This is the second time my family is working with this venue. My bridal shower was held her and they did an amazing job. This time my husband and I had out sons Baptism here. The service the day of the event and before the event was excellent. The food was wonderful! All the guests enjoyed the party! Viki the event planner was not there the day of the event but guess what she had everything labeled organized that nothing was wrong it was all done just great! The MD of the night Mike rocked our event! He was helping the guests with anything they needed and on top of all the waiters. Anything we asked for we had it right away! At the end of the night the MD himself and the waiters put everything we had in the cars. Best part every we asked them to pull the cars up for the baby to right in and not get cold (not only did the bring the cars they had them RUNNING for to get warm)! Wow wow wow! Where to start?! Dyker beach is the most beautiful place! I had my wedding there last Sunday Oct 13 2013 and everything was absolutely fabulous!!!! So good in fact that I (an admitted pain in the neck perfectionist) had to sign up for YELP and write this review while on my honeymoon because I could not wait another second to thank everyone! My husband and I could not have asked for more or better or anything at all really on our wedding day! The food was perfect, the venue gorgeous, everything so smooth and wonderful thanks in no small part to the FABULOUS Kim (we had so many small details and she just nailed it!!!) and AMAZING Julie (By my side for whatever I could possibly need!!!) But even before the wedding Dyker did not disappoint with unbelievable knowledge and accommodation from Debbie! And Vicky Vicky Vicky!!!! She was so completely fabulous and kept us right on track. She dealt beautifully with my mother (no easy feat) and got every single thing right on - the first time! It was such a pleasure dealing with her! There cannot be a better place to get married or a more wonderful set of people to help you celebrate such an important day... I cannot thank all of you enough! My husband was completely floored by and loved everything - we still can't stop talking about the event ourselves and have heard nothing but positive reviews from our guests! Additionally, after leaving my laptop and my husband's projector at the venue after the wedding we were worried the items would have disappeared - but of course they didn't! We had a day wedding in August 2015 at Dyker Beach Golf Course. We did both our ceremony (outdoor) and reception (indoor, with outdoor patio access) at Dyker. The venue itself is beautiful, located on a golf course so the greens are kept well-manicured and the building is a NYC landmark that has been well-maintained yet still preserves its historical elegance. There is a large parking lot at the venue which is very hard to find in NYC and was key for helping us to accomodate many of our guests who were travelling in for the day. The food & the drinks were by far the best I've ever had at a wedding and even on par with a high end restaurant. Our guests all commented the same satisfaction with food and drinks. The service received by everyone from the bartenders to the maitre'd was hands on and accessible but never disruptive. Many of our guests commented that our wedding was the most fun they've ever attended and keep in mind we had a day wedding! Though the wedding itself was truly a perfect day, the planning was just as fun. This was largely due to our knowledgeable, kind, and patient Private Event Director, Eman. From the moment we met Eman and saw the venue, my parents and I knew that Dyker was the right venue for us. Due to geographic convenience and parking, it was the first venue we saw and our experience was so positive from the start, it was the only venue we visited. I couldn't be happier with our choice to have our wedding at Dyker and am beyond grateful to the staff of the venue and particularly for the efforts of Eman to provide us with not only a perfect wedding day but such a wonderful and largely stress-free planning experience leading up to it. read more

