I have moved around the world with the military and have been involved in every Catholic Church where I was stationed. I worked for many churches in the youth department. I can tell you first hand that the priests at this parish care deeply for every single parishioner! I have seen all 3 of the priests have a major impact on the youth of St. Thomas! As far as the lady with the negative review, it should be taken down as she is, what we call Christers. They attend mass only on Christmas & Easter. Her ignorance is apparent. She more then exaggerated the message from that Priest. If she would have stayed to hear the REST OF THE STORY, she would have heard an impactful and sincere message about our political leaders and their stance on abortion. The leaders of this country are so afraid to speak out against abortion as they want EVERY vote! I don't attend church to be entertained, or to only hear what I deserve to hear. I attend mass because I crave The Eucharist, the teachings of the apostles, & the Word of Our Lord Jesus Christ. St Thomas is warm, welcoming, loving, and so generous to it's community! Once again, I saw first hand the amount of charity our parish delivers to both parishioners & non-parishioners. While I was away in another country, state or town, I missed St Thomas so badly! I came here with nothing but my clothes and car and I have amazing friends who have offered a helping hand, but my pride tends to get in the way and I don't want to be a burden. I was given the information by a former high school classmate to contact St. Elizabeth's for some assistance with shelter and stability. The are partnered with St Vincent De Paul. I left a message at about 1:45 in the afternoon and received a call back by 4:10 the same day. The Case Manger was so kind and caring. They have given me a place for at least a full week where I can focus and concentrate on my job search instead of spending the day wondering where I am going to lay my head. I am so very blessed and fortunate to come from a town and leave for so long and then come back and receive the kind of love be and support one needs at times. I am forever grateful and have already offered to help as a volunteer in any upcoming fundraisers they may be having
