Easy Bus was, well, easy! And affordable, for that matter. And right on time. And clean. And have I mentioned easy? 'Cause it was really easy. Serving Gatwick, Stansted and Luton, (effectively my worst airport nightmares as far as location goes), I was less than optimistic about EasyBus and my wee-hour journey to a faraway airport. However we were picked up exactly on time before the tube started running on Thursday morning from a clearly marked stop near Baker Street, and then dropped off right outside of our ticketing counter at Stansted Airport in the exact amount of time estimated online. Only good things to report there. Coming home this evening was just as easy and efficient. I must first mention that am as sick as a dog. (Apparently galavanting through Portugal in the cold and miserable rain is not what the doctor ordered for a "relaxing" 4-day weekend. Whoops.) Lucky us, our flight was over 40 minutes early and we breezed through Gatwick Airport, but unlucky me, our bus tickets weren't valid for another two hours. Turns out the fine folks at EasyBus implement an hour grace period on each side of your reservation time, and even if you're waaaaay early or late, they'll squeeze you on the bus if there's an extra seat. My sniffling, coughing, pale face lit up with joy when I actually found some smart customer service in action here in London. Go on, EB! Sure it's double the time, but at a fraction of the price this is definitely a smart (and dare I say, easy) way to get to and from London's most obnoxious airports. read more

Never again. First time was at midnight coming back from Luton - the easyJet flight I was on was delayed. Because it had been delayed more than an hour, the woman at the counter would not accept my bus ticket, insisting that easyBus couldn't be responsible because of course easyBus and easyJet were not the same company... right. Tried to take easyBus from Earl's Court to Gatwick another time in the afternoon. Buses were delayed by over an hour - there was a huge backlog of passengers waiting for a shuttle to the airport. Trip took us 1.5 hours on little country roads, and, guess what, we missed our easyJet flight. read more

We booked a ride on the 23:00 bus from Luton to Liverpool st. There were at least 12 people waiting for the bus at the designated station. The 23:00 bus did not arrived, nor the 23:30 or the 00:00. We had to share an Uber with other angry passengers. They don't have anyone at the desk in the terminal, there is a phone number on the ticket but no one picks up and don't even bother to check their website for emergency contact or any number for enquiry because all there is is a form to fill in. If I could give zero stars I would. I booked a ticket for 13:50 for a 17:00 flight, I was thirty minutes early but there was no space on the minibus. I waited for the next one at 14:10, at which point I was not only denied entry but verbally abused by the employee who would not let me on because my ticket was not for 14:10. When I attempted explanation that I was not let on the other one, she stepped in front of me and turned her back. She refused to give me her name when I asked, slammed the door, and drove off with four empty seats in the van. I waited another fifty minutes for a THIRD bus, ultimately missing my flight and having to reschedule another for the following day. I am a student and really could not afford the 195 pounds for the new ticket in addition to the hotel room for the night. Staff were aggressive, uncooperative, and quite frankly mean. I have never cried from a customer service encounter until today. I do not recommend this service to anyone, ever. I would rather walk. read more

I booked a ticket for 22 September at 4.20am from Waterloo to Stansted airport and the bus never arrived. I was standing on my own in the middle of the night, waited 30 minutes and the bus never came. I do not need to say how important it is to get to the airport on time. How can you sell service that you never provide? This is utterly disgraceful. This caused me so much distress. As the coach never arrived I needed to make alternative arrangements and book Uber taxi. I wrote a formal complaint on 2nd October to which I received a reply that someone will respond to me, however I never heard back from Easy Bus. I wrote subsequent messaged on 28th October, then 16th and 22nd November and no luck. I expect a full refund and payment for my uber ride. Ticket number 393830. read more

Yay! I love easybus. If you book early, you can get your tickets for really cheap (£2) and it's the best way to and from get from the smaller airports (because of course you can take the tube when you fly into Heathrow). The trip takes about an hour (depending on traffic) and there are a few stops in the city to catch the bus/be dropped off. It's so much more economical than taking a taxi. read more

