It was surprisingly flavorful and not too sweet. I probably wouldn't pay for another $13 brownie during my stay here, but if you're willing to splurge for good dessert - this is the place to do it. The waitress was very nice and accommodating to my group. She didn't have any problems splitting the check and distributing individual checks. The only downside was that she didn't check-up on our table that much during the meal, so waiting for a check took longer than expected. Personally, I wasn't bothered by it; in some European countries, it's rude for waiters to rush their patrons. I just wasn't sure if this was part of the Swedish culture or the waitress herself.

It's like a barbecue gumbo (but better than that sounds). It's so meaty, and yet the broth itself is this rich liquid which is like the essence of barbecue itself. It came with the best cornbread I've had outside of the United States (although I come from the UK which basically takes the opportunity to mess up cornbread every time I've had it). The pulled pork croquettes were also stand outs, as was just the overall service. Super friendly, and just chatting but in an unobtrusive way. Even though we were completely stuffed, we ordered the banana pudding. This was a very good choice, but I have to say that it's only the second best I've ever had. The first is Magnolia Bakery in New York, so frankly it's still quite the compliment!! Just so good. If I was in Stockholm longer, I'd be tempted to come back.

This was great serendipity - I'm so glad we stopped here and it was honestly a highlight of our trip. First of all, the view is amazing. The location is quiet and right on the water, so we could watch the boats go by while sipping our wine. We ate outside and it was quite lovely. I recently found out their meat is from Germany, which really makes it difficult to justify the price they charge. The restaurant itself is actually quite uncomfortable to dine in, because you are always seated within an earshot of someone else making it difficult to have a private conversation without the other table inadvertently eavesdropping. The real value here are the burgers served during lunchtime for around 100 SEK. All-in, not a bad choice but for the price charged they fall short.

The atmosphere has a great city vibe. Even on a Tuesday, the restaurant was quite full. Prices can go from 150-300kr a person, depending how hungry you are. Regardless of what you order, a complementary basket of breads and butter is served. The food took around 20-25 minutes from order-to-table. Judging from the food freshness, quality, taste to the attentive service and cool ambiance, Paul's has really made a strong first impression. I ordered the Phil's burger with bacon which came with fries and coleslaw, I also took a soda putting the price at around 130:- which is a bit over the top for a lunch, but it was definitely worth the money. The burger had the most amazing flavor and all of the condiments fit it perfectly. I'd dare saying it was almost orgasmic. The coleslaw was (unfortunately) awful and the fries were cold when they came out. I hope that isn't the case when they get settled in. I have a feeling I'll be a regular at Phil's and can't wait to see how they develop and grow over time.
