I contacted Eric when it was discovered we had a leak in a pipe that was most likely to be under cement. He was able to come out and test for where the leak was in a couple days. A couple hour test and he nailed down where the leak was. Once I decided to hire him to fix the leak, he made it out quickly. His estimate of where the leak was was dead on. He jack hammered up the sidewalk and fixed the leak in a couple hours. He came and got me at each stage to show me the conditions and the repairs. Each phase he went over and beyond just fixing the leak. He put in extra pipe to form a bridge that would allow the pipe to move without breaking again and then surrounded that with sand to further add mobility. Once he was done he was able to repair the exposed aggregate he hammered up and it looks great! He guarantees his work for a year and will come out if there is evidence of a leak within the next thirty days. I contacted Eric at EB. He returned my call promptly and his pre-appt communication was great. Pre-work he explained the process and possible scenarios. Once he started, he was able to pinpoint source of leak quickly and even cut the cost because it was so quick. For the record, the leak was probably within 1 foot of where I was already digging but since the water went directly into a drain, I could not find it. Eric's equipment was able to pinpoint it accurately. Previously I also had the water district come out. They had some basic leak detection equipment and also could not find it. He provided an estimate to get it fixed. Since area was accessible, I chose to fix it myself. But felt estimate was fair considering the scope of work. We recently bought a home with a pool that had a very obvious leak in it, losing about 1/2" inch of water or more per day. Our chems were super off balance because of it, so it was important to determine where the leak was and fix it. I had nightmares about the type of leak that might be found. From my first conversation with Erik, I could tell he was very knowledgeable. We decided to hire him vs. a bigger leak detection co. and I'm so glad we did. He found the leak, temporarily patched it and came back to dive and complete a more permanent fix. He also completed two drain cover and several jet cover replacements that needed to be done while he was already diving. We used EB recently to locate a leak in our pool. They were very professional. The process went exactly as described in our first conversation over the phone, including accurate estimates. They found our leak in the joint between the pool and skimmer, described what was going on and provided an estimate to repair. The repair likewise went as planned and according to the estimate. I called Eric the third week of August after many weeks of suspecting a leak in my small swim pool. He came the next Monday to review the site of my pool, which had not been refilled automatically for a week. The water level was two inches below the water line, an obvious indicator of a leek. Eric surveyed the pool and its connections before giving me an estimate for the locations of obvious leaks. His repair man came the following Thursday. He pressurized the plumbing in the system, checked all plumbing connections, etc. He repaired the eroded grout in the skimmer and hose connections. Before leaving he showed me before and after pictures of the damaged areas. The next day I received a written explanation, including the before and after pictures, with the reminder that the repairs are guaranteed for a year. His estimates of the times for analysis's and repairs were right on as were his cost estimates. He and his helper were patient and through in describing the problems and how they were repaired. Our pool was leaking and we had Erik come out to find the problem. After spending about 2 hours he had found what looked like 1 leak and was back the next day to fix it. The leak was right were he thought it was and was able to do the repair without us needing to have cement removed (Yea, the location was in a good place). I highly recommend this company! Very professional, honest, fast, courteous and shows up exactly when he says. I called Erik when I discovered I had a water leak somewhere near the main water line going into my house under concrete! He called me back within 30 minutes and came out the same day. Within 2 hours he not only pinpointed exactly where the leak was (under the concrete), but he also assessed my pool and found two additional leaks in the skimmers that I was unaware of. He was able to put a long-term but temporary fix in place to stop both skimmer leaks, but we had to schedule the repair for the leak under the concrete. He scheduled me for two days out and returned on-time when he said he would and cut a small square (~18"x18") where his equipment "heard" the leak. It turned out the hole he cut was EXACTLY above where the leak was. When he cut out the old pipe section where the leak was he showed me where it was leaking (turned out the elbow had 3 cracks!). He explained the cracks were due to pressure on the elbow, most likely due to settling issues over time. He recommended a repair that would alleviate future pressure. The total repair time was about 3 hours! He then pressure tested the water main after the repair to confirm no more leaks existed anywhere on our property. I was in a panic when I discovered water dripping from my living room ceiling last Thursday. I knew it was probably coming from my upstairs master bathroom. I checked Yelp and saw the reviews for EB Leak Detection. I called the company and Erik came out the very next morning. He was prompt, courteous and very professional. He was also very thorough and explained every test he was conducting on the shower, toilet and faucets. So glad I contacted Erik about the pooling water in our crawl space. He thoroughly checked out all of our potential areas for water leaks inside and out (house piping, toilets, valves, irrigation, etc.). He even advised me on how to simply test our swimming pool for a leak myself before his scheduled appointment! Yup, ruled that out. His determination that the crawl space water accumulation was due to rain water intrusion was very assuring as it now allows me to specifically target the area I now need to construct my footer drain and minimize my own labor and cost. Erik also identified a leaky valve in one toilet and adjusted it at no additional charge. He found a leaky irrigation valve in the backyard and shut it off until I replace the faulty solenoid. So confident in his service now, I had him come back a week later to replace the leaky gate shutoff valves at the main.
