This builder has tried to pass off sub standard construction of a new home. My friend was having a new home built by EastWood Homes, well a little over a month ago, he went to see the last of the construction before the closing. Well what he saw was disgusting, they used MOLDED WOOD, low quality insulation. When he asked them to replace the molded wood beams, they replied we will have it treated by a third party vendor that they provided. They refused to work with him on returning his earnest money, he is a retired NYPD first responder who was affected by 9/11 and does not know for certain that he will not have health issue from that and this company expects him to be ok with a house (brand new) that has mold. He decided that living in a brand new house should not come with health risk. This company should be accountable for passing off poor quality housing to hard working individuals. I am also looking for a new house and I would not allow this builder to build a dog house for my dog. read more