I booked two tickets the day before we were to travel. There was a cycling event in London, and many of the roads were closed. As a result, the bus did not go to the stop for which we were sold tickets. The event was well publicized, Easybus must have known before they sold me the tickets that the bus would not be servicing that stop. There was no warning on the website. In the ticket purchasing procedure, I had to leave an e-mail address and a phone number, but they made no attempt to contact us. When we arrived at the bus stop, there were several other people there apparently waiting for the bus to Gatwick. Our bus was scheduled for 5.00 pm, there was a note on a post at the bus stop telling us that the Gatwick bus would not be calling at that stop until 8 pm that day - too late for us to catch our flight. We had to take the tube to Victoria and catch a train, lugging our suitcases up and down several flights of stairs in the process. Do not take this service. read more

What a Nightmare! Had a trip back home for a funeral with my boy-friend, so it was important for me to make my flight. Shockingly, when we were waiting for our easybus bus to show up, it never did. So we asked the easybus staff. The guy could not speak much English. The only things he rudely mumbled "Full"; ""Ticket no matter" and "Next 4.30", while looking off, very disinterested. After which he very rudely walked off to have cigarettes for the rest of the time, we were trying to come to terms with either missing the flight (and funeral) or desperately finding another way to get to Stansted airport. It was obvious he had no interest in helping us or giving us any information what so ever. We still to this day have no idea why the bus did not show up. Although the next bus would have been only about an hour late, risking to be late for the flight was not an option. We had to find expensive tickets for national-express instead. Thank god, we made it to the airport on time. I feel cheated out of my money and very upset, that a big company such as easybus can sell you two full-priced (12 pounds) tickets with the full cost of 24 pounds and not give you any service at all. To me, this sounds fishy and illegal. Furthermore, we have inquired information of what happened that night, but there were no replies. Clearly, this company is only after your money. I have used easybus before, and they were fine. However, recently I got an email saying that because of London road closures they were moving the bus-stop to another location. We went to this location, and guess what: No bus came. There were also no signs or anything which suggested this actually was the location they moved to. When we decided to call, turns out this business has NO PHONE NUMBER - what business has no phone number??? It's been over a week now, and I also have not received any replies to my emails etc. Fortunately for us this time, we were simply going to the hotel the night before our flight. Unfortunately for the other people left stranded, they probably missed their flights. The thameslink trains to Clapham Junctions/Victoria/London Bridge etc. cost around £10 - much cheaper than the Gatwick Express. I urge you to use these trains rather than depend on easybus - a business which may or may not help you. If you don't want to risk missing your flight, please don't use them. read more

Last year my bus for the airport did not turn up and I forked out over £50 for a taxi. The taxi firm told me this is common, easy bus leave passengers in the lurch - no customer contact number. They just take your money. I am making a complaint for another reason, because the last time I used their service, the bus broke down on the motorway. I believe their vehicles are not being checked and staff not trained to deal with breakdowns. I sent a complaint letter to them (recorded post) and received no reply. I purchased a ticket for 23/02/2014 departing London Stansted to Baker Street. I boarded the 8.20pm bus with vehicle registration number LXI2 BFY and it broke down at 8.38pm. The driver did not seem trained to deal with a situation like this. The rear offside (right) tyre exploded and we found ourselves on the hard shoulder of the M11. The driver made a phone call and five minutes later asked us to depart the bus. It is highly risky to leave passengers in a vehicle like this. We were waiting outside in the cold and were promised that a replacement bus would show in half an hour. The driver did not have access to a spare tyre and even worse, the vehicle did not contain a warning triangle and one reflective (fluorescent) safety jacket. As per the highway code, you must put a warning triangle on the road at least 45 metres (147 feet) behind your broken-down vehicle on the same side of the road, or use other permitted warning devices if you have them. This was not done! I question the frequency of vehicle checks by EasyBus. A tyre blowing out at speed is a scary event and reasons into the explosion should be looked into. It is understandable if the cause was unavoidable, however I do question whether the tyres are routinely checked and replaced. To add salt to the wound, the driver failed to update passengers about the replacement bus. He himself did not know when the bus would actually arrive regardless of making phone calls. The bus finally arrived at 9.48pm (after 1 hour and 10 minutes). When this happened, there was a sense of panic and lack of order. Passengers were not sure about whether they had to move their own bags onto the replacement vehicle. We started doing this and my bag was left at the back of the vehicle with two other bags. If I had not requested your driver to retrieve this, it surely would have been left behind. I am thankful that there were no small children or elderly passengers on this journey. As a healthy and young woman, I found it difficult to stand outside in the cold for such a long period of time. Consequently, I became unwell, had a terrible ongoing journey as missed my connections from Baker Street and had no mobile battery left to contact family. read more

