I love eats but this time just a little disappointed and I understand the Covid take out but since you can't exchange or return anything my potatoes were burnt and they were smelling burnt so I just couldn't eat them and that's my favorite part so I was totally bummed out. But everything else I ordered was great just being honest I ordered the Mexican scramble the bacon size I had to and that's only two pieces of bacon just FYI I assumed it was three my mistake. I went with a group, and we tried practically everything on the menu - ALL of it was absolutely delicious. French toast is fantastic paired with a seasonal fruit compote. Ok this spot has some amazing brunch options, they get creative on their menu for sure. However, a lot of their options are subpar in comparison to the numerous other brunch spots in the city. Yes, the chicken waffles are amazing and that is why my review is a 4 star, and not 3. I have also gotten the Mexican salad, portabella benedict, and housemade waffles with berries. All of these things are okay, however, the portabella benedict is creative and I always like a benedict. My conclusion on this place is to go for the most unhealthy item you can find, and it's gonna be life-changing, but eats doesn't know how to execute on the healthier items. Usually the lines are really long on the weekend so I'm glad to see seats available on a sunny Friday afternoon. I was gona get the waffle, bacon, and eggs but made a last minute switch and got a sandwich. Breakfast sandwich with bacon and fries - The bacon was nice and crispy. The runny egg made it really messy to eat but then again, I'm naturally a messy eater so it could've just been me. The fries were fried twice making it crispy just like how i like it. Ben (server) was fun to joke around with. He actually recommended double frying the fries to make it crispy; he knows me so well! *swoon* Friendly service. Good fries. read more

Brunch spots get competitive in SF and I can't see how it wouldn't be for Eats! I ordered one blueberry pancake and eggs Benedict. I really enjoyed this version of eggs Benedict because they had tomatoes on it, which takes away the heaviness of this dish because of the eggs and hollandaise sauce. Also, their sauce tastes very different from that of other places: it has strong hints of miso, which is interesting. I'm so glad the ham was not salty. The Benedict came with a generous portion of mixed greens and cherry tomatoes, lightly marinated with balsamic vinegar. I strongly recommend the blueberry pancakes!! The berry pieces were fresh and juicy. The pancake was cooked just to the right fluffiness!! For a weekend brunch, I was fifth in line for a party of two, but we were seated within five minutes (could have just been luck). The restaurant is an open kitchen format, but you did not feel the greasiness! Eats made excellent use of their limited space, stocking a corner with a large inventory of prosecco. I was not much of a fan about the food I ordered. The hostess was very nice and their ordering system is different in a good way. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was just not good quality. Although the presentation was ok; the upset began when I began eating. The panko breading was coming off the flattened chicken like paper. The waffles didnt taste like much and the egg tasted weird. The meal was just not to my liking and my wife was not a fan of her meal either (nor mine and vice versa). As I looked around, the staff were constantly on their phones except for the people in the kitchen, i did not notice them on their phones. A Visitor's Perspective: Perhaps because this was the first meal of the day and the first meal ever in SF for this visitor, anything edible would have tasted great at that moment. Upon entering what looked like a college-town type diner, I was ready to inhale the menu. Luckily for me, the food did not disappoint. The buttermilk pancake was soft and fluffy without any hints of the aftertaste of batter that typically plagues poorly made pancakes made from mixes. The Ham and Tomato Benedict was a fun choice, but any eggs benedict made without lox can no longer be appreciated by this egg lover! The Bacon and Fried Egg sandwich was excellent. With the golden egg yolk oozing onto the plate after the first bite, this hot mess of a sandwich with the flavorful bacon and crispy bread certainly hit the spot. The bacon/fried egg sandwich was a fantastic recommendation by the waiter to make up for the unavailability of the ricotta pancakes. They were no longer part of the menu after Eats changed owners. The service was excellent as our waiter was warm and friendly, but sitting at the counter that oversees the open kitchen wasn't necessarily a great spot. The cooks almost seemed nervous when they spot us gawking at them as they made our food. I wonder why that is... Though I eventually found out that a few visitors had encountered roach problems at Eats during their visits, it really did not taint the recollection of my overall experience at Eats. With seating located right along the Sunday morning farmers market, this is a perfect place to stop by for breakfast, brunch, or lunch while you browse the fresh goods. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich which was incredibly delicious and filling. It seems like a simple sandwich, with a fried chicken patty, guacamole, tomato, and pickles but the aioli spread drizzled on top pulls everything together and elevates the sandwich to another level. I simply devoured the thing when it got to the table, definitely will be coming back to try more on the menu! read more

