I've been going here for about four months now and I love it. This is a real boxing gym. They have…read morebeginner and advanced classes and they have boot camp classes as well. I did a few months at Prime Time Boxing last year, but Boxing Academy is so much better if you are looking to learn technique. Boxing classes vary greatly and you may spend the entire session working on technique and footwork and the next session could be all conditioning and bag work. Coach Abe is great and has a positive and motivating personality. Sometimes the class sizes can be quite large and sometimes it may just be you and the coach. Regardless of the size, I've always gotten personal instruction in every class. They have a lot of equipment on site (like gloves, jump ropes, mitts, etc.), so if you are interested in trying it out, don't worry about investing in gloves right away. You should bring your own hand wraps, though, which run about $10 a pair. They also have open gym sessions, so if you are a member, you can come and work out on your own. They have weights and racks, as well as a ton of heavy bags, double end bags and speed bags. The place can be a bit hard to find, it's on Galilee and the drive way is right where the road starts to turn towards Industrial. Drive past a large iron-wrought gate and the gym is right there on the right as you go through the gate. (The parking lot lights can sometimes be off at night.) I would highly recommend Boxing Academy for anyone looking to learn how to box or just looking for a fun and challenging place to workout! I also recommend following their Facebook page as they tend to keep that the most updated with schedules, events and gym times.

I joined Roseville Boxing Academy as a complete beginner and couldn't be happier that I did. I've already noticed improvements in my strength, stamina, and confidence. The energy in the gym is welcoming, not egotistical, which is rare. If you've been thinking about trying boxing but feel nervous, this is absolutely the place to start.

He's so motivating and didn't make me feel ashamed of things I couldn't do or do for very long (and it was a lot I couldn't do but willing to work on it) I loved the different type of workouts here. The rounds and how this whole program is set up. Very motivating, clean and warming but amped up atmosphere, really gets you in the mood to work out. After my test workout today I ended up signing up for a membership. So I'd say things went very well here and will continue to go and refer others.

But the employees could often be…read moreheard complaining about not getting paid enough while I was working out, and that's not great. COVID hit and we went into quarantine. I took the option to support the business and keep paying per my contract even though after February I never went in there again! In September I called five times and never got a response, finally sent multiple emails asking to be released in October from my contract. John finally emailed me back and apologized, said my contract was completed. Then 9 Rounds charged me AGAIN in November! Guess who is STILL getting emails saying I owe them for December as well?! This is badly managed business. Seriously. What a way to payback supporting a business for a service I haven't used in 10 months. Never again. **Update** They are STILL trying to charge me an extra month! With late fees! Because they didn't handle their paperwork, now I am getting emails saying that this will impact my credit, blah blah. WOW. WORST BUSINESS EVER.
