This was my place to buy bottles of water and snacks for my hotel room. I also would buy some beer here too, after picking up a pizza to go from San Marco Pizza just across the street. Nothing like a hot fresh pizza with a cold beer to wash it down. They also had some great deals on beer here too. I was able to get some cans for a euro...that is a great deal...plus the beer had like 9 percent alcohol...I call that a good deal. I was a little scared when I first walked in here but found the place nice after a few visits.

I hope other companies will adopt it because there was not a single dish that I can eat at Smuller's. Their chicken is grey oat colour. I mean, I've never seen a chicken that would look like that. Unless you happen to drop by during lunch hour and happen to see a very long line of Yups, locals, and everyone else who has heard the word. In an area where you can get Surifood around every corner (literally), this place is always packed. Last time I ate at this place was 7 years ago (used to work near Bijlmer Station and frequented the place at least once a week) and I was recently delighted to find out they have literally stepped up their game: Brouwerij 't IJ beer in the fridge and a unparalleled (except maybe only to Roopram) roti production line in the front. If you are a Surifood enthousiast (which I am), happen to work in the area (which I did) or just happen to be around or within travel distance, this place is worth the visit. Especially during lunch, this place is worth the visit (the seating is Spartan at best and I wouldn't use words such as cosy, or relaxing to describe the interior). Also very glad to see a smart entrepreneur bridge cultural gaps and bring word food to a new audience (things like Craft beer in the fridge make it more enticing and recognizable for anyone who is inexperianced with the cuisine). Hooray for this place. My favorites are the vegetarian and shrimp roti rolls, but the lamb and chicken are equally good if you prefer the meat.