I've given Eats a try multiple times but it is honestly underwhelming and the food is overpriced for what you get. there is usually a line so be prepared to wait if you go on the weekend or during peak brunch time. the sandwiches are small and have very little filling for the price. the egg dishes are nothing special either. the food is average and not worth the price or the wait. the space is clean and it's not a bad spot, it is just disappointing overall. read more

I would definitely recommend anyone going to Eats to start their day or for brunch! It's a small, neighborhood-y eatery that serves up quality, well-seasoned and balanced dishes! The Yelp waiting list is super clutch to ensure that you get seated in a timely manner. If you do need to wait a bit Clement Street is almost a hidden gem in SF and I would suggest you take a stroll around while you wait! My boyfriend and I ordered a blueberry pancake to share and this was my personal favorite of the whole meal -- I have an affinity for blueberry pancakes and it's quite hard to find some good ones in SF surprisingly! I ordered the hash and my boyfriend ordered the huevos ranchero -- we both thoroughly enjoyed both of your dishes! All in all, a great experience with great food to match! read more

My boyfriends friends recommended this place as one if their favorite brunch spots. And we were definitely not disappointed, the only bad part is the fact that it's a small spot. Waffles with berries: 4/5: thick, crispy, sweet and tasty. It was absolutely delicious and best when eaten hot. I loved that it was thick and it had whipped cream and berries on top. It was delicious and a must get if you like waffles. The half order is one waffle, it's decent sized but felt small for $5. spinach and mushroom Benedict: 4/5: absolutely delicious! I loved the combination of both, it was really tasty. But the disappointing part was the egg, it was slightly overdone so it did not ooze when you pierced it, it was solid. Almost perfect but a slight miss. Hopefully it's better the next time I try it. Overall, a decent brunch place in the Richmond district. I'm updating because we've stopped eating here. Ordering is now done by going to a window outside before sitting. People will sit down before ordering, effectively making paying customers stand and fight for the first available table. Staff regularly gets the orders wrong and we've had to ask for food we ordered multiple times. Some plates come out ten minutes after the first plate arrives. There are no coffee refills given and staff seem annoyed when I ask for them. I'm sure it's much more profitable for the owners, but the service for the price isn't worth it. I let it go for the first two years of the pandemic thinking it was a temporary measure, but that doesn't seem to be the case. read more

I like the fact that they checked vaccination card if you want to eat inside the restaurant. You ordered and pay first before you can go inside the restaurant. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Food are good. Love their French fried because they come out straight from the fryer and it was steaming hot. So me and a friend came here today for brunch. There's plenty of people and there's a wait list, so I'd recommend you to put your name on the list before you go out, so you won't have to wait for so long. We've waited for about 35-45 minutes. We got a table outside. We both ordered coffee, I also ordered a small detox juice (tasty). I had the spinach mushrooms Benedict with potatoes, it was super yummy. I really liked the potatoes, they were surprisingly good since I've never really liked the potatoes somewhere else. My friend had the farmers scramble with salad and we shared a banana chocolate chip pancake. I didn't try the scramble, but the pancake was delicious. After all that, we still managed to eat waffles with berries, banana & whipped cream. It was delicious. As for me, I'm not eating anything else today lol The food arrived in around 10 minutes, which surprises me, since it was really full. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Came here on a Saturday morning around 10:30. We joined the waitlist on Yelp. The wait time for a party size of 3 was about a 15-30 min wait. Not too bad. Thanks to the Yelp waitlist we were seated right away when we arrived. The service was very efficient. Our food came out momentarily after we ordered. Great place for breakfast. Knowing the wait during the weekends, I was hoping there wouldn't be during the weekday. There wasn't, but it was crowded. I ordered the Breakfast Suite that comes with 2 eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage, and a waffle. It's quite filling even though it doesn't look much. The waffle was crunchy although the syrup was a bit bland even though I kept pouring it on. I'm hoping to come back again to try other items. read more

Good food and coffee, but ordering system is downright cumbersome. You have to order outside, then you're allowed to choose a table. Ridiculous system, how are you going to let people stand for 20+ minutes and not allow their party to sit in an empty table? I'm in freaking line to order food, you think I'm gonna sit at the table and leave? Plus, they were very terse with my brother when he sat at a table and rudely shooed him off. Next, they allowed a huge party to order their food one by one and PAY SEPARATELY during peak breakfast hours. Seriously, can't you nicely ask them to order all at once? There was a 10 person line behind this group! People left the line after waiting at least 15 mins, zero acknowledgement from the staff. They should have two people taking orders, one person at the window and one person taking orders outside. The person taking orders outside can take payments to a different register or a use a mobile device. I don't know, I'm not the owner, but if I was, I'd show a little bit more concern for the customers literally walking away from my doorstep. read more

