Very nervous patient but have been lucky enough to get to use eastside as an emergency dentist twice but also fitted me in for further tretments and each time I've been there have made me feel relaxed and not so nervous both dentist and his dental assistant, highly recommend to any nervous person thier quick with your appointment don't keep you waiting and explain everything as they do it Dr jp was amazing will be returning as a private patient because this is the best dentist ive visited and im 60 . read more

History

Established in 1992.

Eastside Dental Centre is based approximately one mile from Swansea city centre. It was originally established in Ysgol Street, Port Tennant, in 1992, but relocated to its current location in Port Tennant Road in 1997. The Practice is committed to providing patients with the highest standard of treatment and preventative care to all patients and provide flexible treatment options to suit patient needs. We provide NHS and private dentistry from five treatment rooms in the practice. Two of these rooms are on the ground floor and allow for disabled access. We are the official care provider to the Ospreys and Swansea City Football Club. The Practice is due to relocate shortly to the SA1 Waterfront as part of the Primary Health Care Centre. The purpose built facility will enable us to further our disabled services.

Meet the Business Owner: Paul R.

Dr. Ridgewell qualified in 1980 from the University of Leeds with a Distinction in Clinical Dental Practice. He has been a member of the Denture Concilliation and Arbitration Committee, and served on the Local Dental Council. Dr. Ridgewell is the Honourary Dental Officer for the Ospreys Rugby Club, Swansea City Football Club and Welsh Football Association. He also has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and is a member of both the British and American Academies of Cosmetic Dentistry.

After having booked an appointment in advance at 3:40, I arrived 10 minutes early for my…read moreappointment. I waited there for 20 minutes until my father arrived to pick me up, thinking that I had finished my appointment. We waited and waited until the appointment was 25 minutes late. I talked to the receptionist and she explained to me that due to unforeseen circumstances, the dentist was running over but that I was next in the queue. However, 10 minutes later, and I was still waiting. My father decided to talk to the receptionist and told her that we had been waiting for 40 minutes; then, the other receptionist butted in despite my father not talking to her at all, and began trying to get me to side against my own father, saying that I could speak for myself and trying to convince me that my father was trying to cancel my appointment, despite the fact that I could hear what he was saying, and that I 100% agreed with what he was saying. She kept trying to say that I was an adult and that I had to decide what I wanted, despite that not even being relevant to the fact that I was now 45 minutes late for my appointment. Absolutely terrible receptionist service, the old receptionist continued to yell at my father and tell him to sit down, and was absolutely disgustingly rude. Don't recommend this, despite the okay dentist.
