Not only was he super nice and professional, but I appreciated the fact that he didn't try to sell me services I didn't need. He inspected my windows and said that they were actually in good shape - they just needed their cords to be replaced. I was able to schedule the work with him quickly and one of his staff came out and did a great job. Windows that haven't opened in who-knows-how-long are now completely operable! He even moved a window for us that is being relocated to a different part of the house. And I am so glad he suggested this - I am pretty sure that if one of our regular contractors tried to do this, the window would have been broken. And even better news - his rates are very reasonable! Laryn is the first person who hasn't tried to completely over-charge us for a restoration service, which I greatly appreciate. He clearly cares about historic homes and wants to do right by them and their owners. He is also extremely knowledgeable and was able to point out a few other things that we need to address. Schedule work and travel plans to make the appointment, I even stayed for the appointment when I was notified of a family emergency at 11pm the night prior because I could not cancel w/ notice. NO Did they call the number - maybe discover their error when they realized it was a Sacramento, CA number? BIG FAT NO. Did they send a text to both numbers on the account? APPARENTLY NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. When the first number didn't respond, did they try the second? SEEMS THAT WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR THEM. Did at any point during the week prior or at the time of the appointment cancellation did they send an email? NOOOooooo. When I called after waiting 30 minutes for their sales person to arrive did they offer to get someone out? OF COURSE NOT. All they offered was to throw the appointment back in the queue.
