I know she was crying hysterically when it happened and nobody tells me what happened. Then they take her outside without putting her hat and snow pants on. Also there facilities are so small and their play area is in a parking lot (not exactly what I consider safe). The owner shows no compassion and love for kids is not the type of person who should be running a preschool.

Our schedules are changing every week so some weeks she is able to attend daycare by 7am and other days she comes in by 11am, the staff has never had an issue with my family dropping off our child during the various hours of the day and work so well with us! Our child genuinely enjoys her time at daycare and often tells me about her playtime over dinner. I have noticed my child learning so many new topics and it warms my heart seeing how much she has learned. I will definitely continue sending our younger children when they are of age to this learning center. The teachers along with Jenn are so understanding and helpful - I couldn't imagine a better learning center for our family.

They're both incredible, detail oriented, and we couldn't have been happier leaving our son in their care. The previous Director, Brit, was also very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. After pulling our son out of KinderCare for a while during COVID, we returned in Spring '21 and there was a noticeable shift in the staff and attitude when we returned. It's only now that we're with a different daycare company that we realize how bad things really were at this KinderCare. Things were weird with dropoff/pickup, requiring parents to hand our kids off to random staff not allowing us in the classrooms due to COVID concerns, which we definitely appreciate, but this lack of seeing past the front lobby continued well after vaccines were available and the majority of CO residents had gotten them. There were times when we had to tell the person who our child was and what room they were supposed to be in as we're dropping them off. Not once after returning in Spring '21 did we meet the people caring for our son. One day he would be in one room, another day he would be in another room. It was weird having to leave our son with whoever randomly came out to get him on any given morning, not knowing where he was ending up or who would be watching him. Randomly the Director then emailed all of the parents saying she's moving out of state in two weeks, another odd red flag. During this time (Spring '21) it wasn't uncommon for us to get photos of our son being served meat, despite explaining that we're a vegetarian household. We would bring it to the attention of the staff and get responses like "it was only part of the photo but we didn't actually give it to him to eat". What?! He would routinely have accidents at daycare, despite at this point being potty trained and having no accidents at home, which had us wondering how often he was able to go to the bathroom or if his teacher paid attention to his requests to do so. There were a few times where we picked him up and his shorts had clearly been wet for a while, but he obviously hadn't been changed. There were also times when they emailed all of the parents asking to pick our kids up early because they didn't have enough people there to watch them. One week this was requested for 3 days in a row. This completely negates the point of child care if working parents have to leave work early to get their kids for no other reason than this KinderCare can't seem to figure out staffing issues. Finally one day at pickup (outside, waiting in line) I asked the Asst. Director what was going on since things had clearly started going off the rails here, and she told me they were trying to hire new staff "who actually care about their jobs". She also let me know that numerous staff members put in their 2 weeks notice and then just never returned. Yikes. As weird as all of this made us feel, it's only the stark contrast of our current daycare that brought to light how mismanaged Canyon Point KinderCare was by the time we left. If you're a parent questioning if what you're going through at Canyon Point is acceptable, it definitely is not.

Ms. Kayla has been particularly amazing. She has been with our daughter in the explorer classroom since we started and has been a true partner to us in our child's development. If we ever are having a challenge at home, we know we can bring it to the teachers at GHM and they'll help reinforce our parenting efforts in the classroom as well. The administrative team is hands on (yay for Jesse, Alyscia, and Jessica!) and so welcoming and kind. I regularly see them in classroom and getting g involved with the kids and as teacher support. Love to see it. 2) GHM strives to foster community amongst parents and families at the school. There are dad's nights, mom's nights, family barbecues and more! I have had the chance to get to know most of the parents of the kids in my daughter's classroom, which is awesome. 3) Parent teacher conferences are regularly scheduled and the staff comes prepared with detailed notes on your child's development and milestones. You can really have a collaborative discussion about your child and their needs! It felt really lovely to hear their perspective because they were so detailed and thoughtful in their assessment. 4) Look, all schools are dealing with staffing shortages, but we have had far less of an issue with this at GHM than we did at our last school. Our daughters teachers have been very consistent and in the event of staff turnover, Jesse, Alyscia and Jessica will do everything in their power to keep the school open - we've never had a school closure due to short staffing -- at our last school this was a regular occurrence. 5) We love that the school takes care of breakfast, lunch and snacks for the kids! Balanced meals, and such a relief to not have to do this at home every night. Helps free up the time we have at home with our daughter for play and connection! End of the day, this is the best possible school for our family. Highly recommend to other parents. Feel so lucky that we found it.

