Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this florist. I had known Alexis and Link (he passed over 10 yrs ago) for many years so wanted to give them the business. This year I ordered online two weeks earlier, a Valentines arrg. for my Mom in a local Assisted Living to be delivered the day BEFORE Valentines so as to avoid the usual rush. The arrangement was actually delivered on Valentines night about 6:30 pm. My Mom called me to tell me several days later the roses never opened. I have tried to call the business many times just to hear the mailbox is full. I even went by the business on Saturday to see the hours on the door, but NO ONE was there, and if you look in the window the place looks disheveled and empty. I was tempted to dispute the order with my credit card company, but figured she really needs the money. I will never use this florist again, but I doubt they will still be in business. *SCAMMERS!!* WOW. I am truly at a loss for words of the unprofessionalism of Eau Galie Florist. I had ordered flowers here for a 5/11 delivery for Mother's Day for my 85 year old aunt who recently beat cancer. I ordered online and I accidentally put the delivery address as my billing address (which I live in Las Vegas by the way.) I immediately called and spoke with a woman who processed the updated delivery address which was also in Melbourne. I had to repeat the address three different times because she said she kept having system issues but she finally input it and I thought all was well. On 5/11 late night after realizing the flowers never came, I sent an email (which nobody ever wrote me back.) I also called to leave a voicemail but the mailbox was full. I called today on 5/13 and the nastiest woman answered the phone and recited the wrong street address. She kept blaming it on me saying thats what I typed in, when in all actuality it was whoever took my call from the store last week that put it in wrong since I never typed the address. I asked for proof of delivery and she said she didn't have it and just kept raising her voice and saying it was my fault. As a small business owner myself, I'm so shocked at this behavior and a simple mistake on their end could have been rectified but the blaming and yelling at me - and claiming to have delivered flowers with no proof, no email confirmation of delivery, nothing, proves just how awful this company is. I'm so happy I chose Eau Gallie Florist. My father recently moved to Florida, and I wanted to send him a plant for his 75th birthday. Orchids have special meaning to us, so I ordered a lovely orchid for him. On his birthday, Eau Gallie called me to tell me they didn't have ANY orchids available, and couldn't find any. I told them how disappointed I was, since I didn't select orchids randomly, but due to their symbolism in our family. So I wanted to send flowers to my family member in Melbourne for her birthday. I did some research on local places. Too bad I didn't keep looking! I ordered on 2/2/22 for delivery on 2/7/22. I received an invoice for the flowers on 2/7/22 at 1:08AM, which I thought was strange. Never the less I called my family member at noon on her birthday, no mention of the flowers. So I called the store at 12:46PM. No answer and could not leave a message. I called back at 12:47PM, same thing. So I sent them an email, no answer. I then reached out to my relative later in the day and called the store again at 4:47 PM. No answer and I could not leave a message. So I emailed them to inquire about the delivery. At nearly 5:00PM the flowers finally were delivered. The cost of the "sapphire skies bouquet" was $66.84 including delivery and tax. The bouquet that was supposed to be delivered is documented here. I was looking for a nice live plant for a friends 70th birthday. I was told that this live orchid plant was their "signature" plant and from what I was described it sounded very nice. I asked for a picture and was told that "no, we can't do that" which I thought was weird. Once received, my friend sent me a picture and now I know why they wouldn't send me a picture. $65 plus delivery for a single orchid stalk on an oversized trellis. So often when you order flowers to be sent out of your town you are never sure what you are going to get. I was so impressed with Laurie at the Eau Gallie Florist Shop, She spent time with me when deciding what floral bouquet to send for a funeral. We went through the book as I was sending the bouquet to the family's home rather than the funeral and wanted a nice, elegant table bouquet. I decided on the Sapphire Skies bouquet and when the bouquet was delivered on time my sister-in-law called me right away to tell me how beautiful the bouquet was and to thank me. The following day I went to the funeral and to my sister-in-laws house afterwards and saw the bouquet, and it was exquisite. Exactly what I wanted. My wife and I live up in Washington state, but my parents live down in Melbourne. My mother's birthday is today and my wife put in a delivery earlier this week for it to be delivered to my mother's house today. We found out that my mother will be in Orlando for the day to celebrate her birthday. As soon as we found out, my wife called Eau Gallie Florist to inform them if they could just leave the flowers at the door. Lori was the representative that my wife spoke to. My wife was put on hold for about five minutes before she was able to inform the representative on why she was calling. When my wife asked if they could deliver it to the door, Lori says, "Well you should have called sooner." I was in the Army for eight years providing customer service to military personnel and civilians stateside and overseas and not one time have I ever been rude to a customer. She