For an entree, I got the 'Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese' which was Roasted Tomatoes, Vegetable Stock of Onions, Garlic, Celery, Carrots, & Herbs. Served with a Buttered Grilled Cheese Dipping Sticks. It was just okay - nothing more, nothing less. The cheese was not melted and it was all just okay. My husband got the 'Smashed Burger' which was two 3-ounce Angus Beef Patties, American Cheese, Onion, Buttered Bun with Smash Sauce. Served with French Fries. He loved it and thought it was great burger. This place was pretty pricy. I don't think it was worth the $90 something dollars we spent. The service was quick and friendly. The Chicken and Waffles Benedict alone is basically worth the 5 stars. When I saw that on the brunch menu, I knew this was a place I needed to try. My one note on the dish would be to use thicker, Belgian style waffles. Otherwise, they were absolutely incredible. One of the most delicious chicken and waffle meals I've ever had. First time here and the place was packed and vibrant--exactly what you'd expect in Midtown Manhattan. We grabbed seats at the gorgeous bar to avoid the wait. Service was quick and friendly, and the craft cocktails were impressive. I started with the London Rouge--beautiful presentation but a bit too heavy on the beet for my taste. My husband's drink forgot the name had a flower and I believe anise had a much better flavor balance. I switched to mezcal and loved the Apágame el Fuego--although small it is spicy, fresh, and unique. Later, another bartender made me a drink called Paradise Found, and it was the standout drink of the night--perfectly balanced and delicious. Food was also excellent. Stumbled upon Dutch Freds early this Friday evening. (May 2025) As per tradition when bestie and I are headed to a broadway show we head to the theater district find parking and pick a random spot for a bite to eat before curtain call. In addition to a couple of cocktails. Everything was tasty especially the drinks. However, it was tad pricey given what we ordered, no entrée's only shareable starters and our tab was up there. I didn't take offense I enjoyed myself regardless. I had a couple of signature drinks, which were both delicious and beautiful and presentation . I have a stuffed French toast, which was having on a plate. If I were a glutton, I would've had two more servings that's how great it was. I tried to call to make a reservation, but they don't take reservations over the phone so you have to book through the Resy app and have to leave a credit card in case of cancellation. Cancellation fee of $20/person for dinner which is a little steep but apparently up to the restaurant's discretion. They don't provide menus and only use a QR code which some of my party could not get onto and eventually got physical menus. They do have a great wine down Wednesday special including $10 wines! I swung through here for a quick meal at the bar before going to see Moulin Rouge. It's literally right around the corner if you need a spot. While there were empty tables, it appeared they were being held for reservations based on the hostess saying that the bar was my best option. I ordered the eggplant chips and the Guinness sliders and both were really tasty. The eggplant chips were super thin but I think they could have done well if the larger pieces were halved - obviously not a huge issue since I just did it myself. They told us they didn't have another table and just pulled it from the wall and added barstools to each end which still wasn't enough but to make up for it they served us all terrible fruity shots.