I had my wedding here over a year ago and just writing my review now. I thought the location was convenient for all my family and friends. The venue is clean and elegant and they have a beautiful garden for your ceremony. I believe you can save on ceremony flowers because their garden is really lush with alot of flowers already. Lets just hope it doesn't rain or else you will have to take your ceremony indoors which just loses its appeal. Not that inside doesn't look nice but you would really want the garden for ceremony pictures. I thought the price was reasonable for everthing you get. You can work out any extras with the banquet manager. I had people tell me that it didn't feel like they were in Brooklyn anymore. It felt secluded as the entire space is for your party. I was told the cocktail food was much better than the reception food, but I think it's like that with all venues. For cocktail, peking duck and the raw bar was everyone's favorites. I didn't hear much people rave about the entrees. I did hear a few feedback that they did not like the fish too much. I missed the venetian for myself, but everyone liked the desserts. On the day of my wedding a few things did not go accordingly: 1. I had a little too much DIY going on and I thought it did not translate well to the staff on where I wanted things situated so alot of my DIY didnt really go as planned. Also, I remember asking where the raw bar would be situated on the day of the wedding so I can plan accordingly with my florist. I forgot the banquet manager's name but she told me the raw bar would be situated right in the middle where everyone enters the cocktail room so I told my florist that there will be no need for a huge centerpiece as the raw bar would act as the centerpiece. I was horrified on the day of my wedding to see an empty table smacked in the middle of the room! They tried to put stuff on that table like my sign in and table cards but it still looked pretty empty and sad. I was extremely annoyed by that, but after a year, you learn to let things go, at the end of the day no one notices these details but you. 2. I'm not going to name names as my intention is not to get any one in trouble. I just personally felt that one of the staff members spent a little too much time flirting with someone from our bridal party.... 3. During cocktail hour, food was good but some of the food ran out! Esp at the raw bar station. I remember they told me food would never run out so what happened? I had guests come up to me asking if there would be more food coming out. 4. I asked for my food to be packed because as a bride you never have time to eat. I remember that they did pack it but then by the end of the night it was gone. I emailed the very next day and asked about the food and the banquet manager said they do not let people take home food. They should have told me this beforehand, why would you tell me its packed and not give me the food at the end of the night? If I knew, at least I would have forced myself to eat something so I could have enjoyed it. Overall, I still give this place 4 stars. As a bride, you know nothing is going to be absolutely perfect. I wouldn't have had my wedding anywhere else. The venue is beautiful and the staff are friendly. My guests left having an amazing time. My husband and I and guests all drank alot, great liquor options, I think everything was top shelf. Carlo was a pleasure to work with and he was quite personable. We had to deal with the banquet manager at the end because it switches off. Brides - you just need to be detailed and have a list prepared on everything you want that day, make sure you give one to your MOH and matrie d' to make sure everything is aligned. My matrie d' and the bridal attendant that followed me throughout the day did their responsibilities. I only asked for drinks and she kept providing it to me. Customer service SUCKS. Nice golf course. We were attending an outing(booked in advance). On arrival at 6:45am, there was no coffee in the Pro shop and we had to go to the grill.No rolls,(told the delivery comes at 9 )wait was 20 minutes for coffee, as the grill was full of our group ordering food in advance(recommended by management to order our end of round food now as to avoid a wait when we were done),1 person working.BTW the food choices were limited to: Burger,Hot Dog,Chicken,Lettuce Wedge.After the round, we were told that the food wasn't ready.Waited for 45 minutes for a burger that never came.People were served that arrived later. Once again(told) that the cook cooked all the chicken first and was going to do the burgers next, meanwhile, one of our group was waiting over an hour for a chicken salad sandwich, were they waiting for the egg to hatch and grow into a chicken salad sandwich? Will NEVER go there for an outing.Better off to book a round of golf in advance, and go elsewhere to eat later. Attitude is "Give us your money,now get the ---- outta here! NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

Recently attended an afternoon affair and was not impressed. The location is the best feature but things went downhill after that. It appeared to be understaffed and the food was barely passable. Everyone's pasta and main course arrived cold and the pasta barely covered the bottom of the plate. The chateaubriand was small and leathery and was served with a small portion of mashed potato and asparagus. Even the coffee was cold. Maybe they were just having an off day but I was disappointed. read more

