Apartment not move in ready. I was stuck and I feel they knew it. Maintenance lackluster apt most likely not even painted. Had crickets. Still do after two treatments. Door still needs replaced. Have some kind of storage room next door. Painter said something about it being his stuff. Dissed by management. So far not what I expected. Right now making Door has a gap in it letting in bugs and cold air. Told we are investigating it. My back screen would not open. Who ever answered the phone did not say her name and told me that it was not an emergency. Been a week, no one came. Good thing the fire department came and assisted me. People masquerade as friendly. One matenence person commented on me having my heat set where it was. I woke up and the place was cold I had it set to warm the place. I don't think it was his business to comment. Nothing is wrong according to them. A gap in the door wide enough to see out of certainly cannot be contributing to the cold draft. Been here a short time and already feel this was a mistake. Let's see just how much more documentation is needed to get things done here outside meters are wide open and exposed the utility room door is broken and will not stay shut. I watched a squirrel go into it and come out the other day. Maybe if they chew a wire and start a fire something can be done. Hopefully no one will get hurt messing with the meters. Let's see what kind of retribution I get. Maybe another reply saying we care..... we want our tenants to be safe and happy I thought maybe here was some improvement here.....smh. DO NOT MOVE HERE! I just moved out and I had to pay a carpet cleaning company $207 to clean the carpet after living here for 4 years, just to find out that they removed and replaced the carpet. I asked for a refund and I was told that the price would have been depreciated from my security deposit and probably an extra charge if I didn't pay to get it professionally cleaned. I was never informed of this before I moved here. Also, you'll get two water/sewage bills after you move out as well. This has been the most stressful move out process ever. Regarding my stay here as a resident... Maintenance can be slow sometimes but they always show up eventually and they always do a great job. My biggest issue here are the crazy squirrels. I've had squirrels break into my apartment twice and one actually ripped open my screen protector on my window and I recorded it on my phone. In my building we had a flood from a pipe burst, so I would not recommend living on the bottom floor, but the top floor usually have squirrels running around the attic, so I'd recommend living in the middle. The neighborhood is relatively safe now since the shooting twice in 2020, but it was the same location until the target was taken care of. I had a very drug dealer in my building but the neighbors kept complaining about all of his parties. My Amazon packages kept getting stolen by his clients because they left the packages in front of the mailboxes in the hallway. Management couldn't do anything about it, so that was frustrating. Lastly, when you move out, you have to pay a professional to clean your carpet out they will take it out of your security deposit. That I highly disagree with, no matter how long you've lived here. Mine was $207 for an 690 sq ft 1 bedroom and I was very annoyed about that while trying to move it. The staff is friendly and of course that's how they are going to sell this place to you, however, again I would not recommend living here they can and will change up policies to get more money out of you. read more

Due to suspicion of mold I went else where to stay until they solved the problem. I reported a damp carpet. They told me it was newly installed. The oven was filthy. There was a musty smell. I did my own test and boom! Of course mold. The a/c units are so loud they wake you up out of your sleep when it turns on. Marijuana smell throughout building and home. Noisy neighbors. They still have not sent out anyone to test the apartment and have offered me no recourse . Renters insurance does not cover property mgmt negligence. Maintenance takes weeks for help, you basically have to call and complain to get it done. Office staff act like you are bothering them when you ask for help. I've complained numerous times about the tenants above me and the creaky floors. Nothing fixed. There are kids in the complex who come into the hallways and pee on the floor!!! Have been living here for a little over a year now Pros - close proximity to the mall , various restaurants , easy access to highways, quite neighborhood , woodsy area Cons - almost everything. No one picks up after their dogs, normally a regular maintenance request will take 2-3 days for them to answer, rarely ever that day. I had a major appliance break ( after they did random maintenance on it ) only for it to continuously break again and again. I have had problems with my power going out every month. In addition my water gets turned off every other month as well "due to the city working on the pipeline". They split the water bill according to how many people live in your building and not based on what you use. The rent goes up every year and I've had to deal with squirrels in the attic and mice in my apartment. I pray I can move to a better apartment when my lease is up in February. The floor is paper thin and so are the walls. You can smell whatever your neighbor smokes or cooks in your apartment. I wouldn't recommend this place to a blind man. I don't even want to give this one star but it's required I put something in. I lived there for a little over a year and it was the WORST apartment experience in my entire life. Everything was horrible, from the quality of living conditions, vermin, and the crowd that they have