a friend recommended easybus so didn't bother reading reviews. Big mistake... I arrived at Geneva last week at 7pm. The bus was scheduled at 8.30pm and we were told that they were Easybus delays pretty much all day so the chances of another delay was possible but also advised to wait at the bus stop outside in freezing cold until the bus arrives. 8.45pm, no bus. 9.30pm, no bus, 10pm I go back to the information desk inside the airport half frozen but no information is available. The answer: ' it should arrive soon'. 10.30pm Easybus arrives. The problem now is that 2 sets of people are trying to get on and there aren't enough seats. Amongst those people is a lady with a baby and her husband who are told they can't get on the bus as there aren't enough seats. They are advised to wait for the next bus which will arrive at 11.30pm. Total scandal in my opinion. TO EASYBUS MANAGEMENT, if you are reading this, either do something about this abysmal business practice or simply pack it in and stop 'taking people for a ride'. I am not even bothering asking for a refund as I already know the outcome but I will take it to trading standards. This is simply not acceptable. read more

WORST SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE EVER! We booked a bus from Liverpool Street Station to Luton Airport and arrived at the bus stop 15 minutes earlier than the pick-up time. However, the bus did not simply show up and we had to take an alternative way of going to the airport by train. My advice is just simple: DO NOT USE THIS if you don't wanna waste your time and money. Very Bad! I had three experiences with Easy Bus - all of them ended very bad and caused a lot of stress and anger. The buses i was supposed to take were all 40 to 50 minutes late. The service number that is written on their page does not exist! Another interesting thing: the bus drivers said it was bad traffic and that was the reason for the delays. Odly the other buses driving the same route were on time. So it seems that just easy buses get stuck in traffic. My feeling is that Easy Bus deliberatly cancels buses to save money. Meaning that only every third bus actually appears. Their advantage: They do not have to drive the route for only four or five people - no, they wait until every single bis is really full. This probably explains the low prices.... Easy Bus - never again! read more

Do not the book easybus. I wish I was advised such. The service provided borderlines on ripoff. Staff were very rude and the vans they use are small, fitting only 9 to 12 people at a time. Worse still is the inconsistency of the timetable. It is simply haphazard and rarely on time. Some times lucky, some times not. Do not risk your expensive plans this way. Their terms and conditions give them almost no responsibility over their quality of service and little accountability. Also, the drop off point in London is far from Victoria station. Factor in cost of the subway/taxi before booking with this shabby company. read more

Unreliable, buses don't show up, avoid at all costs We have been using easybus until recently, and had very few problems with them. However, in summer 2013, they became very unreliable. In two occasions, buses did not show up for more than 1 hour, and that almost caused us to miss our flights. When a bus finally showed up, there wasn't enough space for everyone who was waiting. It was reasonably good service up until 2012, but now avoid at all costs. We'll be looking for alternatives for our airport transfers. read more

We had booked a seat for our son from Gloucester Place to Stansted last July for 2:40pm. We arrived at 2:10pm, and already there was a large crowd waiting, some of them had not seen their 2pm bus come by. Crowd grew as no bus came at 2:20pm; nothing at 2:40pm, nothing at 3pm. We ended up driving to the Stansted Express station, and put him on board a train to Stansted, so he did not miss his flight. Now, I have been to get reimbursed for the Easybus. I have written TWICE on July 15, then September 15 (handwritten letter, of course, they have no email contact possible). on October 22, I have not yet heard of them. No response. Will never take this service again, as it is not reliable, and will make sure to publicise this information around me. read more

