Ok. I know it seems silly to write a review about your local dump. However, a shout out is deserved for the service that the Saint-Gaudens Dechetterie provides. In some areas here in France, you can bring a wide variety of items to be recycled to the town dump: lawn and garden waste, metal, wood, furniture, old appliances, and "encombrants" (the catch all for most other things that don't fit in the other categories. Each bin is labeled. There is staff available to help you with tough calls and loft things that may be too heavy for some people. The staff is kind and helpful. It is one of the few places that is open 7 days a week in SW France, with limited hours on Sunday. They close for lunch 12:00-1:45 Monday through Saturday and ALSO close the entry gates ten minutes before closing time. read more
