All staff have great attitudes The wait period is excellent you can get in and out in a most reasonable time,no frustration attached by anyone. I have had many appointments with several Doctors as well as blood work CT scans as well as other items of appointments. Everyone respects your concerns and privacy. I have no gripes about that. I think it's ridiculous that I waited for thirty minutes to get checked in at the front desk. There were three people waiting in the lobby- one lady was being checked in. It took forever. There is zero sense of urgency. They are as slow as molasses. Terrible! By the grace of God another person was helping register patients otherwise I would probably still be waiting. It made me more than 20 minutes late for my appointment. The registrant was having a sidebar conversation with a coworker and was distracted which added even more unnecessary wait time. The front desk wasn't friendly and security at the entrance was unfriendly too. The new thing is getting a temperature scan and signing in and telling the security desk why you are there.

I'm happy to say that my wife and I will be delivering our first baby here at Abington Hospital! We…read moreare thrilled! We have visited a couple of times for regular baby check ups as well a couple of other occasions for tests and small emergencies. The hospital is very modern and clean. It is well kept and has parking available throughout the campus. The staff has always been very personal and friendly. We haven't felt like we were an inconvenience, but that we were respected patients. We have also heard multiple good reports from other friends who have went to the hospital for various reasons and feel confident that Abington is the place for us. We are thrilled to make it our home hospital even though we live two blocks from Chestnut Hill Hospital. :)

Listen up, Abington Memorial Hospital. I have been a loyal customer throughout the years (chalk it…read moreup to the fact that I am really clumsy AND have regular bouts of bad luck in the health department) and have had nothing but praise for you and your staff. But the last time I was in your ER I left screaming out loud, and that's something I very rarely do. I carry my rage inward, where it bubbles and boils until one day there is no more room for it and I kinda explode all over the nearest person (sorry to my next victim). During this particular incident, however, I directed it right at the people who deserved it. Nurse who was supposed to give me IV fluids (even though you had already taken like a gallon of blood and had a line in my vein) but never did in the four hours I laid in the bed, covered only with a flimsy sheet even though it was about four degrees in there, I'm shouting in your direction. Physician's Assistant who was supposed to phone my doctor at mine AND her request but instead took a personal phone call and never came back, I'm looking at you. And most of all, Doctor who didn't examine me where I needed to be examined, had no idea what was going on and didn't seem interested in finding out and directed me to get my tests done on an outpatient basis rather than in the hospital (which is the whole reason that my doctor sent me there in the first place), I am screaming in your face. You sucked big time. Luckily it wasn't fatal. Thankfully I lived. But you know what, Abington Memorial Hospital? On that fateful day you were made of failure. I just hope that next time I go back (there's always a next time for me, ha ha) you will have gotten your act together. And while I'm ranting, would it kill you to give us some gowns that stayed put in the back? That long walk to the bathroom caused all those other poor, unfortunate folks who were also in the ER that day to get a free show starring my butt. And for that, I deeply apologize.
