I have never spoken with such a terrible and unprofessional insurance company in my entire life…read more They did not listen to anything that we had said when we were requesting quotes, instead tried to push future possible polices, far above what we asked for, over-complicating everything. They kept us on the phone for over 45 minutes, with no quote, and when we asked how soon it was we could actually get a quote, we were told how busy they were.... Yet not busy enough to quickly get through the quote process, but instead spoke repeatedly about things which were not relevant to our quote. She repeatedly talked over me, but I remained patient, and instead had to wait for a call back for her to look more into it to give us a quote.
She called back and gave us a quote 3 times higher than other quotes. The reasoning was because she added all of these additional things which we would be doing at the property despite the fact that we explained repeatedly we did not yet know what we were going to be doing with the property.
She cut us off while we were talking, multiple times, but after wasting 45 minutes earlier that morning, I was no longer patient. I repeatedly tried to finish a sentence while she continued cutting me off to tell me how much he knows about insurance. Then I actually had to raise my voice over her as I was not getting in a word edgewise because she wouldn't stop cutting us off and talking over us... I had my wife takeover the conversation hoping that her calm demeanour would somehow make the situation better but she continued being rude and insulting to my wife and speaking over her.
I got back on the phone with my wife, hoping that we could just resolve this because ultimately all I cared about was getting insurance to close on a property. In fact, at this point, I said we didn't have to like each other, I just wanted a quote and essentially the way insurance works, once we have a quote, we rarely have to deal with the agent anyway, and she went on to say she would have to work with me, and continued going on about how wrong I was about anything and everything. The person I spoke with continued getting rude and indignant. I honestly don't understand why. When you constantly cut someone off, who is a customer, why would you not expect them to get agitated or raise their voices?
All we wanted was a quote based on the actual use and not potential use of the property. The way we were treated was uncalled for. Yet in reverse, she continued speaking over us, acting as we were just endlessly yelling, no matter how composed we remained or how I tried to deescalate the situation, she would not stop. She continued to act that way until the end of the conversation. Ultimately I am at a loss for words, I am not really sure why this happened. In all the years I've done business, I have never spoken with a company that treated a customer this way, especially a business customer that was going to bring multiple Insurance policies to them.
