Although I've eaten dinner and lunch a few times here, I'm going to limit my comments to Sunday brunch. In a word, unbeatable. My wife and I eat brunch here about every other Sunday. Do yourself a favor: Huevos Rancheros (no chorizo) and a Bloody Mary. (Man, who ever thought fried potatoes served with huevos could be so good?) There are lots of criteria that I use to evaluate a restaurant but high on my list is consistency. The Grill is consistently good. The food, the drinks, and the service. Plus, there are two sides to the place, the dining room and the tap room. Since kids are not allowed in the tap room, you have a choice of kid friendly or no kids. A real bonus. read more

We came here on Saturday morning, right at the time when they started serving lunch. They have a decent sized parking lot in the back that we utilized, as it is right on Main Street in downtown Duvall. We were greeted and seated immediately, waters brought and orders taken within a few mins. My husband got lunch (Black and Bleu burger) and I got breakfast (Huevos Rancheros). Our go to place for awesome burgers, great beers and drinks. The staff is always kind, efficient and knows our order. Very kid and adult friendly which makes for a great meal out each time. The burgers are all amazing...best in the valley. The chicken wings are also delicious and high quality. This is a nice place to have a beer and lunch. They do allow dogs on the patio. This is my second visit. The first was for brunch which was delicious. My server was Chris he did an excellent job. He even got water with ice for my dogs. I had a BLT+A. It was very good and was on the bread from the bakery next door. I got it with a salad that had a delicious homemade ranch. The only negative I'd give is on the Belgian wheat beer. It had to much hops. I know I'm the only person in Washington that doesn't care for hops. Last year, we gave this place two starts, because half of the food IS really good, but the service both in the restaurant and for pick up is terrible. I think we ordered pick-up about eight times, and all eight times were a disaster. This year (January 2017), we tried it again. We walked in the restaurant, sat down, said hello to two waiters and a hostess, and didn't even get our water after ten minutes. The Duvall Grill is simply amazing. Great food and even better friendly service. The dinners are always fantastic and the portions are generous, everyone leaves happy and satisfied. Also I should mention the dynamite breakfast menu. We gone here many times for breakfast and will be going back very soon. Best meal you can get in town, hands down. Do yourself a favor, go to the Grill order whatever Belgian beer is on tap and order a side of sweet potato fries with chipotle dipping sauce. You will love it. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Their fries are excellent, especially their sweet potato fries with the spicy aioli sauce! Yum! Also, nice server guy (it's always the same dude when I go) and decent beer selection. Can substitute Garden burgers for any burger, which is helpful to us non-carnivores. :) read more

I've only successfully stopped here once, which is the main reason I'm not giving it a better rating. Two of my attempts were stymied by an utter lack of employees present. Both times I went in, stood around by the bar for several minutes, called out toward the back area, asked some people who appeared to be customers if they had any idea where the staff were, found out they'd been waiting a while too, and eventually gave up and left. The only other time I tried it, the beer and appetizers I had we're good, as was the service. The prices were a bit high for what you get, but not outlandish. Two out of three is probably not good enough odds for me to give them another try. read more

It was hard for me to write a review because I don't want others to know about this place. By far, the BEST meal I've had in a loooong time. I had the gumbo, my husband had the Butternut squash risotto, and we started w the poutine. There's absolutely nothing I would change about any of the dishes. The BEST poutine I've ever had out of well over a dozen places, including some only poutine shops. EVERYTHING on the menu is top notch. A Ruben is my favorite sandwich and theirs is the best I've ever had. Seasonally they have a fried pork cutlet with either a chorizo gravy or chimichurri sauce, they are both tied for the tastiest thing I've ever eaten! Slow. Wrong dish. Undercooked. But very nice people. We decided to try the Duvall Grill as it is near our home and we pass it all the time. We were a bit early for the dinner crowd. We ordered drinks and dinner, and things were a bit slow in arriving. My wife and I had ordered distinctly different dishes but what we received were two identical plates. We had waited much longer than normal already but we had to send her food back. They brought out the replacement dish and it was tasty but undercooked. They were incredibly apologetic and comped the dish and dessert, but my wife left hungry. We should have read more reviews and stuck to burgers. We may give them another try because they were so nice about the disaster. read more

