The preaching style is forward with a touch of humor including biblical principles as it pertains to God's word. There is no concern for a particular dress code. Many wear jeans and shorts as well as t-shirts while others are comfortable in suits and ties or dresses. The worship is mostly modern with a band, consisting of guitars, bass, keyboards and drums while utilizing overheads for information and lyrics to easily follow along. UCF offers many life groups to get involved with who are full of people eager to befriend you and help when needed. There are programs/services for kids age infant - teen that are engaging, energetic and age appropriate. 3 services are offered on Sunday morning to fit your needs as well as a Wednesday night service that has a delicious home cooked meal before service starts, for a nominal fee. A Friday evening and Sunday evening Hispanic service is also available. This is truly a genuine church that can easily be called home and family!!

This is an intimate group of believers assembled to worship in the Methodist tradition, learn from the Bible, and develop a closer walk with the Lord. There is a cross-section of ages in the church body; however, the majority are over age 60. The other review on this site is from 7 years ago--it might have been when another pastor was leading the church . . . currently, our pastor is Deb Demorest. Again, a very small church congregation may not be for you (there's no "hiding" in the last pew"), but if a warm group of worshippers is meaningful, please consider a visit.

The sermon theme that day was "The Need for Connection" and that was why I was there. After a few weeks of attending services, their Monday morning "Coffee" discussion group, and a "Crones" meeting I became a member. This church is progressive and open and welcoming to ANYONE from any denomination, or even atheists. It is also very LGBTQ friendly. They have a wonderful choir, too.
