The priests are men of God and the people serving in the different ministries are committed Christians. If you want to participate in Mass (English or Spanish) to celebrate the real sacrifice of our Lord, this is a parroquial place to be. My wife and five children have been in attendance for 13 years and now that they are young adults and away from home, the teachings they received have stayed with them forever. Every time they come back we all back as a big family to celebrate the Holy Mass together.

We moved to Kingwood 12 years ago from out of state and began going to St. Martha's. It was the…read morebiggest church I have ever attended but in it we all (my family of 5) found a kind and faithful community of followers. There are SO many ministries, Bible studies, and groups that are available to join that it really makes the church feel much smaller than it appears from the outside. And there are at least 6 Mass times each weekend, which makes it easy to find a convenient time to go when you have a busy schedule. My family has grown in faith and always felt supported by the wonderful families at St. Martha. As for the review that complained about the traffic and asked the question "what does St. Martha do for me?" my response would be that St. Martha actually does a lot in terms of supporting the community of Kingwood and beyond. St. Martha provides assistance via food and resources through HAAM and Martha's Kitchen (providing free hot meals in downtown Houston M-F), provides assistance to those without work to find jobs (Between Jobs and Beyond ministry), sponsors various mission trips, provides 3-day spiritual retreats to the men in prison in Huntsville (Kolbe retreat), sponsors 4 ACTS retreats per year (English men's & women's, and Spanish men's & women's), provides grief support following loss through a series of meetings/support group, provides a vibrant middle school and high school youth group program where our young people can come for fellowship and in-person socialization and games. Fun fact: The Knight of Columbus at St. Martha are the primary organizers for the TX Marathon Kingwood each year and all proceeds are donated to children's charities! They said good but ignored it and berated me and I told them that due to my trauma and anxiety issues from childhood I would not be receptive and this would probably cause a panic attack. Yet they didn't care. You hear in the recording they would ask me questions and when I go to answer I don't get to finish since they would cut me off and kept doing it until I told them to stop interrupting me when they asked me a question and told and it only got worse. I did go into a panic attack and I don't remember bits and pieces after that since I was told by doctors my minds defense to keep itself together after panic attacks is sort of mini black out moments. They even said at the beginning of it that my medical issues are not to be brought up since they aren't doctors but know my issues steam from medical. I am BEYOND appalled that I used to call them friends and family. Now I know that even after 10 years they still hold mistakes I did from that long ago. They brought it up time and time again, yet they don't hold each other accountable for some of their issues they shared with me that prevent others from going to this HORRIFIC church. I trashed any and all items or memories that had this logo on it. After that meeting, and after I was let go, I went home, not remembering parts of the drive due to my mental state and just remember getting home and having more panic attacks until I think 5pm then my wife gets a call by one of them because I told them I was blocking them after the harm they caused to me and they refused to take ANY ACCOUNTABILITY OR EVEN APPALOGIZE to me for the harm they put me through and when I ripped that "elder" a new one for the mental harm they put me through, he NEVER ONCE APPOLOGIZED and instead enforced a ban on us. So if anyone has any mental health issues or makes any mistakes even in home groups since some of the home groups started spreading things about me (one of the elders told me in the meeting) just find a new church since the leaders NEED TO GROW A LOT MORE before they deal with ANY COUNCELING. They are not ready to lead this congregation or counselling sessions since they can't take accountability for their own screw ups towards members of the church.

The congregants are a diverse, vibrant, and definitely community oriented people. Come expecting to be challenged by the Word, encouraged through community, and blown away by the worship. There is also a children's ministry, nursery, and a mom room for mothers of newborns. This is the best kept secret in Atascocita and must be experienced to be truly understood.
