The book selection is thoughtfully designed with diversity and representation in mind. It truly amplifies voices that are often underrepresented. I appreciate the resources for immigrant advocacy materials, support and fundraisers. They also host many community workshops, like sewing, hair braiding, and open mic events. Community building and creating resources for empowerment is one component. It's definitely not just a book store but a pillar in the community by creating space where identities are uplifted.

We arrived and checked in with no trouble (please note registration is required for events). There was a few set ups for the kids and each kid will then choose their controller. They started the tournament and it was so fun seeing all the kids in action. The staff was so friendly and provided food & drinks. This Event was completely free no cost. This is an amazing store with so much to look at and so many books to choose from. They will be having a few more events and you guys definitely need to to join me and the kids have already signed up for their Dia De Los muertos workshop. Can't wait.

They also had a pop-up coffee stand that was a little pricey but pretty good. All the workers are always very helpful and super nice. And the location is great. Whatever you do, stay away from this rip off artist.Several years ago, I contracted with them a…read moreconsignment to sell my large collection of vintage movie magazines and pin up material with an agreement to sell my collection on Ebay over 3 months.He had one excuse after another as to why he wasn't selling my collection and violating all the terms of his own contract until finally, after 6 months, I requested to cancel the arrangement and return my collection.During those 6 months he was always late making payments for my stuff that sold and even kept money for himself from things of mine sold.After canceling with him, he sent some unsold material to me in the mail, much of it not even mine - it took another 6 months to get my collection back and then was given 24 hours to pick it up and was told he set it out by his dumpster.I finally got the collection back and discovered near half of it had been stolen, nearly $100,000 retail value.I was in litigation with him for a couple of years but finally had to quit as I am a disabled senior on a fixed income who was now going through cancer treatment.His settlement offer was to pay me $2000 of money he already owed me left unpaid and the return of $75 of smutty photos I had never even seen before.I don't know how he can live with himself cheating a retired, sick, old man out of a collection it took 40 years to assemble.STAY AWAY!

When I called to inquire, they said they were out of stock and it would take 4-5 weeks for delivery. No apologies or anything, instead I was issued a refund without even being told that they couldn't deliver on their own promise. I never asked for a refund. Btw, the guy I spoke on the phone was dry and rude. I wouldn't spend a dime at this dysfunctional business. Typical Persian run store with an attitude.

I followed my question by asking for any newsstand variants, he called my request bullsh-. I apologized, and he said "it's okay, a lack of education will do that". He dismissed any questions after that with rude remarks and attitude. For someone that had an amazing collection of valuable comics, the worker made it extremely hard to want to purchase from them ever. What a terrible experience.