Duvall Grill is 3 blocks from our home, but we'd be happy to get in the car and travel a lot farther to eat there. The staff are all terrific. It has a friendly, informal feel. Prices are low to moderate and the food is absolutely fabulous and varied. Great burgers but also wonderful salads and such yummies as Thai chicken skewers that have just the right amount of heat (which is to say, it's definitely there but won't make you cry). There's family seating on one side and bar seating on the other. read more

Took about 30 minutes to get my food but felt it was worth the wait even though I started to get irritated and wondered if they forgot about me. I was by myself, after the lunchtime rush, so the place was definitely not packed. The staff were very friendly. I ordered the avocado burger. It was oversized, hot to order, and carefully layered so it did not fall apart half way through. The fries had a perfect crispiness and they were fresh and hot as well. I came here with my family for Mother's Day dinner after a long hike in the mountains. We will not be back. As a server, I expect good customer service when I am a paying customer- we were not afforded such an experience. Our server, an tall older man, seemed disinterested in taking our order. We waited longer than normal for our food, considering there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant, and when we did get our food, the waiter never returned to fill up our drinks even though they were all noticeably empty. We watched as the younger employees in the restaurant hid behind a metal screen wall, watching us through the holes in the metal. It was a little strange. To add to that, when we walked by them to go to the restroom, they looked us up and down, and stopped talking until we had walked away, as if they were talking about us. When my mom paid with her card, the waiter returned the receipt to my sister and didn't even look at my mom. I honestly found this place a joke, I have not had such bad service in a cafe or restaurant in a long time- I would not recommend this place if you are looking for an enjoyable experience. This was definitely not the occasion you would expect on a holiday like Mother's Day. The food was good so kudos to the kitchen, it's too bad the front of the house was so pathetic. read more

Went for late lunch today. Ordered the Ruben Sandwich of which the corned beef was very dry even with sauerkraut and 1,000 island dressing. Brought the plate back to the kitchen as there was no sign of the server for most of our meal. I asked for another sandwich with moist meat and he said the whole cut is dry. I settled for more thousand island which did not help. This was our third time here over as may years and our hope for a nice date lunch in town was disappointing in both the food and service. read more

Good food, but don't sit in the bar on a Friday night if you are expecting decent service. As cheery as the bartender/server was, she had an absolute disregard for her poor service. My wife and I came in for dinner, we sat at one of the bar tables. Seeing as the bar was full, we understood that it took a few minutes to get our drink orders placed, my wife ordered a soda, a beer for me. My wife received her soda promptly, but I waited at least 10 minutes for my beer, my wife was half finished with her soda when it arrived. We both placed our orders, I asked for a side of tarter with my fries. As we were waiting, she proceeded to finish most of her soda, and I finished most of my beer. When the food came, everything looked fine accept no side of tarter sauce. I told her I had ordered a side of tarter, and asked if she could bring me one, which she replied "yes". We were not asked if we would like more beverages, not a big deal, we were not quite finished with the ones we had. We proceeded to start, after about 10 minutes, I had finished most of my burger, still no tarter sauce, at this point I was little frustrated, I stopped a gentleman that was delivering an order in the bar area, and asked for a side of tarter, also for another beer, which was finished. Our original server brought me my new beer several minutes later, and only half full, she explained that the keg blew, and would bring me another after they changed the keg, this never happened, and at this point we were finished with our meals. Our server came by several minutes later and asked if we were done, we said yes, and only at this point did she ask if I would like my 2nd beer, I told her "not now", trying to pass the hint that it had been too long, no apology, but she did say she would not charge me for the half beer. I expected this, but wasn't going to say anything unless the 2nd beer was on the bill. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years as a bartender & manager, I understand what it is like to have a busy Friday night, and a cheery attitude helps, but does not compensate for absolutely poor service, if you are busy, ask for help, which she may have, but you still need to address what you know is poor service. I never stiff a server, and did not here, but did tip less than 20%, but more than 15%, she probably thought she did an OK job. We have eaten here several times, and usually always receive a good meal, but poor service always gets to me, and to ignore it really bugs me. Will we be back, probably, but not soon, really sucks because this is a nice place in a small town, and we really want it to be our go to, but are struggling with it. The reason for the 2 star rating here is based on the poor service, and that we did have a bad experience with a special before, friends were in from out of town, and we took them here, the special was pretty bad, we could not finish it. I am hoping that they take notice of this and understand that I am totally not being one of those critical YELP posters, I just want them to improve. read more