I had my wedding at Dyker Beach Golf Course on July 21st and I could not be a happier bride. My guests raved about the food and they loved the overall venue. The staff was professional and the food was delicious, exactly as it was during my tasting. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The venue is in Brooklyn so you get more space and the lush landscaping, but has a Manhattan vibe. It's close to Manhattan where my city friends cab it to the wedding. Vicky, the event coordinator is the sweetest person you can work with and dealt with all my questions for months. The maître'd, Santiago, Nick and team were on top of everything and made sure to check on us constantly. They even apologized for checking up on us so much!! Finally, I cannot find enough words to explain the immense gratitude and appreciation I have for my bridal attendant, Eman. I've been a bridesmaid a few times and I've seen many many bridal attendants, all of which I thought were attentive and helpful. Eman takes it to another level! She made sure I was comfortable, fed, my wedding party were in the right place, sewed my groom's jacket button when it fell off and made sure I had a glass of champagne in my hand. My new husband who thought weddings in general are overblown and cost too much money was extremely impressed with Dyker and couldn't be happier. The course is fine, but the pace of play is a joke. I had a 9:45 tee time on a Sunday and didn't end up teeing off until 10:30. They schedule tee times every seven minutes, and the people who play here are generally terrible, so it's bottlenecked on every single hole. Oh, and they don't have rangers on the course to maintain an acceptable pace of play. Case in point-- it took two fucking hours to play THREE holes. It would take 12 hours to play a round of golf at that pace. I went home after holing out on the third hole. Simply quit. NYC is too great of a city to spend an entire day on the golf course. Do yourself a favor, play one of the courses in the Bronx or rent a car and play a course in Jersey. Avoid this cluster fuck if at all possible. read more

I had my wedding at Dyker Beach Golf Course on Saturday 8/18/12 and I couldn't be happier. The people I met there were polite, professional and above all else, very caring. They wanted my fiance and I to have a great event there and worked with our budget. Bruno the Catering Sales Manager made sure we got an amazing cocktail and reception menu. Vicky the Event Planner coordinated with our vendors (DJ, Photographer and Musicians), answered my endless e-mails and helped put the final touches on our special day. Nick the Maitre d' and Andre were on top of the entire evening and helped move things along smoothly. But, I have to reserve special praise for Eman the Bridal Attendant. At first, I thought her role was to just keep the bridal suite tidy, but I was wrong. She is more of a concierge and wedding savant. Without her, I think my wedding would not have been as great as it was. I was clueless about the wedding procession and she pointed me in the right direction. She was there for us the entire night, from the moment we walked down the aisle, to the end of the evening, when she helped carry my wife's wedding dress to our car. I haven't experienced that level of customer service outside of Disney World and Danny Meyer restaurants (e.g. Union Square Cafe, Eleven Madison Park and Shake Shack). Eman's attentiveness and detail to attention is simply amazing and I'll just leave it at that. I can go on and on, but the review will just too long. The event would have been flawless if not for all the street noise. My officiant at times had trouble being heard over the rumbling trucks and one motorcyclist who wanted to break the sound barrier. There were some beautiful trees and brushes in the ceremony area to help dampen the noise, but I think we need a forest. An overly nice golfer also whistled at us when I was giving my wedding vows. It's all good though. We are in Brooklyn after all. I think the only people happier than me and my fiance were my guests. They loved the convenient location, excellent food, open bar and beautiful grounds. They couldn't believe such a nice place was in Brooklyn. I told them to go back to Manhattan. If you're planning to have a wedding, you have to check out Dyker Beach Golf Course. It's an incredible venue staffed by really nice and caring people. read more

I had my wedding at Dyker Beach Golf Course in June of 2013 and couldn't have been happier with the way my wedding turned out. The weather was perfect and my husband and I were able to get married outside at the gazebo and have our cocktail hour partially outside on the patio. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and my guests were amazed to find such a beautiful setting in Brooklyn. There was an overabundance of yummy food for us and our guests. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Vicky and Carlo were extremely helpful and responsive. this place is 3 stars if you play before 7am.. if you play after 7am, we are looking at 1 star. this summer, i played multiple rounds teeing off at 5 or 6am and finished 3-4 hour rounds. if not, you are looking at 6 hours - deathmarch. upkeep is what you wld expect in a golf course in brooklyn - does the job if you dont have a car or dont want to drive 1 hour to nj. or if you're ghetto and dont want to pay more thant 40 bucks(like me). read more