was just plain rude to my wife. Instead of saying what she said, she could have been more accommodating to my wife and actually HELP my wife who is a customer. It doesn't matter if she is the only one working and has a line out the door, there is no excuse to be rude to a customer...period. I called them back to file a complaint because my wife couldn't talk to her again. Lori was the one to pick up the phone and I said that I wanted to file a complaint. She said she was the only one working and that she was the supervisor. I asked if I could have contact information to talk to the owner. She said that she couldn't give out information, which is understandable. However, she says to hold on and one minute later, I am talking to the owner's son (Alexis' son) who apparently is at work. Im asking myself, I thought she was the only one working? Anyways, the owner's son (forgot name) helped me out with having it delivered at the door. I asked him why couldn't Lori give the same type of service that you just gave me, but to my wife? He continued to apologize and said that she must have been very busy. There is no excuse of how busy an employee is...you never come off or be rude to a customer...ever. We just got a phone call from the delivery person and said that she delivered it to the door and was very nice to my wife who answered the phone. When a family friend passed away I wanted to sent his widow some flowers and I wanted to support a local business. I requested that the flowers be delivered on Friday, as her mother would be there all day to receive them. I never received a call that there was a problem with the delivery. The next day I was informed they had not shown up. So at 2:30 pm on Saturday I called Eau Gallie florist and a polite young lady answered the phone, I told her the situation and she said they were undeliverable because they "couldn't leave them there"- which was confusing. I had her put a note there to deliver them to another condo in the same complex (a family member). Two hours later they showed up at the original address a day late. When the recipient sent me picture of the flowers I was extremely disappointed. The flowers looked messy in the vase, and the gladiolus were missing. The gladiolus were the whole reason for this more expensive bouquet. We paid $154 and change- $8 of which was a delivery fee, that was about 5 miles away from the shop. I'll attach pictures of the bouquet, and of the example from the website. That evening I sent an email to the shop, and I have yet to receive a response. I asked how they could make it right, and why the Gladiolus are missing. No response as of yet (Tuesday). You can make the judgment for yourself if this was worth $146+ delivery a day late I've probably unfortunately learned my lesson, next time I'll go to Publix, or order from Costco for a third of the price, and have better customer service and get what i ordered. I honestly believe not being up font with me someone was cutting corners and didn't think I would know, since my billing address is out of state. Review: very disappointed. We placed an order for several funeral flowers for my mother's service in mid December.  The first piece was very nice, but the other 2 did not work out at well.  First, the table arrangement was ordered to have enough room to surround a 9 inch box containing my mother's remains. We were very clear on the order. They delivered to us a total 9 inch circular surround arrangement that could not in any way have held a case in the 4 inch center middle.  Major FAILURE.. The second huge issue was that we ordered 5 white roses opened up and delivered BEFORE 1PM with rest of order to float in square glasses representing the 5 grandkids. Weeks before,  I went online and bought 5 glasses, had them shipped & set them up with water on a table in the beautiful entry way of the facility. We arrived an hour before the event to setup and these grandchildren roses were not there. The Funeral director called the florist and was told "they didn't go out with the order? Oh, so sorry, we will be right over.". As time went on and on, we waited, watching the door and keep worrying. We continued calling them asking where the roses were.  Over the next hour, over 3 or 4 times we asked the funeral director to help and finally the grandson of the deceased walked over to the florist at 2:10,  (family receiving friends started at 2).  The funeral home is only 1/4 mile from the florist, this was not a LONG delivery at all.   The 21 year old grandson said "everybody was sitting around and staff was eating lunch, completely oblivious to fact service had started" .  Then a lady from the back came up and gave him the flowers, he returned with roses and we opened them ourselves, cut them and out them in the glasses with water, we finally got it arranged 40 minutes after receiving of friends started. This was completely unacceptable service. The only request of the surviving grandparent was 5 simple white roses & you guys screwed it up big time!!  I don't even want a refund, I just want a flower shop that understands how important their job is to their customers.. All you have to do is walk in and see the shop to know that beautiful creativity takes place within the walls of this place. I guess I'm biased because one of my closest friends works there as a floral designer. I do have the pleasure of knowing the owners and the some of the staff as well. They are great, creative people who clearly LOVE and take pride in what they do. The shop sells beautiful pieces and has a quaint, fairy tale like garden on the property. But the inside of the shop itself is gorgeous- always decorated in perfection. My favorite time to see the shop is during the holidays.
