    Avocado Smash Brunch

Brunch menu is good but limited. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was quick and easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were sitting at the window seat near the front of the door but it felt very comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The Chicken and Waffles Benedict alone is basically worth the 5 stars. When I saw that on the brunch menu, I knew this was a place I needed to try. My one note on the dish would be to use thicker, Belgian style waffles. Otherwise, they were absolutely incredible. One of the most delicious chicken and waffle meals I've ever had. My wife had the BEC and said it was extremely cheesy and delicious. Her only request would've been ketchup and hot sauce that wasn't Tobasco. Both of us would love to return here though. The service was great. They were very attentive and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is like an Irish Pub mixed with a diner and I mean that in the best way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait for another chance to eat here again.

Delicious fries with some aioli to dip. It took a long time to bring out the food - . [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do love the ambiance[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Enjoyed a birthday brunch at Dutch Fred's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was super cute and the service was very good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I split the tacos and pancakes, for a sweet and salty fix, with a friend. I loved the tacos! The pancakes had a cakey and almost cornbread consistency, which was different. They were not too sweet and the presentation was beautiful. I loved that Hugo Spritz was an option for the bottomless drinks! [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only complaint is that we were seated in the back and there was little circulation, making it very hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

May be the best espresso martini I've ever had! Perfectly cold & perfectly caffeinated. Our server Finn was a great chat, and made delicious drinks! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We stayed longer than we planned, enjoying the cool space and great company.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect spot to debrief a Broadway show over a cocktail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Such a great vibe. I was visiting on a work trip and I felt like a local sitting at the bar. I just had a soup and beer, but both were great and the bartenders provided was super kind. I would definitely recommend stopping here before or after a show.

First time here and the place was packed and vibrant--exactly what you'd expect in Midtown Manhattan. We grabbed seats at the gorgeous bar to avoid the wait. Service was quick and friendly, and the craft cocktails were impressive. I started with the London Rouge--beautiful presentation but a bit too heavy on the beet for my taste. My husband's drink forgot the name had a flower and I believe anise had a much better flavor balance. I switched to mezcal and loved the Apágame el Fuego--although small it is spicy, fresh, and unique. Later, another bartender made me a drink called Paradise Found, and it was the standout drink of the night--perfectly balanced and delicious. Food was also excellent. The wagyu sliders, truffle fries, brisket sliders, and fried chicken sandwich were all flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance was great and staff added a welcoming vibe. We'll definitely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute place near times square![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started with the winter sangria which was the perfect balance of red wine and sweetness. We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer and it was very fresh. I did the wagyu burger sliders and they were fine but not a ton of flavor.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We enjoyed our food and mainly did small plates. Servers were a little unattentive and changed over at 8pm which seemed a little strange but was able to order a second drink so no problem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place to hang out with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I can't say enough good things about Dutch Freds! Made a reservation for brunch after seeing a post about the bottomless option on Instagram. I loved that the drinks were served in tea cups! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also equally loved the decor. Made for a nice and cozy holiday vibe on a cold winter day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bottomless drinks are served in little carafes, and let me tell you, they pack a punch! Enjoyed the Dutch punch. Now sometimes restaurants with bottomless brunch tend to put more emphasis on the drinks and less on the food. I was glad to say this was not the case with Dutch Freds! Everything was so tasty, from the brisket to the eggs to the little potatoes served on the side. Our server was friendly and attentive and so we let her know we would absolutely return in the near future.

Stumbled upon Dutch Freds early this Friday evening. (May 2025) As per tradition when bestie and I are headed to a broadway show we head to the theater district find parking and pick a random spot for a bite to eat before curtain call. This Friday the parking God's were on our side but Mother Nature was not. As the rain started to fall we dipped in to Dutch Freds. At 5:30/6pm there were no tables available but we found spots at the bar. Service, food, and decor were all very good. We kept it simple with wings, sliders, fries, & a kale salad to share. In addition to a couple of cocktails. Everything was tasty especially the drinks. However, it was tad pricey given what we ordered, no entrée's only shareable starters and our tab was up there. Nonetheless you get what you pay for and the food and service was very good. This was a nice find, that hit the spot and saved us from the rain on our way to be theatre geeks. Lol Just A Note: They offer a brunch with unlimited tea cup cocktails.

Website says 21 after 5 does that mean I can sit with my 16 yo at 5 or will we be refused when we show up to a 5 reservation because we are seated after 5?? Dinner before the theater and looking for a fun weekend spot.

After matinee with my 11 year old granddaughter on Saturday?

It's a bar so it's iffy for an 11 year old girl. There are outside tables that would be more appropriate.

Are reservations required for Sunday brunch?

Required, no - but a very good idea as the morning becomes afternoon. It can get busy.

How loud is the music? Can I have a conversation over dinner?

    Absolutely

Could a group of 12 eat here? Thank you.

    Yes

Is it a family friendly restaurant?

Yes, but it's in New York, so there's a bar and some seating area in the back.

Are there any current happy hour specials?

If we book a reservation for a brunch Saturday. I know it says optional, but if we select bottomless drinks does this mean everyone must partake in the bottomless or only those who'd like to? Just trying to confirm I won't be charged for everyone.

You can decide at the restaurant who selects bottomless and you won't be charged through the reservation but at the restaurant after ordering and finishing up brunch.

Are guys allowing groups (10 people) to dine-in?

I don't think they would allows groups of 10 People to dine in max 6

Can you order off the regular menu on a Saturday during brunch? Stopping in before a show, but looking for more of the sharable plates then brunch. Looks amazing!!

Our brunch menu is served Saturday and Sunday 11am-3pm. Our evening food menu is available from 3pm. We hope to have you in!

Is there music playing on Tuesdays at around 4pm? Happy hour?

I believe live music is only every Sunday during brunch.

What is the hiring age for bartenders?

    Typically 21

Hi, do you have non alcoholic drinks?

Hi Yu Wen, Our bartenders can make you a delicious mocktail. We have a range of soda, orange juice…

Do you serve bloody marys all day? or just at lunch/brunch?

Its normally just lunch and brunch but we can serve in evening also as special request. Cheers

Do we need to make reservations for brunch?

Hi Fotini, We would recommend reservations for brunch. For parties of 6 guests or less - you can…

Going to Dear Evan Hansen at 2:00 today, wanted to try this place for dinner after with the family. Is it good for families? We have 3 kids age 14-19?

For some reason I seem to remember this place as not allowing underage folk? . Check their site, but really I just wanted to say OMG Dear Evan Hansen you are going to love it enjoy!! 👍. Just checked site, strictly 21 plus after 4 pm

Do you serve breakfast on weekdays (Friday specifically)?

Hi , We open at 11am Tues-Fri. We serve 3 brunch favorites - Chicken & Waffles, Avocado Smash & Egg & Bacon Sammy. We hope to have you in!

Is this place bottomless brunch on Sundays?

Yes we have 90 minute bottomless brunch & punch on Saturday & Sunday's for $25 with purchase of entree. This includes our Mimosa’s, Bloody Mary's & our Dutch's Punch cocktail.

Do you serve a full evening menu dining at the bar? Attending a show at 8pm and looking for a good timeline to arrive and dine?

Hi Gary, Yes we serve the full evening menu at the bar. We get a big post work & pre-theatre hit…

I was wondering if there is a bar area to sit here and if so how it is on a Sunday?

Definitely a great bar area! We were there for a Sunday Brunch and there was space available!

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
