In addition to their curriculum they offer daily enrichments such as yoga, gymnastics, art, science, Spanish, and tennis. They are affiliated with Franklin Athletic Club and therefore get some of the perks of using their instructors or facilities for enrichments.

They also picked up on our daughter being a bit advanced and bored in her classroom and moved her up to make sure she was receiving what she needed. We really loved it and we got the feeling they really cared and knew what they were talking about. Lot of places may say they do Montessori, but do they? She is more curious and she loves going to school. She has also less reliant on her teddy than before. I give them 10/10 as we are very satisfied with them. It is a co-operative, so every family is a member of the school and has a vote on how the preschool operates, and well as the opportunity to attend their child's class as a volunteer! The families who look for cooperative preschool want to give their time and efforts to create a close knit school environment. Our children loved their time at Mayfair, and I was really happy with the sweet family-like environment. The parent board made decisions that were in the best interest of both families and school. The way she interacts with the children is thoughtful and respectful. She gives the children a variety of options to explore and create through play and activities. At the time I was 6 months pregnant so having a free on-site nursery for siblings in the Threes and Fours classes was a big plus for me! The first graders have their own trailer with over 6 classrooms, just for 1st graders. I thought this was great for children to develop social skills and building relationships with other students. Crescent Academy offers extracurricular activities to include girl's scouts, boy scouts, music, soccer, etc. In addition to activities, they also offer academic assistance for students that may be falling below their academic level. I gather from staff's involvement with the programs they offer, they really care. As it relates to the staff building relationships with the parents, I do see an effort being made since the last time I wrote my review. My daughter participated in the girls scout program, she was a daisy. She had so much fun and there were so many events, trips and meetings to keep the girls just as engaged. She will definitely be participating next year as a brownie. Overall, I feel confident in the academic program Crescent Academy offers. We are looking forward to next year.
