the other dutch bro's on 5th street this one was an absolute train wreck. :( read more

Coffee is fantastic and the eggnog latte is delicious. This location does not accept cash after hours so carry your plastic with you. After watching Undercover Boss, we had to stop and try Dutch Bros. Coffee. Wish we could meet the owner and talk with him. Visited the Dutch Bros. on Broadway and the three young men who served us were excellent...the first guy gave us extra time to read the menu and decide on our drinks. After ordering, he said our order back to us to make sure he had it correct---which he had....great memory. To our surprise, he said "No Charge----since this is your first visit." FANTASTIC!!!! Great business ethics...too bad the other coffee place (won't say Starbucks) has those ethics. We will stop by every chance we get when we visit Eureka in Humboldt County....and the Dutch Bros. on N Street----those young ladies were fantastic also. read more

Traveling from Canada to California, coffee is a must. Dutch Bros was recommended a thousand times, but after being disappointed in Oregon I thought they certainly didn't live up to the hype. One final attempt led me to this Dutch Bros, where I told the baristas of my disappointment. They surprised me with their extreme positivity, understanding, and assurance that this next drink was going to be incredible. Not only was the drink incredible, but so was their customer service, and love for their craft. Colton Bryan and Joe (and the fourth whose name I can't remember) led me to write my first yelp review EVER. That good everybody. The other store is more fun but this store is bigger. Owned by the same folks. Either way the people are always happy and cheerful. Good to see a spot that has great service. If the employees here spent less time socializing and more time working it might not take 20 minutes in line to get coffee. Also was given the wrong drink and when I finally got the right one it had no flavor. I guess we will have to go back to Starbucks except when we are on Sacramento or Phoenix.
