There are good people to be found at any church. And in almost any crowd for that matter. I will put it that way. I went here for quite some time and was pretty involved. I will just say as soon as I left it seemed I didn't make much of a dint after all, as most people here stopped replying to me who I considered friends. Not that we fell out of touch. I mean actually just stopped communicating with me because I moved away and apparently I wasn't super important to them after all. I won't be more specific than that. What I will say is consider what kind of crowds the sermons draw at any church. That will be the fruit. If they are very social-media friendly for example, the attendants will reflect that. Since I am not keen on being a Christian influencer or gaining followers, I guess it was inevitable it would be time to leave at some point. Just my experience. Some churches are there for you to grow out of eventually and that is OK too, everyone starts their walk somewhere. But I do not see a whole lot of actual paper Bibles in the audience to put it shortly. read more

My experience at E2 has been a blessing. Prior to coming I was intentionally disconnected from church due to previous experiences. I have been in church 35+ years and have not felt as loved on, non-judged, and as welcome as I feel here. My journey here has taught me to give more grace to others, celebrate the wins for Jesus, be a giver to others and not just receive for myself. As a volunteer, I love that I can be active in a part of someone else's journey to finding Jesus. Witnessing so many people giving their lives to Christ is the ultimate blessing. Trinh was rude to a guest i brought to church. My guest didnt want to talk to her like she is some "important" person to acknowledge and she took offense. No one asked Trinh to intervene. My guest had a mental crisis and was dealing with suicidal thoughts. It is family led cult. Trinh is not mature in Christ. She should not be leading others. read more

I love the discipleship and opportunities for growth at E2 Church, they have multiple classes and ways you can get involved. I have met so many awesome people here and the congregation is very diverse so I feel comfortable bringing anyone with me. It's taken me a long time to talk about this but this church does feel cult-ish. The atmosphere is amazing and that's exactly what I felt (and I'm sure is meant to be felt) until I started realizing how quickly they expect so much of your time/money as a volunteer. I tried letting them know one week that I wasn't able to make it to a volunteer time slot due to my birthday and was met with an unexpected angry voicemail shaming me for letting the team down. I left shortly after because if I wanted a part time job I would have applied for one. It's great until it isn't anymore and I hope it's changed for the better! read more

Walking on campus of this church family is just that! Greeted like you're showing up to a family celebration. Warm and genuine. They call it a Worship experience and it is! I said a prayer on my way in as the presence of the Holy Spirit fell over the room, with voices & hands raised in beautiful harmony of love to the Father! A church that is loud, fun, passionate, diverse and in the words of Pastor Jarod, "aggressive." From a millennial perspective this isn't a traditional quiet or elongated worship experience. It's exciting and welcoming. It is pretty loud so if you're looking for a laid back or quiet service this isn't what you're looking for. We are loud and we get excited. I must say that our experience has been pretty great, but what my husband and I didn't really like was how their volunteers made us feel about wanting our young child to attend the service along with us (as opposed to going to eKidz). We've only attended twice, and on both occasions, we got the same energy. We kind of felt shunned, and was directed to a back corner which is pretty disappointing. We're a young family, looking for a home church and recently started going back to church to introduce it to our little one. But overall, Pastor Jared is great, the music is beautiful (the lead singer can BLOW!), and the production (lighting, graphics, etc.) is pretty amazing. We really appreciate the young and modernized approach of this church. You can tell they put a lot of work in every weekend. I just hope they work on making all members of a family feel inclusive. read more

