So many choices to pick from there's definitely something for everyone here. Live performances and neon lights aesthetic.

Fun is free here, but food and drink don't come at bargain prices. Open on Fridays and weekends it's a great place for a night out; many 100s of people had the same idea when we were there. There's outdoor (mostly covered) seating with several stages used for shows and performances. Many immobile food trucks serve up food from around the world. Peruvian paella was pretty good. Brazilian stroganoff was close to the real thing. The slinky potato on a stick is pretty fun. Lots of options for sweets too.

Claude's crepes. Not nearly as fresh or as good as the New Farm restaurant.

Having been through a couple of times, Eat Street hasn't quite lived up to the hype for me, and that includes their new location. It looks nice, and being on the water doesn't hurt (the new location is a tad better). However, it does take a while to get there, and there is a fee just to enter. Is it worth it? The crowds are pretty hard to deal with, no matter the weather in my experience. Even at the new space, there isn't enough space. It's hard to tell where lines for food are or to work your way through things. And the food itself isn't all that. You can find some decent things, but not better than any of the numerous free street markets in and around Brisbane. There are vegetarian options, but it isn't great by my reckoning. The whole thing seems like a nice place to take a guest for one night out, but not worth the trouble and expense on any kind of regular basis.

Friends brought me down here on one of my first nights in town. Parking was a chore, but the ability to sample (well, pay for, not really sample) virtually any kind of food I could think of was a blast! I went for things that I knew would be impossible to find back home, I failed at getting smaller plates so I could sample a wider variety (perhaps a downfall of being here while starving). A Hungarian Langos pizza-type thing, and a pulled pork crepe were on my to-do list after walking through it all. Please note that in all the hustle and bustle, I wasn't able to capture the individual vendors for these dishes. I've done some searching and it looks like these vendors may not have a restaurant or other location. The Hungarian Langos was pretty good, but came up short in a couple areas. The bread "crust" was delicious, buttery, hot and soft, but the toppings on it were served cold. I think this entire situation would have been much better had everything been hot. However, for the price it was an insane amount of food, and I could barely finish it. I then went on to the crepe stand and picked up a bbq pulled pork affair. While it was good, the meat was fantastically moist, I was expecting the bbq sauce and meat to be quite a bit more spicy/tangy. This was just like eating plain pulled pork with a bit of cheese on it. I wrapped the evening up with a cold Heineken while my friends found some desserts. We talked a bit about our experiences and I realized that Australian tastes must skew towards more bland foods, so I'll know that for the rest of my stay here.

The concept of this is great - night markets by the river in old shipping containers with different food choices and craft beer and cocktails available for purchase. The downside - I went opening night (not my smartest move) and it was beyond crowded. Line ups for food and beverage were at least 20 minutes long and because it was so crowded, it made it difficult to actually 'see' anything. I tried to look at a lot of the containers and could not even see in, let alone get in! Due to the crowds, there was also no seating anywhere! I will wait until the hype dies down a bit before I go back and experience it properly.

Howzat Burger. I've heard good things about the burgers. Time to give it a try.

I've been here a few times now and it can be an overwhelming experience choosing from the assortment of delicious looking food. Parking can be an issue during Fridays and Saturdays. People always seem to fight over street parking but I've always managed to find a spot in the main parking lot. So here's a hot tip, even if it looks super busy, go to the main car park first. You'll probably find a space since people automatically assume it is full. Otherwise come on Thursday. Lots of lovely shops and food. It's normal for me to spend close to $40 which is pricey for street food but I've always enjoyed the flavour here. Plus the atmosphere is great with at least 2 or 3 bands playing.

I really liked this! Here's why: 1. Lots of choices - every time we thought we scoped out the whole thing, we realized there was another section we hadn't seen yet. 2. Food is good. 3. Concepts are unique and well done. It is not a bunch of temporary tents - they have interesting names, good signage, and the food looks appealing. 4. Festive! Several stages with music and entertainment, lots of opportunity for people watching, pretty lights. 5. Wide variety of cuisine - surprised to see some of my uncommon favorites including Ookinomiyaki, battered barramundi, and unique dessert options. The main drawback is that you want to eat everything and you can't. It would be good if everyone offered smaller portions at a cheaper price so that you can eat at more places. It feels sad that you can only eat one or two things before being full at a place like this. Had a great time though and wish we had something like this in LA!

What a great little market! This is a foodie's heaven, not a market for arts and crafts (although there is a small section for it). Come hungry, leave happy. There's tons of different styles of foods so everyone can find something they want to eat. Don't forget the dessert! There's tons of stands just focusing on dessert, which makes people of all ages happy! I don't have a car, so I can't tell you about parking, but the market is a ten minute walk from the bus stop. It can get crowded, so if you find a spot to sit, claim it and don't let it go. There's a two dollar entrance fee so make sure you have that in cash on you, but if you have no more cash, there's an ATM right in the entrance. I had honey chicken from one stand and that was great! At first I thought the portion would be too small, but it was the perfect size, quite filling! I had a tiramisu cannoli from little Italy and that was yummy! I also had a marshmallow funnel cake from world famous funnel cakes and that was delicious! It was quite large for the price which was great.

A highlight for my time in Brisbane! Firstly, I really enjoyed the variety of foods available at the Et Street Markets - there is even a Japanese Pizza place so believe me all bases have been covered! Secondly, the ambiance where each section of the market had it's own music or performers and the noise level and placement of each one was enough to hear and still hold a conversation without all of them drowning into a noisy mess. Lastly, the atmosphere even on a Saturday night on the last weekend of the school holidays was magical. The place was packed out and crowded but there were still lots of seats available if you were willing to go without an alcoholic beverage and sit in the alcohol free zone. I went for a Pad Thai for my dinner and it was delicious, filling and a good level of grease so I was pleased. My friends had the greek, indian and gluten free doughnuts and all were well liked. Actually the doughnut shop right near the entrance was described by my gluten free friend as being heaven on earth for how they had successfully managed to create a gluten free doughnut (something I now understand is very hard to do successfully without gluten) and the caramel sauce they offer along with it is not to be missed either. If you are a local or a visitor to Brisbane this place is a must! And make sure you bring plenty of cash, as the ATM lines on site are very long. Note entry was $2.50 when I went in early July.

I really liked the Eat Street Market. There are heaps of food stalls to choose from, sporting delicious grub from all over the globe. There are a few bars, little boutique shops and more! Eat Street has a really good vibe. It is set up for sunny Qld weather being largely outdoors. However it was bucketing rain when we visited and we still really enjoyed ourselves. There are a few undercover areas to relax in so don't let a bit of rain put you off! Oh and try New Farm Confectionary's delicious honeycomb or salted caramel sauce. It's goood!

There's always people around, but not like going into a supermarket at 5pm when everyone is at the checkouts. The selling point of this Woolworth's is as Tenniele said in her review, is the trading hours. My only problem is actually remembering they're open. I mean, how often have I decided after 6 that I want something from Woolies on the weekend? Often (on account of my love for snacks). And you know what? They're open until 7pm. But that's just weekends. Weekdays they're until 10pm. TEN PEE EM! That's fantastic. Also the staff aren't intrusive, and it's a good sized Woolies so it has everything you need. Zoom out to 'Skygate', 'DFO', whatever you wanna call it, and Woolies is there for you. 24 hours! I'll admit, it's a bit out of the way, but it's not really that far.
