I got monthly service from this company as they also service my neighbor and I thought they could do my house when they came out to do my neighbor's. They charged me for a monthly service and I got invoices but never saw anyone; which is odd because I work from home. One day they sent me an invoice and they did not service my home. I watched as they came to my neighbor's house and serviced their home but did not come to mine. Yet I still got a bill. I called to ask when they would service my home and the lady that answered said, I don't know, I have to call him. I have video of them visiting my neighbor's home and leaving. I have receipts. We had many pest control companies to choose from but we chose ER Moore because we were new to the area and they were recommended and their receptionist was kind and returned our calls promptly but after we hired them for mice extermination the communication stopped immediately after the exterminator went through the house. We needed to know what the findings and report was and what kind of traps were set by the exterminator in the (vacant) home we were closing on. We needed to trust them because we were living 4 hours away and couldn't be there very often until we closed on the property. All we received was an emailed bill that thankfully the seller of the home finally agreed to pay. The day we moved in we needed to know if poison was put down anywhere in the home so our pets and children wouldn't get into it. We called ER MOORE for over a week prior to our move in basically begging for this information , left voice messages, texts, emails, for the receptionist, exterminator and the owner and NO ONE would call, text or email us back! When we were finally able to enter our home we found snap traps set with no bait on them and we still don't know if poison was also set somewhere. Almost $500.00 they charged for a few snap traps that cost $1.00 for a 6 pack at the dollar general store and no report was ever given to us. Total rip off and they just added more stress to an already stressful time. read more

Unless you are a friend of the owner, don't bother. Basically, Mr. Moore inspected and certified our house about 10 months ago against termites. Guess what we have?! Termites. We called Mr. Moore out not realizing that he had done our initial inspection. Evidently Mr. Moore didn't realize it either because he had told my significant other that the termites have had to of been here longer than a year. We got a quote and told him we'd have to discuss it and see what we could do. Well, significant other pulled out the initial inspection report and low and behold Mr. Moore was the inspector. So Mr. Moore got a call back and all he could say (paraphrasing) was, "It's possible I could have missed something. I'll cut your quote in half." In half?!?! Uh, how about you fix your overlook for free! We called out Terminix who spent about 3 hours out here (2 hours and half hours longer than Mr. Moore). Terminix walked through the whole house with my significant other explaining everything he was checking for and everything he was seeing. My significant other told him the situation and Terminix's response (paraphrasing): "Any pest inspector would have to be blind to miss this damage and fail to see that it has been here for a year. I've been doing this for about 34 years now and in my experience, this damage has probably been here closer to a few years. It sounds to me that a friend of a friend did the inspection and certified it and the termite company that certified the house should be held liable for this damage." Hopefully Mr. Moore does a better job resolving issues than he does actually inspecting houses. read more

They came out to determine our issues. They were punctual, knowledgeable, etc. Told us if we wanted to use their services to give them a call. We gave them a call/email and they said that they would be out at a particular time and date. Did they show up at that time, they did not, they were an hour and a half late, with no call stating that they would be late. Then they proceeded to say that they didn't have proper traps available and would need to come back. We gave them a chance, scheduled our next opportunity, WHICH IS TODAY. DID THEY SHOW UP? NOPE. DID THEY CALL TO SAY THEY WOULD BE LATE? HECK NO! They didn't answer their phones, NOTHING! Very unprofessional! How is this even a reputable business. We called, emailed, nothing. That's beyond rude! Is it because we aren't locals?! 3 hours later. Just so bizarre. Not worth your time people. Obviously they can't handle the business. Thanks for NOTHING. :( read more

ER Moore, Tehachapi, was hired my seller's agent, who apparently did not perform due diligence in their hiring procedure, and was given 4 weeks to complete the inspection, repairs, and certification. ER Moore waited until the last day to perform the inspection, pushing my close date back, destroying my schedule and costing me a lot of money. There was no communication from ER Moore as to potential trouble spots or findings, only that a 12 inch section of water-stained baseboard needed to be repainted. This, of course, led to a new charge to come out and verify that paint was applied. Apparently, ER Moore likes to double charge for their services. When the final certification was completed, again several days late due to the inspector's apparent inability to utilize a computer, I received a generic report full of legal disclaimers and a single generic sentence certifying the property for no apparent time period. Communication: ER Moore never answered their office phone, never returned phone calls, and their website was down. This is the most incompetent, lazy, unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I will be contacting the BBB, although I am sure they are not even register, and I will also contact Kern County to verify that they have a business license, and why they have been allowed to keep it. This company did our termite inspection before we bought our house. Their disclaimer is that they could not see through walls. However, when we discovered that there was a large infestation of termites in one room of the house, they wanted us to pay $650 more to correct the problem. We had already paid $1100 for them to do the initial certification and it seemed almost like a scam that they were expecting more money when it should have been taken care of in the first place, or at least covered by our initial investment. I have their monthly pest control service. So far so good. It's a flat rate for outside and inside pest control. I ask for poison outside and pet/child-safe poison inside. They have a guarantee and will come out again at no charge if pests come back (a service that I have utilized). On top of it, the service people and receptionist have been very pleasant. After calling numerous other companies and being fustrated by their pricing as well as the 1 week to 2 week wait for them to be able to come spray. I called and set up a monthly spray with ER Moore when we moved in to our house. The special they had was an amazing price and they came out that day. Every staff member they have sent out has been nice, knowledgable, and proffesional. They have come out within hours each time I have called with a problem. One day the office was closed and I left a message. They still called back and sent someone out because I had ants in the babies room. I am very pleased with this company and their staff.