living in there. I hate to be so negative in this review because I honestly had high hopes when I initially moved there and being brand new to Maryland. Many of my coworkers also moved into this complex around the same time as well and had similar experiences. Here are some of the experiences I had and you can draw your own opinions of whether you should move here or not. Let's first start with the office: At first when you're a perspective renter, they will bend over backwards and sell you on the attractive rates and amenities. However, once you're actually renting there, they're extremely difficult to work with. I called multiple times and would leave a message with he front desk. She was always so nice and polite and would tell me she took everything down and someone will get back to me. Either no one got back to me or it would take so long the issue would be null and void at that point. Then notices were sent to me saying an amount that was still due. I would ask them to verify the amount and 95% of the time the amount due was either incorrect or should not have been incurred at all. If I didn't make the office verify I would paying things for nothing. Maintenance: I complained that the HINGES on my door to enter my apartment were loose and could someone please fix it. Well that request fell on deaf ears and it was never fixed. I had an ANIMAL that lived in my dryer duct. The animal was never removed. It got to the point where I just named it since it was going to ride out the rest of my lease with me. Those were just two things in particular that I had complained about multiple times. For the smaller things that I needed, like when my bathroom door was stuck or closet door wouldn't stay on the track, they came immediately. For the bigger things like when MY HEATER BROKE DURING THE MIDDLE OF WINTER, they took close to a week to fix it. VERMIN: Listen, some vermin is to be expected in apartments. The occasional spider, pincher bugs... This place has an INFESTATION of carpet bugs, cockroaches, and I will never be able to forget the mice. I came home to find a dead mouse bleeding all over my living room floor. It not only took maintenance over an hour to show up to remove the mouse, but then I had to wait over THREE WEEKS for them to have someone come into my apartment to shampoo the rugs because you can imagine just how unsanitary mouse blood can be. The cockroaches and carpet bugs were the worst though. I would be sitting on my couch and I would constantly see things moving along the floor. The exterminator that the apartment complex has ONLY comes on Wednesdays. The extent of what they did for me was they put ONE PIECE of fly paper under my sink and told me that should be good enough!!!! Apartment: The actual apartment was pretty run down. The only positive thing was the counter tops in the kitchen. The floors creaked horribly, the paint job looked like Ray Charles was the painter used, and not to mention the water came out orange. Safety and Surroundings: There were so many incidents surrounding my safety here, that I had the Baltimore Police Department on SPEED DIAL because I called that many times. I had packages stolen from my front door. It got so bad, I called the Post Office and told them not to deliver ANYTHING that did not fit in the mail slot. The amount of solicitors that are in that neighbor too is frightening since they look like they just got out of prison. I've seen the cops there a countless amount of times to break up parties, domestic issues, suspicious characters, and drug activity. My friend had his side mirror broken off by someone who hit his car and drove off. There was always a lot of activity going on in the parking lot at night and I was always worried my car would get stolen. Trying to Break the Lease and After your Walk-Through Breaking the lease there is impossible. I tried multiple times and the office is extremely difficult to work with and disavow any claim you may have to break your lease without penalty. I guess VERMIN and SAFETY do not qualify as legitimate reasons. Then after all my issues with this apartment complex they had the AUDACITY to come back to me after the walk-through and tell me that I owe THEM for carpet and walls. I told them basically in a non-PC version that they can shove those fees up where the sun don't shine and they can PAY ME for even suffering in that complex for that long!!! My entire experience at Eagles Walk was horrible, and my advice to you is to really weigh out your options before considering this place. I was blinded by the low rates and amenities, but over all my peace of mind and security was not worth it. read more

I have lived for a little over 3 years. Let's start with the positive: 1. super close to CCBC and shopping areas. 2. The rent WAS okay up until this year. 3. Maintenance will come for little things. Now to the Negative: 1. You can hear creeks from walking and your neighbors creeks. 2. I had someone stick a knife in my car key hole 3. I've seen the police called so many times for domestic disturbances. 4. Rent went up substantially because they are "renovating". 5. I've had numerous mice visiting me and I call maintenance and I still have problem because apparently there are holes behind my stove and dish washer. 