I have two children; both have attended Community Montessori for a few years now…read more Since it is a smaller school (at least as compared to public school) and because students generally have the same classmates year after year, the children get to know each other and get along very well together. There appears to be a true sense of community in the classroom, and both my kids are happy and comfortable here. Both of them really do enjoy going to this school, and I believe that is due primarily to this community atmosphere. Academically they are also doing well. Montessori education was not a system I was familiar with before my children enrolled, but it seems to be working well; I am very pleased with their progress and even more so with their interest in learning. Really, though, I believe the learning environment is far more important than the teaching method. In my opinion, kids can learn through Montessori, traditional or any other education system so long as they are in a supportive and comfortable environment. Community Montessori provides this well.

Fantastic school! My kids both went there. My youngest is still there and I will be so sad when he…read moreleaves. Middle school has been a nightmare for us. Maybe we were spoiled from stonewall. The office staff is great, the principal is the best elementary principal I've ever seen. He knows every child. And is highly involved in all school functions. Doesn't pass it to an assistant. One of my children had been to several schools prior to stonewall during elementary years due to my husbands job. This was the only school he was ever happy at. Teachers are great and so much parent participation. Small town feel but at a bigger school with all the modern technology the kids need. You could not ask for a better school for your kids to start off at. You won't want them to leave!

The curriculum is challenging with opportunity for advanced placement and partnering with two colleges for education beyond High School. The curriculum is not the narrow Classical Christian Education. Faith and bible teaching does provide a foundation for lifelong learning.

On busy days, it does get fairly congested though so make sure you leave early. The fields themselves are nice with an exception for a few that are pretty lumpy. Overall, this is a nice complex!

I saw the band practicing, small for the school size, Sounded ok. The baseball and softball fields are nice. The huge disappointment is the design of the football field, they spent the money, but the field is farther than any that I I've ever seen, it's just to far for viewing. Terrible field.
