We had the set meal SHATIN FEAST 15.00 per person in a group of about 16, the food came out in good big portions so nothing to complain about if you are looking for volume. The service in general was mediocre with us having to ask for service to order drinks on a few occasions. The location is good no two ways about it but I am not sure if they would be busy if they were not in such a good location.

Jonny and il professore put on a great night (with plenty of good food, to boot). Highly recommended! Update: Jonny has taken over running The Swan in Woolpit, near Bury St Edmunds. A great shame, since The Shiplaunch was becoming a really great bistro pub. Will look into a few of us hiring a sharabang to go to Woolpit for the quiz later in the year. Will be interesting to see if the new proprietor of The Shiplaunch is able to maintain the high levels that Jonny and crew set. Update, June 2008: Met the new owner this week. He is just getting the catering facilities up and running and is also looking into carrying on the activities that Jonny so successfully started (incl. quiz nights and live music).
