Been a customer for years. I used to buy them at a place in Kittery, but frequently they would be sold out. They told me their source and I started going straight there (old location). The new location is much easier to find, much more social, and includes a small dine-in area (and really, it's been years, so it's not "new"). I *have* struggled with placing orders (I buy in bulk as it's a drive for me) at times, but they have always provided good service in person and always encouraged me to call in my orders. The product: Simply the best bagels in the area. I see one review refers to them as "small". Uh, no. They're huge. Bigger than anything you can get in a grocery store, always soft, consistently delightful. In current times, they were well setup to comply with Corona Virus regulations and service was excellent. Another recent review cited problems with quality and getting that addressed. Never seen it, been buying in bulk here for *years*. Absolutely the best option for bagels on the north shore and surrounding areas. If you think there's a place in the hinterlands whose bagels are as good, they are probably a customer. The bagels are decent, but a little on the small side. I have been in to the new Rte 1 shop a couple of times and both times they haven't had what I wanted. If Roasted Turkey is on the menu, then maybe you might want to have it in stock at lunch time. Stick with Bagel World read more

This place was good, I'm just not in any rush to go back. The bagels were airy and soft, but honestly not that much better than the Dunkin' Donuts down the street. The iced coffee was also just fine, not a lot of ice in the cup. The restaurant was very clean, and service was quick. The egg and cheese could be a little bigger (wider?) so each bite had both egg and cheese. I hate to say it but with bagel world and other more established local shops being so much better than this place and being used to the drives and lines, I don't see the retail location lasting too long. read more

One of the most disgusting bagel shops of all time let me start you off by saying we walk in noones was there we waited about 4 minutes until some lady comes out. So then we place our order and it takes about 10 minutes on each bagel we go to our car none of them are toasted and 2 of the bagels had strains of the ladies hair in it. I would never go back to this place and don't recommend it to anyone going. So disgusting also we showed the lady the hair and she was like I don't see it and there was so much she offered us a free one but just way to disgusting. We discovered East End Bagels earlier this year due to its convenient proximity to our store. Since then, we have been going on almost daily bagel & coffee runs every morning before work - something we look forward to that makes waking up early just a little bit easier. Maria, the owner, is a very friendly lady and really concerned with everyone's happiness. Her husband is the Willy Wonka of bagels, and his bagels are a "10 out of 10". I always get the poppy seed, but there are about a dozen varieties, I think. I used to think another place in Peabody had the absolute best bagels, but then we found Maria and since then we always look forward to our East End experience. As if this were not enough, when I want to really go "yolo", the blueberry muffins are da bomb as well. Sometimes they have little Portuguese tarts and cookies, which are great, too. I've been managing a business dealing with this company for at least a few years now: I consider myself easy-going. I'd like to say, their bagels are great and perfect for the business that I run. And it's a great feeling for a family run business to support other family businesses. This review isn't meant to jeopardize what they do in anyway. That being said I really wish they would do something about their customer service. The woman on the phone is continually and without question rude, despite mine and my employees being as friendly as can be. It really shouldn't be an issue: I order bagels, you deliver them and we pay you. How does attitude and ego even become involved in something as simply as that? As a small business it would be nice to talk to someone who didn't act like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. I won't name names but I never have thought that one rep could make me want to take my business elsewhere, but in having to deal with it at least once a week it really does start to get to you. Luckily if you get the machine you can choose who to leave a message for... I've even had this rep talk to the owner of the business I work at lying and saying that she had spoken specifically with me about an order and check that I had never talked to her about. Whoa. What is the point of that? I'm not saying not to deal with this company as a business, but more in hopes that the owners check yelp reviews and will maybe talk to their employee about her attitude, as my and my bosses mentioning it hasn't done much to change it. Hopefully she is somehow related to the owners because that's really the only reason I could think of for it to continue. read more
