here are the facts: 3:00 appointment, he shows up at 5:00…read morepm. I told him it's cooling but not well, probably needs more refrigerant, probably has a leak. He hooks his gadget up, says its low on refrigerant, might be due to a leak, but he couldn't tell me where and it was and would cost more than 800 dollars to do a full test to find where. He started focusing on the corrosion on the coil. He called a couple places about part costs but they were closed at 5 pm, they wouldn't have been closed if he was there on time.. He was there from 5 pm to 5:21 pm, for 21 minutes, and charged me $100 saying "I hate that I didn't fix anything for you but I have to charge you for my time" He didn't fix anything and told me what I already knew plus some bs. Days later they send me an estimate for $2000 to replace the coil, which had nothing to do with the cause of the leak. They lied to me about multiple points, first: They pretended to look into if it would be under warranty. He said that my warranty claim was denied because I'm not the original owner, and also because even if I was "they" said they wouldn't cover the corrosion because it was caused by dog urine. What they didn't know is: sure I had a dog when he walked in, but I've been here for years with no dogs. I never had a dog until about three months ago, and regardless my small dog never goes in the back yard. I asked how is it dog pee, isn't it more likely wet grass from the mower since it's such a uniform pattern all on the side of the unit that was exposed to the mower discharge? He still kept going on about how it's dog pee and I need to pay $2,000 to get the A/C working again, without proving to me how the coil corrosion was the cause of the problem. I finally get ahold of RUUD to ask about their warranty. They said I would not be denied for being the second owner, that it's still good for 3 more months for a second owner so that was a straight lie he told me. Then RUUD said to get the distributer and claim number to see why it was denied. I asked Action heating and cooling for the info, he said he didn't have a claim number. How is there no claim number if the claim was denied? He was just BSing me. I spent hours on the phone and researching all this yet I gave them $100 for "their time" when really it was for nothing to get fixed and hear nothing but lies. I called Bryan's Heating and Cooling for a second opinion. He found the leak, it was a bent nozzle, he fixed it, was there for about an hour, recharged the refrigerant, leak fixed, got the ac working fine all for 560 total, a reasonable price. Then he got on the phone to warranty the coil, and everything was ok, warranty was ok. The second company I went with showed me either how incompetent or how crooked Action Heating and Cooling is. I paid a hundred dollar lesson so that someone else could learn from my mistake in going with Action Heating and Cooling.

We had a sewer blockage over the 2026 Easter weekend. The guys came out to get us up and running…read more Sadly, we had an old clay sewer line and a huge maple tree. The 2 don't mix. The roots had invaded the sewer line, cracked many of the pieces and collapsed others. The guys rearranged the schedule a bit to get an excavator out, dug a new newer line trench to at least give us service over the long holiday weekend. They then came back out the following Monday to finish the job and connect to the city main sewer line. They even flexed the sewer line a bit so the tree didn't have to be removed. Sadly though, they forgot about us (and our neighbor behind) and left a 40 to 50 foot mound, over a foot high in the back yard. It took several phone calls and a bad review from my neighbor to get them back out, but they did finally come quickly. Now that the mound has had time to settle, we wait for them to do a final level, plant some seed, and cut the clean out pipe to ground level. I've appreciated Jeremy and the crew of guys helping us out in a bind that Easter weekend. I would be happy to use them again, but they could use a better system for follow up and job completion. That's why it's only 4 stars. Not sure how my neighbor would rate them.

I contacted Drainiacs and several other plumbing companies to install a new water heater and to…read more reroute a low hanging gas supply line for the water heater. I purchased a new tank, and I chose Drainiacs to tackle this job. Drainiacs beat other bids and beat most other plumbing companies' bids by a longshot! The owner, Charles, and his crew members, both Cass and Andrew, did an outstanding job with the installation and rerouting of the low hanging gas line that ran from the furnace to the hot water tank. What other company ran the gas supply line from the furnace to the hot water tank prior to 2004 when I purchased this home didn't have the consumer in mind as the gas line was about 4' off the ground and when trying to store items in the utility room I would have to do the limbo to get under gas pipe to store items and utilize storage space. Charles ran the pipe up into or under the joists to allow me to use the extra space to store items without having to bend down and duck under gas pipe. Drainiacs employee Cass assisted and installed gas pipes, sealed, tested for gas leaks with leak tech (soapy water), which worked well on all but one connecting section of pipe in which the owner Charles verified no gas leaks with a portable gas detector and discovered one in joists which wouldn't have been found with leak tech or soapy water. Employee Andrew came in and repaired gas leak with pipe gue and new fitting. After the hot water heater installation was completed, we turned on the water supply and had zero leaks. Also, after water was turned on, you could hear a chugging when you flushed a toilet or ran the showers or dishwasher. It sounded like maybe air in the water supply system, so we ran/bled all cold water lines for 10-15 minutes, and that didn't fix the chugging in the pipes. Charles went out to the water meter and reduced the amount of pressure coming from meter to house (our neighborhood has high water pressure) and also adjusted the pressure regulator inside the house, which also didn't fix the problem. Employee Andrew came by the next day and troubleshot the issue, lowered water pressure on both the regulator and ball valve, and fixed the problem. This company and crew members are thoughtful and thorough, analytical, and fair priced. I highly recommend Drainiacs Plumbing if you are looking for a fair, trustworthy, reliable company to rely on getting the job done right at a reasonable cost.

I got fed up with them because I work 8-6 to get service to me it's going to be after hours. Anyways I called drainiacs and talked to Charles he told me that it was dark and late the night I called and he needed light to see since he had to go under the house I was like yeah you're right so the next day at 10am he was here. He was very clear on telling me what he had to do and any thing that he needed that I could help with. He had me up and running in about an hour and a half which was fast to me. My house is 70 years old and that was what we were facing 70 years of buildup. He cut the steel line and we put pvc in. Charles by far is the best in Wichita. If anyone needs anything done Drainiacs first! Don't mess with these other companies not wanting to follow through and do what they say. As soon as it arrived he was able to install the HVAC and then came back for the plumbing. Unfortunately, as with an old house and previous owner repairs, he ran into some problems, but was able to make the repairs. Carl is very responsive and kept me updated on all issues and cost. He is professional and reasonable. I would highly recommend him.
