We called aultman roofing, who quickly figured out that SQUIRRELS had gotten into the attic and were literally chewing up the shingles at the roof edge. Not something we ever would've guessed. Instead of just patching it, they helped us get set up with a pest control company and came back a few days later and fixed the roof. The whole process was super smooth, and everything looks completely back to normal. They were just really easy to work with and clearly knew what they were doing. After a week of waiting I called him and he stated he had been very busy and he would get back with me in two days. After waiting another week I called his office and one of his employee's send he would return my phone call when he returned, he did not.
