I ordered the lettuce wraps, dumplings and spring rolls as appetizers and they were amazing . I ordered a stir fry that was sweet and a bit spicy but perfect for my taste buds. I think this was my first time to this East Coast Wings location. It's located in the perfect spot, very accessible. The inside seems clean. It was fairly busy around lunch time. I came in for a bite with a friend and I ordered the lunch special - Cajun Chicken Salad wrap with chips. The chips seemed to be house made and had season salt on them. Pretty good chips with ranch. The wrap was alright. I didn't really get the "Cajun" part of it, no heat at all. I would say this is just a "chicken salad wrap." It had lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese in the wrap with the chicken salad. Not a bad wrap, but it needed something to zing it up. The service was handled by Brooke, and she did a decent job. I wasn't blow away by anything, but I would come back. I think the most interesting part was the paper towel dispenser in the men's bathroom. It sounded like a howling banshee. Someone needs to get a sound crew in there and record it for a horror movie. read more

This place is hands down my favorite wings place. My dad and I always get the lemon pepper wings medium heat (not the dry rub). They are so juicy and flavorful. The wings are cooked to crispy perfection. I haven't tried any of the wings places near where I live because I'm afraid they won't measure up to here. The service is quick and friendly. Our server came around often enough to be helpful without being intrusive. She also made sure that our sodas were always full. The atmosphere is decent. Good luck finding a parking spot! This little place fills up quickly and shares parking with Lowe's, Food Lion, and other small stores. We popped in for lunch right at noon and there was already quite a few people in the restaurant. We ordered the pretzel bites for an app, along with a side of pub chips and ten boneless wings. Of course, it all came out together, which is usually annoying but it gave us lots of different little bites to bounce around between. Pretzel bites were piping hot and the beer cheese was on point. Pub chips, my personal favorite, were crispy and paired well with a little ranch. Boneless wings were just boneless wings, the sauce was good but nothing mind blowing. All in all, it was a good stop for a lunch bite and it wasn't very expensive. Our waitress was super nice but she wasn't around very much- we had a good ten minute wait after being seated before she came to our table. My husband and i have lived in this area for about 5 years now. We only discovered this restaurant late last year. This actually became one of our most favorite places to eat. For me.. the onion rings are what keep me coming back and the wings are for my husband. We go there quite often. The workers are amazing. However today.. i was not very impressed. The soda was flat and had no fizz.. we were told it was fine. When the appetizers came out.. it was burned. The pretzel bites were almost black. Because we are not people who make a big deal and because we hadnt eaten the entire day.. we chose to just eat them. When our food came out.. my husbands food was good to go.. my daughters food was good to go however.. my onion rings were black! The bacon on my hamburg.. pure black from being burned.. my hamburg.. the edges black and burned. I couldnt eat the bacon or the burned onion rings. The one and only thing that i truly go there for.. I was not happy at all. Altho the waitress tried to be polite.. i could tell i was a "bother".. I told her there is no way this food that im paying nearly $50 for should come out of the kitchen like this.. She took my plate to show the manager.. apparently.. he was ok'ing the food coming out of the kitchen.. FOR REAL?? The place had maybe 3 tables being used.. and the cook amd the manager figured itd be ok to serve pure burnt food to someone. This made me even angrier!! Because the manager allowed this!! The waitress came back and took off the price for the sodas.. and the manager only billed me for 1/2 my onion rings price. I told her.. i didnt want money taken off my bill. I was willing to pay my bill with no issue.. my point was that they were wrong in serving burnt food and thinking it was ok when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Again.. i felt as if i was being judged over this... This is one of my most favorite restaurants... and i do expect to go back.. but im hoping the cook and this particular manager understand that they are charging good money for the food they prepare.. if they destroy it.. then start over and do it right.. hopefully this was a fluke thing.. read more

Food, service and atmosphere at this popular chain are all superb and it was packed the Friday night our party of three dined there. The star of the show, its wings, are outstanding and are offered in hundreds of sauce flavors and rubs including apple, which was surprisingly delicious! Also available are flatbreads and huge burgers. I had the barbecue beef flatbread and found it to be the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. Two of us had side salads but at $4.99 found them boring and overpriced. Service was outstanding and easily kept pace with the food. Drinks were topped off faithfully. Sanitary rating was an acceptable 96 and atmosphere was festive and lively. Five large flat screen TVs we're clearly visible from most every table. When it comes to wings, this joint is hard to beat. We had been sightseeing in Mt Airy, NC & hubs decided that he wanted some wings, so we tried this place out. Service was quick, food came out super fast, & everything was delicious. Waitress was right on top of everything, too. We barely finished off our drinks when she brought more to our table. We had Lava Petals to start & ate those so quickly, I failed to get any pics. Hubby had wings & I had a super delicious cheeseburger quesadilla. They have a HUGE selection of wing flavors. You choose your flavor, then tell them what level of heat it needs to be (from virgin to insanity), then they mix up your sauce to order. I have always been a huge fan of East Coast wings. In fact I drove off of the interstate an extra 15 minutes just to be able to come here and eat. I was greeted by a cold staff that ignored me and an extremely dirty restaurant. When I tried to sit down I was told that they closed at 9 o'clock. I explained that I drove out of the way just to come there to eat and would be quick. the manager john Payne quickly shut me down and said I'm sorry we are closed at 9. The entire restaurant was to capacity so they were nowhere near closing down. I have no idea how the food is but it better be some kind of spectacular if anyone is to put up with a rude staff and a rude manager in a dirty restaurant like this. It seems all anyone wanted to do was to shut the doors kick everyone out and go home. attitude like this will develop a reputation and they will cease to exist. read more

Went with family on a Monday evening. The restaurant itself was clean but kind of small with only 4 bar stools at the bar for example. We had to wait to be seated but the staff was friendly and swift when tables were emptied. Our waitress Tabby was pretty attentive and didn't hesitate at any request. Food came in a timely manner, despite the full house, neatly presented. We ordered wings and the spring roll appetizer which were very tasty! The restaurant was clean inside and out. Daily specials are offered, along with a point card with a "cash back" system that allows a dollar amount to be applied to future purchases. I look forward to trying other menu items in the future. I have eaten here multiple times and its a pretty good place to eat over all. The first time I ate here the wings were very greasy and they made my wife and I sick. It wasn't until about 5 years later when we tried it again and their food has gotten much better. Their wings are very good and although they are swimming in tons of wing sauce they are still very crispy. If you go there you gotta get wings and for desert and the cookie skillet. I also had the Chicken and Waffle Neopolitan and I wouldn't recommend it. Although the fried chicken was cooked to perfection the waffles were so dry and nasty. The sauses were good but they couldn't help the dryness of the waffles. So if you want wings and beer this is the place.
