Both were experiences I remember vividly, due to the scope of the place, but also the warm hearted nature of the people. The Pastor comes to personally shake your hand and make you feel at home. Everyone is generous with their smiles. It has that homey, yet larger-than-life feel to it. Not saying it's for everyone, as it's a church you could easily get lost in, but it's got a lot going for it.

It's with great tact and compassion you preach a sermon after such an event, and thankfully, Windsor did this incredibly well. Not only is the environment welcoming and warm, but the Pastor showed a genuine love for people and compassion during a difficult time. This is really what you want to see wherever you go to Church. Since then, I've met a few people who frequent this place, and it's spoken of so highly, I sometimes wish I lived on the North Shore to attend it.

It towers above you and you could spend the whole service purely looking at it. I was actually singing at the wedding and the church acoustics were such a novelty. It made us sound a whole lot better! It was so amazing seeing the whole bridal party come down the long aisle, really breath taking. At the end of the wedding the rung the bells which made a really traditional wedding even more so. We then had drinks and nibbles in one of the wings of the church. It's the wedding venue every girl dreams of and is such an asset for Auckland City.

It's a real respite from the grind of the city, and I'll never get over the charm of it being situated right next to that other place of worship: Sky City. While the service itself wasn't anything to rave about, I managed to keep myself entertained right through to the end (which must be a record of sorts for me) by checking out the amazing building itself. I visited them last year for a Good Friday service, and was in awe of the stain-glass windows and wooden walls. It was a slightly awkward reception for my friend and I, as many of them seemed to stare at us strangely. It's a largely Indonesian population (with a special service for them at 12 noon), so I guess we must've looked out of place! It was a refreshing service though, and a couple of more out-going girls came along to make us feel less awkward. So all in all, a good experience.

I came into church as a broken n lost soul especially having almost lost my eldest son to suicide. Having survived a suicide attempt, my son was able to celebrate his 21st, get married and continue in his own journey with Jesus Christ as well. God has blessed my family, my father has been baptized into the same church, 3 other children of mine were baptized as I was attending Equippers Bible College 2019 and I just bask in God's goodness and give him all the glory and praise. I pray more loved ones and lost ones be given their blessings upon blessings as they give their hearts to Christ forevermore, in Jesus's precious Holy name, Amen.

Services are usually 10am & 5pm on a Sunday, USUALLY at the Auckland Town Hall but this changes a lot (sometimes at Aotea Centre, and the old location, Mercury Theatre; service times may change) so check the website. Very kid-friendly, took my godson a few times and just had to ask a hosting member to find out where the children should go; drop them off before service and pick them up after.