This place is awesome! The Tap Room has the best selection of beer in town - some of them from local breweries. The wait staff is friendly and somehow they always remember what kind of beer I like and come up with recommendations for me. I'm a fan of their hearty breakfasts, but NOTHING can compare to the fish tacos they serve on Monday and Tuesday nights. PRO's The burgers are great, but you can only do one once in a while as they're a heart attack special! The sweet potato fries are the reason for showing up. CON's The menu is getting really old and everything is starting to taste the same (and it wasn't that outrageously good to start with). The bar gets so loud you can't hear yourself think. The prices are waaayyy too high for Duvall. (They recently nailed me $11.50 for a Long Island ice tea!) OVERALL Once in a while for a beer and a burger. Too expensive to justify for anything else. Been driving by this place for years and finally decided to stop in for a beer and burger. What a wonderful find and I had no idea this was going on in Duvall. Great selection of microbrews that I would never have expected (couldn't believe they had Mammas Little Yellow form Oskar Brewing). Atmosphere is casual/no frills and patrons range from local farmers to software engineers. As for the food, it was way better than expected and is sourced, cooked, and served with thought. Menu is eclectic and ranges from poutine, burgers, and steaks to roasted squash risotto, lamb bolognese and a Basque seafood sauté. This will be my new place to stop on my way home from a day of skiing at Steven Pass. read more

I absolutely love the Duvall Grill, and I would eat here more often if I could. Here is what I like about the Grill: * Definitely the best food in Duvall. From the Seafood Linguine to the Blue & Bacon Burger to the Sweet Potato Fries with Chipotle sauce, you just can't beat it. Everything is very consistent and delicious. Pair the Linguine with a Delirium Tremens Belgium beer and you are in heaven. Don't get me started on Breakfast. I look forward to taking my wife and 3 kids there for the breakfast at least twice a month if we can swing it. * Eric always to be one step ahead on the beers-on-tap. Its like he has someone telling him what the best beer to bring in would be! Chimay, Hoegaarden, Delirium, Snoqualmie, Mac & Jack, etc. etc. Nobody else has the selection that the Grill does this side of Redmond. I have a Belgium beer "thing" and the Grill always delivers. * My 3 kids ages 10, 8, and 6 love the Grill, too. Drawing with the crayons, eating macaroni and cheese and good fries. One of my sons is a fairly picky eater and they always orders the plain chicken breast with sweet potato fries. He loves it. I have tried most of the restaurants in Duvall and they are all pretty good. I am not going to bash anyone, especially the Grange. Everyone deserves some criticism, but come on. I tried the Grange but like the Grill better. Atmosphere, service, food, and beverages all rate high in my book. Well, hopefully this helps you choose where to eat tonight in Duvall. I make it out to the Grill every month or so. I was just there last weekend and had an awesome Cobb Salad. My companion had the crab cakes and could not stop raving! The service was seamless as well. Don't you have to wonder about a husband-wife team who choose to deliver double whammy bad reviews and carry on and on and on about HOW bad it was?? Something suspicious there I would say. I have been waiting for a restaurant like the Duvall Grill to come to this town for 12 years. The food is amazing!! I recommend the seafood fettuccini. My wife loves the chicken and brie. My kids are addicted to the chicken tenders and fries. The staff is super friendly and treat everyone like family. If your looking for an excellent Belgium beer on tap, this is the place to go. I have heard that Eric has a team of experts hand pick every Belgium keg that goes on tap. If you're a skeptic, give the Grill a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

i've tried 5 or 6 different times to like this place... everyone is nice but the service is easily the worst service i have ever gotten and the food is so bland and there are almost no choices to choose from! everytime i have come here they have forgotten about me or my food and what i am hoping to be a quick 45 minute lunch stop (considering all i get is a salad and fries and i go at their slowest times) turns into an hour and a half of mostly just waiting :( i really wish i could come back but it's a total waste of time and money read more