6. I signed a lease with Eagles Walk despite the terrible reviews. It's the most cheap "renovated" apartment I've ever seen. The floorboards aren't level with the carpet, the tile panel in the shower comes apart, the carpet has been pulling up from multiple locations in the house. I've sprayed twice for bugs on my own because maintenance hasn't come to do it. I find bugs everywhere and I keep a clean apartment. I put a work order in for my freezer to be looked at, due to it not freezing foods. I specifically put in the work order to NOT go into home without me there or calling due to animals. Maintenance ignored above request even though the form gives you an option to schedule ahead. They came into my home while I was at work, let the dog out of the crate and the dog then peed all over the floor. I returned home to find the dog in his crate, urine covering the living room floor, and maintenance leaving a note saying they change temperature to recommended settings (freezer already on max temp). I contacted management about the urine on my floor and maintenance having the nerve to even touch the crate. She accused me of lying and said her guys would never touch a crate. If you enjoy living with wildlife invading your attic and waking you up in the middle of the night by scratching at your walls, then this is the place for you. I've complained about the squirrels that live in the attic and the rental office refuses to do anything about it. I've emailed them multiple times, and even sent a certified letter through the mail and still haven't heard anything. The animal infestation is an issue throughout the whole complex. I even had a 3 foot black snake that showed up on the foyer of my building. The staff in the office are not very professional. Every single person I have talked to in the rental office has a bad attitude. When you begin the process of renting the individuals in the rental office are super nice. Then you move in and they don't want to listen to your concerns. The location in regards to the being close to the freeway is not bad. That's the ONLY reason this apartment is worth one star. I have lived here for almost 2 years. From the day we moved in, the place has been a disaster. I have lived in 2 other complexes near this complex, this place is the worst. The last place I lived, a woman was assaulted entering her building. This place is still worse than that. I have also lived in a nearby luxury complex, this place does not even come close to that. I mention the luxury place because recently Eagles Walk has added signage stating that they have "Newly renovated luxury apartments". Please do not get sucked in by the signs out front. Luxury apartments are safe, have doors and windows that properly seal, apartments that do not have water damage from previous tenants, new carpet and paint upon move in, and have fully upgraded appliances-including full size washers and dryers. Some additional selling points: a) Maintenance does not respond to repair requests, unless multiple calls are made and a complaint on social media-then maybe your issue will be addressed. b) In the past 3 months, police and fire trucks (on separate occasions) have been in my section of the complex more than 5 times, late at night, once because there was an attempted break in and a woman with a baseball bat. c) My enclosed building constantly smells of mildew/mold and when it doesn't smell like that, it smells like freshly smoked pot, d) The office staff, whether you call or drop in, has the same apathetic attitude. The customer service is horrible, they speak to you in a condescending tone and manner. I make it a point to not go to the office or call because I find my needs better met on social media (where strangely enough they at least act like they care). Nicole is the worst of them all, Dana not much better. e) You can hear everyone else in your building through your walls. Including neighbors having intimate relations, personal conversations and tv's that likely aren't turned up very loud. You may be asking yourself, why did I stay for a second year? Well rent here was initially very cheap. It is also close to work and school. Rent was increased across the complex for the ongoing renovations that are being made, even though those renovations do not include my apartment. Here's the thing, this is the short list of my complaints for this place. There's more in regards to safety, cleanliness, billing for water, heating inefficiency. I decided to rent a one bedroom apartment here in December 2014. At the time i expected to live here a long time and so I signed the 18 months lease (Big regret). I ended up moving out of the apartment in December 2015 (1year) and 6 months of that 1 year I never slept or stayed in the apartment. 1. The apartments smell so weird and awful and I cannot place exactly what it is all my candle burning and spray also air purifier did not work. 2. The floors squeak and make a funny loud noise which can be very annoying. 3. Repair work takes forever I went 2 months without my air conditioning being fixed in the summer. It was more than 80 degrees in the apartment 4. The leasing office staff members are very rude and disrespectful. 5. Don't waste your time and energy. Look for another option that is better I wish I didn't pay the 2 months rent to get me out of the lease but I had to. I am only trying to save someone out there time and money. read more

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY! Before signing our lease, the staff was welcoming and enthusiastic. This all changed once we signed on the dotted line. We are victims of the ole 'bait and switch'. We were told the pool and 24-hour access gym was included in our rent, however, you must pay to be a member of the pool, which is only open for 2 and half months, Tuesday-Sunday, 12pm-8pm. The pool was ALWAYS dirty with debris floating around. It is ran by high schoolers, which do nothing but sit and talk to one another. Moreover, the pool is always over crowded by misbehaved children whose parents don't say anything to them. The gym has 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 1 stationary bike and 5 weight-lifting machines (no free weights). The gym is free during office hours, 8am-6pm, otherwise you must pay for a membership for 5 hours (7am-10pm). If