I started attending Elevation Sacramento In October 2014. From the very beginning, the volunteers here have been welcoming and friendly. I was seeking God and a foundation for my (and my kids) faith; this church plugged us in throughly. The worship experience is similar to that of attending a concert and I can feel the Holy Spirit surrounding me while Pastor Steven is giving me God's word. This church speaks life into me and my kids. I feel so alive and invigorated after each Worship Experience! After being someone who was just standing in the worship experience, My kids, my fiancé and I have started to volunteer as well. We each have our own sweet spot at that we gift the church. The guidance here is never ending; I love the vision casting that the extension director, Q Nguyen, gives us before each Worship Experience. I was looking for a new Christian church with good people and a passionate Pastor. Today, I found it! It was a little bit of a wild goose chase finding them. But if you're looking for the English ministry of Emmanuel Korean Baptist Church (originally in Sacramento), this is it! I ended up driving to the wrong address at first, but I eventually found them. So discussed at how my daughter with a disability was accepted! So taken back with the way a service member of the church greeted her!!!The service itself is weird and NOT a self service pick where you want to sit, they send you to your seats by pointing you where you need to sit. The environment was so loud and not a lot of seats, but when being pointed to the seats to sit, I had stated it was way way too loud for me and my ears, I was asked if I wanted earplugs and I said yes, please. I was never given those earplugs and after a full song decided to exit the service. I think the reviews are not representative of what it actually is. read more

If you want to feel the Love of God and a place where you never want to leave because of the environment and the people, Elevation Church is the place to be! Pastor Steven preach a powerful sermon every week, that is life changing. Right when you drive in the parking lot you are greeted with friendly and smile faces, which is such a pleasant to start out your early Sunday. Then when you walk into the auditorium you can feel the peace surround you and the Worship is AMAZING! My soul sing every time. I am so energized with the band and the life lesson sermon. It's just a totally different experience then what a traditional church look and feels like. I just feel totally alive and fresh every week when I attend. This church is amazing! From the minute you park your car you already feel the love and excitement this church has to offer. I love how this church accepts you as you are and their passion about Christ is so contagious, its amazing! I get the opportunity to serve on the welcome team and meet so many amazing people eager to seek God every Sunday morning. I am blessed to be serving alongside with such dedicated volunteers. I was invited by a very special warrior of god to this church in a time where I found myself walking in the dark filled with brokenness and destruction. This church was so welcoming and loving but most of all full of faith and it out poured from every member of the church. This church makes you feel at home and it's a community within itself. Every sermon is preached with such passion through the Holy Spirit. They even have E2 for kids where they separate children according to age so they too can have a worship experience at their age level! I've been coming to this church for a year now and man has my life change. I'm stationed in the United States Coast Guard and I was looking for a church when I found out I was getting stationed in Sacramento. My wife and I attend Elevation in Charlotte, NC so when she told me there was an extension site in Sacramento, I became so excited. This was clearly a call from God and since then it's been life changing. If your looking for a diverse, upbeat, fun, and loving church. This is place for you. I've been attending E2 Church for a little over 2 years. I had been searching for a home church for years. I stumbled upon E2 because our friend Missy was going to be a guest leading worship so we went to support and check out E2. I was overly greeted and not going to lie, it was a bit overwhelming. The WORSHIP and the WORD was SO GOOD, I had to come back. The overwhelming part went away. The people were genuine and as they got to know me, I got more comfortable. I've read some negative reviews that were a little disheartening. Why? Because I don't want those reviews to turn you away from checking out the church. When you walk in the church, you will feel the presence of God and know that what E2 is doing for the kingdom is real. It's NEVER been about the "numbers," it's always about bring someone who is far from God, lost and searching to experience God and encounter HIM! I've been in church my entire life. I've visited many churches and THIS is the one for me and my family. E2 Church has an awesome kids program, so parents can really get the most out of the sermon and worship experience without having to worry about their kids being distractions or being bored. Everyone is very sincere and welcoming, as they greet you with warm hugs and smiles. It's a very well organized/coordinated church and they really seem to know how to take good care of people that are visiting for the first time. Pastor Q and Pastor Jared pack some serious HEAT in their messages and I leave every Sunday feeling refueled and ready to take on the next week no matter what life may throw at me. I found Elevation Sacramento during a time when God was bringing me back to life.
