The service was great when we…read morerented the car, but when we had to return the car and catch a train south, the Enterprise office wasn't open till after the train departed. That is when Alex (our Enterprise rep in Preston) volunteered to come to work early and check in the rental car then drive me to the train station. DO NOT use THRIFTY car rental services franchised by the Scot Group Ltd. We rented the car from…read morePreston for a weekend trip up to Edinburgh and were issued a parking fine, which we ourselves paid off immediately online. However few months later we get letters from Thrifty/Scot Group Ltd, regarding payment of ADMINISTRATION CHARGES for that fine, which turned out to be even more expensive than the fine itself. They've even THREATENED us by saying they would get their lawyers involved. I soon realized that the internet is full of these exact complains, wherein these administration charges have been deducted off customer's cards without their notice and without any formal proceedings. Luckily in my case since my card got misplaced a few weeks later and was replaced they were unable to do so. They are not much far off from a Cash collecting and arm twisting loan shark company, so be warned.