you saw the gym, you would know this is not worth it. The staff is very rude, not empathetic and extremely unprofessional. They always make us feel bothersome and unimportant. This is very true of Eagles Walk's maintenance department. We have had multiple problems that were said to be "fixed" by maintenance, but were never repaired. We were once told by a front desk office employee that we had to choose between not being able to lock our front door or keeping it as is, with a big gap between the trim and the door (which outside air was flowing in and out of). This is just a small example of the way our problems are dealt with here at Eagles Walk Apartments. We recently had a meeting with the Senior Property Manager because no one in the office was helpful in the least bit. The meeting has helped some things, but it's too early to tell. There is no convenience living here, it has been more of a hassle than anything! Don't let their low prices get you, you'll regret it! read more

I relocated for my job, knowing nothing about the area. I live in one of the buildings with the glass doors that keep the breeze out. (The downside to that is the musty oder that builds up in the hall.) Upsides have been -other than a few transient neighbors the quietest and safest place Ive ever lived in. But I am from a rough neighborhood in Philadelphia so this is like Mr. Rogers magic neighborhood to me: parking that isnt parallel streetside ,beautiful trees and nicely kept grounds I mean this is damn near Downton Manor. No crazy loud kids running around at night, most people very decent and polite. My ground floor apartment is extremly energy efficient. I look forward to my electric bills. Other positives- maintenance has been relatively quick when I had issues -fixed the heat, patched a leak in less than 24 hours. They do a halfassed job on minor stuff-like closet doors that come off the track, so I started fixing little things myself. No bugs and vermin problems. No mice. I have to buy ant traps every spring , but it takes care of the problem fast. I do hear my neighbor above me because their floor is creaky-but I find it comforting. I like hearing somebody around. Its nice to know Im not alone up at 4:30 or 5 nnaking my coffee. It is so quiet here I sleep like a baby. I feel so safe. All you need is a little street smart s in any urban area. a word of caution -Management is quick to accuse people of being late on rent ant they will post an eviction notice like nowhere I have ever seen. The rental game is what it is and I'm afraid its designed to squeeze the residents out of anything they can while locked into that lease. I dont think that can be avoided anywhere. Oerall my experience has been better than expected for a good value, although one more rent raise when lease renewal comes and Im out of here. So far its been about 5% increase a year. I REALLY wish I had read these reviews before signing an 18 month lease with this complex. I have only been here for one month and everything that I am reading here is true. I submitted my initial walk through paperwork with all the issues that need repair and no one from the leasing office or maintenance has contacted me since the day I signed my lease. The kitchen cabinet doors are already falling off, the hallway closet door refuses to stay on its track, the heating unit blows are heck of a lot of cold air, the balcony door won't lock, the dining room fan and light has been broken since I moved in, called several times and I get no response, there are animals living in the duct work of the washer/dryer unit. when the last tenant moved out someone sprayed a ton of oven cleaner in the oven but did not wipe it out, on Thanksgiving day I turned on the oven and left it to heat up while a took a shower, when I got out the house was full of the most awful smoke, had my eyes burning, coughing, it was the worst, I had to open all the door and Windows, the minute I touch the blind in the kitchen window the whole thing came crashing down, and I had to clean the oven thoroughly before I could start cooking. Now don't get me started on whom ever is supposed to clean up and get the apartment ready for a new tenants, the grout work and painting looks like it was done by a 3 year old, it is messy and ugly. I gave it one star because I had to put something but I am not looking forward to the next 18 months of dealing with these people. I bet you would have a court notice pronto if you didn't pay them their rent though, and I'm sure they will stick it on your mailbox for all your neighbors to see, I'm saying that cause I've already seen it. Please advise this is a terrible place to live. I am single parent and for six months I have to deal with an ongoing issue with my stove and oven not working and to add to it the microwave does not work. The property management company is completely incompetent and has done nothing substantial to fix the issue. I have had to deal with this issue and find alternative ways to feed myself and child not too mention pay expenses out of my pocket to do so. Yet I continue to pay my rent on time and abide by my lease and have not received any compensation for my personal losses. You also have the rodent issue and the roaches. They send out exterminators but you have no idea what they are doing in your aparment while your away. I have had two dead mice in the back of my stove and had no idea the exterminators put traps there until a month later when the smell became unbearable. The ceiling and floors are terrible. You hear everything! Even your neighbors fornicating above you. I sometimes want to cry when i go home because I have six months to this lease and I don't want to live here anymore. Please read the reviews before you decide to rent this place and maybe reconsider.
