Not as much beer as expected, but probably a wider selection than most places will have near by. Plenty of local stuff - IPAs, sours, stouts. I even found Blueberry Nutrl & I didn't even know they make that flavor so of course I grabbed a 4 pack & a 4 pack of Peach Nutrl. Price was about $10 per 4 cans which is what they go for back in Vegas (where I live) so I wasn't over paying for this. I also found my McGillicuddy's butterscotch nips & the big bottle. Usually these nips go for.99 a piece here they're $1.49 but if you buy 5 or 10 of them they will cost you 99 cents each. So I grabbed two 10 pack sleeves to take back to Vegas with me. I also grabbed some scratch tickets & only had a $2.00 winner....boo. I even asked the grumpy guy (no personality @ all & seemed like it was torture for him to be there) working the register to give me the winning tickets....lol Now Shari who was also behind the counter was a fun hoot. She was happy, laughing, friendly & enjoyed conversating with my bestie & I. I will definitely make sure my besties takes me back here when I'm visiting her & we need a booze run. They showed it available on their web site…read more Called and got someone who could literally barely speak english and tried for several minutes to explain what I was looking for and he could not understand me. Gave my # and hoped an English-speaking manager would call me back, but the same person just called again and continued an already frustrating and pointless conversation. Ugh waste of time and if they did in fact have the bottle (I never found out) they lost a sale of about $300 in total as I would have ordered other bottles as well.

It is…read morelocated inside the newly remodeled Star Market on the Cambridge/ Somerville line, with plenty of parking to be had. You can now pick up your beer to go with your BBQ, your wine to go with your bread and cheese. The selection is poor and they do not seem to restock the shelves very often, so if you are craving a bottle of Barefoot or Yellow Tail, or a 6 pack of PBR, you may be out of luck. There is often a hand made sign on the door saying Back in 5 Minutes. Often. As Scott has noted, the service here is astonishingly poor with one exception, a middle aged man who seems nice and friendly. The rest of the staff rarely engages, and rarely stops doing paperwork, eating, or talking on the phone. So you stand there, waiting....waiting.... Depending on who is working that day, the desk/ checkout area can be a total mess with papers and half-eaten food all over it. There is one woman here who is the biggest issue of all. She is filthy (check the fingernails) and licks her fingers before getting your bag and counting out all of the money that she gives you for change. I'm sorry, but hygiene really counts in my world. I thought this place would be an asset to the neighborhood, but I'm disappointed.
