Also indulged in the local Rüdesheimer drink which was a brandy mixed with sugar then lit on fire to caramelize the drink, then topped off with a huge dollop of whipped cream. The pastry comes out smoking, piping out. There's literally steam coming out of it. This left quite an impression as it is certainly dramatic. I must admit that I love these experiences as I just don't see U.S. eateries handing me such a temperature hot pastry due to all these needless safety reasons. As for the pastry itself, it is a twirl so you can tear off chunks that are partial curls. It has a nice crunch on the outside while the inside is perfectly chewy. You choose different topics. Most people while traveling don't carry a lot of cash on them for safety reasons so we found it hard to believe they would not accept a card. Oh well!