Dyker Beach Golf Club is a hidden jewel of Brooklyn. Anne and I had our beautiful wedding here. We were catered to from start to finish. Our every single need was met by Carlo Lenzi and his friendly staff. From enjoying all their awesome rooms (with huge classic windows) nestled inside a beautiful Golf course to perfectly cooked Filet Mignon( by the chef Eddie who also was a pro). My cousin said it "melted in his mouth". Our guests had plenty of waiters catering wine and hors d'oeuvres during our cocktail hour, now months later I am still getting compliments on our wedding/service from some of our 100 guests. I also remember that the valet was available with plenty of parking. I have lived in Brooklyn all my life and there is not one hall here that matches this exquisite rich setting, the ballroom and great room's elegance(freshness, paintings,decor) and great food. Very irresponsible. My sister got married here two weeks ago. The venue is beautiful but I am shocked at how disorganized they are when they have as much experience with events as they do. They served alcohol to underage people and people who dont drink for religious reasons, even though we had a long conversation about not bringing alcohol out unless someone went to the bar and asked for it. Not sure how legal that was on their end, but Im looking into it. It also rained before my sister and her husband were supposed to do their vows outside. It took almost an hour of rain before their staff offered to put a tent up to cover the guests. I dont know what the delay was or if it was just made available then, but they were aware of the drama ensuing inside because of the rain and no one gave the bride that offer. If your wedding or child safety means a lot to you, you might want to have signed agreements with them instead of talking since they obviously dont listen. We have two events coming up and will not be using this place again. read more

This venue is the epitome of class. The entire staff embodies the upmost professionalism and go above and beyond to make sure all of your guests are well taken care of. Our family and friends are still talking about how attentive they were throughout the event. The food was absolutely amazing! My husband (a chef and former employee of The Waldorf Astoria) was extremely impressed with the entire menu and felt the dinner service definitely rivaled if not surpassed many banquets he has been apart of at the hotel. I had my wedding here two weeks ago and I still can not stop smiling. All of my guests keep telling me it was the best wedding they have ever been to. As a bride, having my event here was stress free. All of the staff were really nice and helpful. They were great at working with all of my vendors including a few complicated and unusual requests that required lots of emails about contracts, extra insurance, set up, etc. and everything was handled quickly and professionally. Our DJ even said that Dyker is his favorite place to work out of all the halls in the tri-state area. I was especially grateful to Eman, my amazing bridal attendant. From the moment I walked in, I immediately relaxed in her prescence because she took care of every little thing. We had a beautiful day and everyone loved the bar set up on the outdoor patio. Everyone also raved about the food. My aunt said the salmon was the best she's ever had. The one thing I sat down to really eat was the chicken and it was so delicious I finished my entire plate. At the end of the night, all of my things were carefully packed for me and ready to take home. The care and detail that was put in to the set up of eveything really showed and the whole night was smooth and flawless. I can't wait to see how the pictures we took on the grounds turned out, the previews I saw looked beautiful! You really forget that you are in Brooklyn, it's so quiet and scenic on the grounds. This place had TERRIBLE customer service. They would remove guests's untouched entrees while they were on the dance floor! They would'nt even give them a chance to get back to the table. They made us feel like we were being rushed out. And on top of it all, I accidentally left my vintage shoes under the table when I changed into my sandles. I didn't realize it until I was on my way home because I thought I had put them in my bag. I called them the following morning and they said they would call me back. Two days went by and no one returned my call. I tried calling back and it would go straight to voicemail. When I finally reached someone, they told me they did not have my shoes. I KNEW I left them there and if they hadn't been turned in, that meant a staff member stole them! Well, I had my mother in law call the next day and tell them just that, and guess what...MY SHOES JUST HAPPENED TO BE FOUND! Don't ruin your special day and and your guests' experience by having your event here. New York is FULL of better options. read more

in regards to mothers day brunch. terrible! terrible! terrible! it started with having to line up like cattle upon entering in order to have our reservation confirmed and have our assigned table told to us. Then we got in the dining room and the buffet was set up in one big rectangle, with no beginning or end, it was chaos. I was charged $50pp plus 20% tip plus tax and I don't know why I was charged for a tip at all ESP at 20% when the only thing that was brought over to our table was Coffee!....any drinks you had to get for yourself at the bar. They offered no service at all. In a nutshell, I wish I would have kept my reservations at The Palm Restaurant. The food was not worth the price, if they charged half the price then maybe it would have not been as upsetting. I was told that they would have a seafood station and all they offered was Shrimp that was still frozen in the middle and they ran out of it. On the upside, the piano player was good and the omelettes looked good but I didn't have the patience to wait on an already disorganized line. read more