WOULD RATE LOWER THAN 1 STAR IF POSSIBLE. Turned up at Luton EasyBus stop to find people - some of whom had been waiting for 2 (yes 2!) hours in the cold, wind and rain for the bus to arrive. This means at least 4 buses didn't bother to turn up even though people had prebooked and paid for tickets for those times. When we tried to contact easybus no one was there to answer the phone. When one bus finally did turn up, the driver refused to speak to any of us, and ignored those who had been waiting the longest, point blank ignored anyone who spoke to him, didn't even bother to help the older people with their bags and we were left to wait another half hour for the next one without the driver even saying one word. National Express offers a £5 upgrade to any of their coaches if you show them your easybus ticket. Totally worth it. In fact, don't even bother to book with easybus in the first place. Even if it is £2, what's the point if the buses don't actually come. Thank god we'd all already been on our flights. read more

Never use this company. Our flight got in and we went to the bus stop an hour before our booked time. The driver said he was too full to take us and to wait for our booked bus, no problem i understand that. When our booked bus came they had already filled the bus and said he would call another. The "other" bus never came and all following buses refused to take us as we hadn't booked for their time. So now an hour after our booked time our tickets had expired so none of them had to take us anymore. Very rude drivers were no help, we ended up taking the tube to get to our hotel as this company was useless. On the way home half our group decided not to trust them and took a cab rather than try to use our prebooked tickets. They were right, we were there for the bus and they made excuses that they might not take us because they were so busy. Nobody else showed up and reluctantly they let us on the bus. Attempting to give them the benefit of the doubt for the first ride i tried to contact their customer support. Oh by the way they have no email address or phone number to contact them, you have to write them a letter. As i never received a response, not even a "too bad" note, they must just toss all complaints in the garbage and continue ripping people off with terrible service. If you want to be on time, or get there at all, do not use this company. read more

I didn't even ask for a refund, just for a voucher for another occasion. Customer services ignored two emails, didn't even bother to reply. It was relatively convenient and cheaper than a taxi or bus/train combo. As mentioned by Rach K. you can get the tickets for £2 each way if you book early. It is also nice that you can theoretically take the next bus (within an hour of your booked time) if you miss yours or take an earlier one if you show up with too much time to spare. I took the route from Luton to Liverpool Street. For the drive back, the pick-up point is right next to Spitalfields Market so it's a great place to get last-minute souvenirs, eat some food, and empty your bladder before leaving. The only reason I didn't give it the last star is because 1) our driver back to the airport seemed a little confused and arrived almost 10 minutes late. Turns out he thought he was the 2:40pm instead of 2:30pm. No biggie but we were getting a little worried. 2) You must PRINT A PAPER TICKET YOURSELF. You cannot use a reference number or display it on your phone. They actually old school it and tear off the bottom half of the ticket. read more

i was not allowed on my allocated bus from Gatwick to West Brompton/Earls Court. I wrote the following email to Easybus Customer Services (there is NO helpline) and was promised a response within 10 working days, yet never received a reply..... "I travelled from Seville to London Gatwick today on the 25/01/12 with Easyjet. My bus connection to Earls Court was at 15.30. I arrived at approx. 15.05 and waited with other passengers (probably about 16- 20 people). The bus driver pulled up and let a couple of people on the bus, then checked everyone else's tickets. When I told him that I had a seat for this bus (15.30), he said that he was "letting people on, who had waited the longest". Bearing in mind that the Terms and Conditions on your ticket state that "A seat is reserved only for the time you have booked", I was not happy. The fact that other passengers have missed their original bus should have no bearing on this matter. He said that we should wait for the next bus (and he had no idea when it would arrive or how many seats there would be on the bus). This was not an option as one of the other passengers, a Spaniard, told me that he had already waited 2 hours in the 2 degrees freezing temperature. As the buses start their journey's at the North Terminal, I decided to check to see whether it may be easier to board there. Once again, there were 16-20 people waiting. As I had not been allowed on my original bus, I would now be at the back of the queue, behind passengers, who had "waited longer". At this point, I admitted defeat and decided to rely on Southern Rail and London Underground to get me home costing me £15.20 but more importantly, wasting my time. As I live near to West Brompton, I really liked the idea of this service (I have a house in Spain and regularly use the Faro/Seville routes). I can walk to the bus stop and avoid Victoria Station. Your drver looked under pressure, lacked customer service skills and should probably be a candidate for any upcomng anger management courses. Unlike your Airline Crew, your drivers have no name badges and this individual was unwilling to give me his name. To sum up, in my opinion, this kind of service could really damage your brand (I have had a look at some online reviews and they are not positive For the sake of a few quid, it has to be the train, especially if you have to catch a flight as you may be denied boarding going to Gatwick and could miss your flight or pay a fortune for a taxi! read more

