Kudos to Guy Fortunato!
My 81 year old Mother and I arrived at the New Orleans/Kenner airport November 26th to visit friends and family for the holiday. She uses a wheelchair to get around, so I left her at the arriving flights pick up area and took the shuttle to the old airport site to pick up a rental car. While I was gone, a police officer told my Mother she had to move to a different area for curbside pick-up. Well, with two suitcases and two carry-on bags, that was nearly impossible! She was close to tears but was finally able to locate a skycap to help her move.
In the meantime, I was trying to find my way back to the curbside pick-up area. I called my Mother to let her know I was lost. After a few minutes of discussion, a police officer came over to assist her. It was Guy Fortunato and he was very kind. He spoke with me on her phone and gave me turn by turn directions to get back to where my Mother was, staying there until I arrived. What a relief!!
Officer Fortunato was such a gentleman, helping us get settled in the vehicle and seeing us off.