We love Eats! A lot of variety, fresh, yummy food! We have been here 4 times now and it hasn't disappointed us. Eats uses the "waitlist" feature on Yelp which is amazing bc it allows us to wait at home until it's time to be sat. Last visit they were out of fresh juices but we did come towards the end of their morning hours so I guess that's to be expected. So far this is one of my favorite places to eat at scrambles and waffles at. Their berry waffle is super delicious, their whipped cream looks homemade, and very fruit on it was ripe and tasty. The rosemary potatoes were cooked perfectly with rosemary and scallions used to garnish. I had the farmers scramble which I highly recommend, it had a roasted garlic which spread on the sourdough bread elevated the taste. Great food and very accommodating for littles. Most restaurants in sf aren't baby friendly but they got us seated, food, and out of there in a timely manner. It's a small restaurant but lovely staff and options for everybody. When we ordered, our waiter could tell that we were dairy-free when I ordered no cheese on my scramble. He asked if we wanted no milk in the eggs which is amazing because how else would we had known there was milk in the eggs...some places would never to think to bring that up so much appreciated since my 1 year old is dairy sensitive. He also asked if butter on the potatoes is ok, which my son could actually tolerate, so again big points for knowledge of allergies and diet restrictions. The last time we were here was pre-child and hubby and I enjoyed it a lot so we came back for breakfast with the baby since we live in the neighborhood now. It's a popular spot so expect a wait, especially on weekends. read more

I got chicken and waffles $15 and wife got some pancakes for $11 and she got a mimosa which was 8 more dollars every meal we got in San Francisco is like 50 bucks so you know it is what it is we live in Louisville and stuff just doesn't cost as much like it does but the meal itself was phenomenal I won't ever be back to San Francisco but if I ever was I would definitely go here 5 out of 5 Stars excellent breakfast read more

Love the option to reserve seating at Eats via Yelp. So, so helpful. I put my name on the waitlist on a recent Saturday and my table was ready as soon as I arrived! Eats is a fairly small brunch spot in the Richmond. The service is quick, the staff are friendly and the food is tasty. My first time, I tried the waffle, egg, sausage combo plate and it was great. That being said, the serving sizes are small and the menu is pricey. I get that San Francisco is expensive but an Arnold Palmer should never be $4 without refills. I would probably return to Eats (and use Yelp Reservations) but I would be wary of the menu prices. read more

Food is divine, nothing too snobby, decent prices and if you join the waitlist ahead of time and arrive when estimated it's a really enjoyable experience! First time trying this place, and I'm coming back forsure! If you want "dine in" you would have to order first then get the seating and for a Sunday brunch the wait is a bit much. But a to-go order changes nothing about the food (after ordering it was a 10-15 min wait for the food and it's worth it!) . My girl & I went to this place on a Wed morning around 10am. Afraid this place would have a line, I called 1st and the friendly lady on the phone said, don't worry, just come in, we have room. As a waffles fan, and hearing so much about their waffles I had to order some. My girl ordered the "Chicken & waffles" and it was off the charts. I never knew that this combination of food could be this finger licking good. The waffles were fluffy and crisp, and the chicken was tender and whatever batter they used was perfect. I ordered the "Waffles & berries" and the whip cream melted on the bananas, berries, and strawberries in a way that could not be described. And the Power C drink is not too bad either. We came in a party of three at 11:30am on. Friday. There was no wait but we occupied the last table before the wait began after us. I had the smoked salmon scrambled without the capers. It was pretty good at first, but after awhile it didn't seem like they complemented each other well. The potatoes were delicious though! Yum, ketchup. This place is quirky and I am sure it has various delicious plates, but I just don't taste the awesomeness. Loved the pancakes. Loved Loved Loved. Divorced egg was mixed - great eggs and red sauce. Potatoes and garlic were good. The added pulled pork was dry and not that flavorful. Fried chicken and waffles were ok. Chicken was breast meat which I loved but some people could want dark meat. Waffles were a little dry. Fresh squeezed orange juice was so yummy. Fresh. Sweet. Perfect. Pretty small and packed inside. They have high chairs but it was quite a tight squeeze. They don't quite have their watlist figured out. They had some on a chalk board and some on the Yelp waitlist ipad. It wasn't clear what order they were going in and it wasn't how many people were ahead of you. I hope they figure it out because it was a great brunch spot but super crowded. If they go with the Yelp waitlist ipad then definitely log on to yelp and add your name to the waitlist ahead of time!
