In January of 2024, I spent the week skiing with friends. Even at the age of 72, I'm normally acclimated to the altitude within a day or two. However, that year, I found myself out of breath after just a few pitches. I thought I had some type of chest congestion, and made an appointment at Aspen Medical Care. I don't recall the name of the physician who treated me, but almost immediately, after listening to my heart, she decided to hook me up for a quick EKG. She determined that I had A-fib, immediately put me on a blood thinner, and suggested to see a cardiologist as soon as I returned home. Bottom line, after a cardioversion that didn't work, and an ablation that did, I have been A-fib free since then. I attribute my health to that wonderful doctor who treated me that day.
