Allstate's call system is an even bigger joke (it hangs up when transferring calls). I called in a claim. They never assigned an adjuster. After two days, I talked to someone in scheduling who said that no one contacted the department to schedule an adjuster. We've been left with a very dangerous situation and no help from Allstate. I finally worked around the system to find out that the event is not covered and I will have to take care of it myself. The fact that we have to take care of it ourselves is not the issue (it's in the policy). The issue is that you will never be able to talk to anyone at Allstate with their terrible phone system. Find an insurance agency you can actually talk to before calling Allstate.
