Unfortunately the staff were very rude and a member of staff said to another girl E***e make sure you are facing pointing back and forth at us, she replied with OH. I walked walked out after alerting my friend to what was said. the girl with dark hair shouts out the door bye and thanks. Not a nice way to treat customers especially visitors to the town. Some staff training would probably benefit the employees. I myself have worked in retail and my friend works in security so somehow I don't think we are going to steal. Will never visit again and will make friends and family aware of the poor customer service received

I was in the shop on Friday 14th Sept and couldnt believe my eyes with all of the tradditional…read moresweetie goodies. Home made fudge, macaroon bars, sherbet lemons all my old favourites. I did find my very favourite which were lemon bon bons with the sherbet sprinkled on the outside, they are very hard to come by these days. The lady asked how much would you like and I said how much do you have, unfortunately she only had about 500 grams left so I bought the lot, and ate the lot that night at home. I will certainly be back in the next week or so even though I will have to travel around 60 miles from Aberdeen, it will be well worth the trip to the little shop in Kirriemuir.

Great, freshly caught lobster and crab…read more We stayed in lovely Johnshaven for two nights. Just around the corner from our place was Murry McBay. We were looking for some fresh seafood and asked them were to buy some. We were very happy to learn that we can purchase lobsters and crabs directly from them, freshly caught (and still alive). We even got a box for them. So we bought two nice-sized crabs and a lobster. And....it did cost....9£!!! I mean wow....you can forget any seafood counter at any grocery store. Unbeatable prices and freshness! We cooked them for dinner. Great great flavour...did I mention already how fresh they were? Yeah, I guess I did. One of the crabs was female and had loads of eggs....a feast for seafood-lovers! So, if you stay in Johnshaven...or anywhere close: Look no further! This is THE place! Not sure about opening times, we just walked by, asked and got lucky.