The neglect of my son not being given water or having sun block put on him by the director of the center while she was in preschool filling in for the lack of consistent teachers and chaos in preschool as is.. Coming home with his underwear having serious skid marks from the teachers not caring for his proper hygene, to his paints and underwear being backwards and shoes on the wrong feet. When I tried to tell the teacher she raised her voice to talk over me and interrupt me to tell me " Well he did that" before I was able to voice my other concerns, veing please wipe his butt better next time and clothes on properly. I thought teachers are supposed to teach the kids how to do things the right way and stand for GHM own "Morals and standards" what a joke. He hires woman is mini shirts and people who have no experience becaude he is desperate for the fill in. No wonder with the way he treats and represents people internally. It looks sparkly on the outside until you get your child in and your family in then you realize it is nothing but terrible communication, an owner out for money and a director who doesnt support her teachers or get out of her chair. Then I got a phone call, not the decency of a face to face conversation by the owner Jesse being told I screamed in the classroom, an over reaction, he nor his teachers cared to listen to my concerns. This is just one exampke of many. There is a new teacher there every week and they don't last for for then a couple weeks if that. I have called state and jeffco for child neglect a few weeks ago and will do so again. The countless teachers that come through this center is unreal. Eight teachers I counted in April and the list goes on. Your child will not have consistent teachers or care. Preschool is out of control as I have had a sub teacher tell me how the director thinks that yelling and screaming gets 3 years to listen and they feel inadiquite and uncomfortable there because they feel it a lost cause. If you want true care for your child and genuine "Vetran Buisness owners" who care about the true well being, BEWARE. Take your money elsewhere as you will be highly disappointed. This is definitely not a diamond in the rough. Ashes to ashes. P.S. Jesse from a Marine to a Marine, we have corps values. Honor, Courage and Commitment. Where is your honor. I sure don't see it. The only thing you honor a dollor sign.. Your commitment... Your sure not committed to the children and how they are being taking care. Courage, where is your integrity? After deciding to start a nanny share with another family, we initially thought that we could save ourselves some money and hire a nanny ourselves by advertising for the position on websites like Care.com and Facebook. However, this proved extremely time-consuming, yielded few qualified applicants, and resulted in someone we tried to hire backing out last minute, leaving us with just two weeks before our current childcare ended... with no nanny, no additional qualified applicants, and no time or energy left for the search (since it was a busy time for me at work). At that point, we contracted with Kiddie Up to help us find a nanny for our nanny share. Just one day after signing the contract, Maggie set up a conference call with me and the other mom and posted the position posted right away. Within four days of signing the contract, Maggie sent us four qualified applicants and we started interviews right away. During and after our nanny search, Maggie was extremely communicative via email, always answering my questions within 24 hours but usually much faster. The nannies who applied to our position through Kiddie Up were of a MUCH higher caliber than any we found on our own. All of them had already passed a background check, completed an interview with Maggie, and had their references checked before we received their applications. I feel extremely thankful that we found our amazing and experienced nanny among those applicants. She has been working for us for four weeks now and has far exceeded our expectations in every single way! Without Maggie and Kiddie Up, we never would have found her. Maggie also helped us with contract negotiations and set us up with a wonderful, experienced temporary nanny who worked for just my family during the two weeks before our permanent nanny could start. If you want to hire a professional nanny, I highly recommend contracting with Maggie and Kiddie Up Nannies. Their services are well worth the cost and much more reasonable than other agencies. The negative reviews are the exact opposite of my experience with Maggie and Kiddie Up. If in doubt, I suggest you email Maggie yourself to see what kind of response you receive. I trust that you will find her to be professional and communicative in every way.