They're great - if you don't have a flight to catch. Our 11:20 a.m. service to Luton never showed, neither did the 11:50. Drivers of the Stansted service interestingly showed no surprise when notified that their colleagues hadn't turned up; they just shrugged their shoulders and neglected to inform some supervisor. The driver of the 12:10 finally did arrive, but sternly waited for his departure time, refusing to answer questions by the waiting and increasingly restless crowd, and opted to fill the vacant seats not with the passengers who'd been waiting the longest, but with three people from the back of the line who shared his country of origin. Next up was the 12:20 service, with one particularly sluggish driver who kept arguing with people about bag sizes and about his power to not take them to the airport, taking much delight in seeing them poor souls break into a sweat. Like most cheap airlines today, easybus finds luggage almost as annoying as passengers, and provides just a minimum of space for both in their crammed little buses. We did get our flight in the end by a hair's breadth, but getting there was no fun at all. No next time, guys. read more

Terrible service. Shuttles are late. Drivers are rude and do not care for you. They do not care that you will miss your flight or that you have been waiting for a long period of time. Claustrophobic and stuffy van. Extremely low customer care quality. Good alternative is National Express. read more

this is definitely the worst option to Luton-London Airport. They skip like every second round in their timetable and passengers with earlier booking cannot get into the next round. this means that you can left there with a ticket to a bus that never arrived. booking this service is a waste of money and lots of fustration where you can feel lucky if you don't miss your flight read more

I have travelled by Easybus couple times before and haven't had problems before, as I have always bought the tickets on the spot. But after this incident I will never use Easybus again! Me & my friend had booked tickets for Sunday night, 14.10, 04.00. We arrived at the bus stop 15 minutes beforehand, and the first bus showed up 04.05, but just drove past us. Another bus showed up 04.20, but only let those with 04.15 ticket on. There were three other people with the same ticket as us, and one of them told the driver that our bus had been overbooked and advised him to take the next bus. This driver took the three other customers on the bus, but yelled to us that there were no more room left in this bus and "It's not his problem". We asked him to call the company but he just hurried away, leaving us in the cold. At this point we were desperate and didn't want to wait and see what will happen with the next Easybus, because it would be almost an hour later than the one we had booked, and there were already many people waiting with right time tickets. We decided to take National Express not to miss our flight, and there were enough seats for us. Of course we had to pay £10 extra, which we luckily had left in our pockets. The driver was really warm and friendly AND the bus was on time. Now afterwards, I remember seen other customers of Easybus stressed and confused and telling the driver that they have the right ticket and won't be let on, at the same time when I got buy the ticket to this particular bus. I'm certain that there's a lot of overbooking and cheating going on with Easybus. I'm pretty sure that we'll never get the money back because contacting the company has been made really difficult. According to my experience National Express worked well and the price was the same, so I recommend this company also to everyone else! read more

The bus stop was difficult to find as there was no clear easyBus logo. The bus delayed of more than half an hour and I risked to miss my flight. Ok, there was traffic but a serious company should consider possible delays that may occur and have more buses. It was cheap but if you miss your flight this become quite expensive for you. read more
