It's large enough to have a lot of modern touches but small enough to give a sense of community. Pastor Steven gives a sermon that is straightforward, bible based and easy to follow. He just teaches like he's in a classroom. The music is contemporary and meaningful. They don't follow a time schedule. They don't try to shove things down your throat and they welcome input. It feels like home from the minute you walk in the door. They have a great children's program and plenty of outreach opportunities. Just go try it out! They don't judge. The pastor has tattoos that he doesn't try to hide and he often shows up in blue jeans and a tee shirt so don't feel like you have to impress them. They welcome everyone as they are. All races and ages attend. They don't make you feel bad if you wish not to tithe, but they use what they receive wisely. The sermons are based on everyday problems and you are encouraged to do research on your own if you feel led. I would love to continue going for the rest of my life, but we moved and can no longer attend. I just hope I can find a church like this closer to us.
