Stopped in because my girlfriend invited me to church. Had an amazing time of worship and teaching. The church staff and volunteers are nothing short of amazing! It's been over a decade I visited this church and I still say it doesn't feel charismatic like my Pentecostal church but it's also not a Pentecostal church which I get but not many hands were up here in worship to the Lord, not sure why. how can Jarrod, who knew jesus died Nisan 14 (Apr 4th) and resurrected April 7th fall prey to attaching false religious dating and customs. He wasnt risen on Saturday 8th as Jarrod said but on 7th. along with saying Buddhism and Moslems have no central figure,just a 'religion to adhere to', is a severe lack of knowledge of those religions who venerate Buddha and Mohammod as much as Christians do Jesus...who as John 3:16 said was given by his Father, and yet never once did Jarrod USE the name of Jesus father...who gave him. That strikes me as concerning; gods Son name is mentioned repeatedly...but not God himself (who has a name)and that causes Jarrods believability to be severely discounted..unfortunately. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything good about this church. Considering it is a contemporary 'community' church you would think they would want to welcome their community with open arms. My wife and I recently moved to West Point and were looking for a new church to bring our daughter to. I've never been so disappointed in a message from a pastor in all my life. His entire sermon was about living God's truth and made it a point that being Gay was not apart of that. I moved from Oklahoma and the preaching was more progressive that this which I thought was impossible. We were really excited to take our daughter and find a new church community and left feeling deflated and frankly extremely sad. Being gay does not push people away from Christ, it's pastors like this one who make people who happen to be Gay feel like they will never belong. read more

Pastor Jarrod Jones delivers an incredible message. (They messages are posted on iTunes as a podcast as well, which I appreciate when I need to travel.) The sermons are Biblically based and always point back to Christ - not about a denomination, custom, or tradition. The messages always help frame the world from a Christ oriented mindset. They have many people on the ministerial staff to help reach out to more people because the church is quite large. They were recently ranked in the top 100 fastest growing churches in America and it shows! Two satellite campuses will broadcast Jarrod's sermons in Newburgh and Middletown (fall 2013) but will have campus pastors and live worship. The church realizes that people need connection beyond the macro church meeting, so they put a lot of energy into helping people connect with small groups to "do life together." The worship band is talented and powerful. the facilities are clean and well organized. The children's ministries are fun and meaningful for all ages. The coffee is really good, too! read more

The senior pastor of this congregation is refreshing. He firmly stands by his beliefs from the Holy Bible, without looking down his nose on anyone. There is plenty of parking and a room/area for almost every youth age group. They have a small coffee/lounge area and a information/ help desk. The music group is very talented and there is always a visual display along with the music which I think is cool. I recommend showing up 30 minutes early to get a good seat, the sanctuary fills up fast. read more

Pastors Jarrod, Jim and Abe are true examples of God's love and message to this community. The Church keeps expanding with new churches through Orange County (latest in Newburgh.) The sermons are always enlightening, on target, practical and given in love. Its also one of the best churches in the area with a strong community outreach program to help the local people in need, which is what drew me to this church in the first place. How refreshing to find a church that practices what it preaches. Honestly, this church has brought me back to my faith and helps to keep me striving to stay on track with God even as I mess up daily. Cannot thank them enough for being there to help me when I hit rock-bottom. read more

My very first service I attended at Grace was Easter 2013 & I've been coming ever since. (If you asked me a few years ago if I'd attend a Christian church, I would've said 'NO'. I obviously had 'ideas' of what Christians were 'like'.) I already had a relationship with God, but never consider myself 'religious'... I say Spiritual. Pastor Jarrod's explanation at the 1st service I was exposed to made me feel 'at home' when he stated that 'Born Again' simply means a renewed belief/ relationship with Christ. (I completely related. Even though I wasn't going to any particular 'religious facility' at that time, I began re-connecting with our Creator, Lord Almighty, back in my 20's... & found my 'family' in Christ here at Grace.) I was completely impressed that the pastor is my age & married to a beautiful wife, with a beautiful family. (There's no 'hierarchy' per se & we all play a part. Unlike the church I attended as a child, where we were told that God would punish us. Plus, I thought church was boring. I never enjoyed going to church as a child.) I LOVE that we sing as we worship & the children & teens love being here! Pastor Jarrod's sermons are given without any 'fluff' & he allows Christ to move him, even if it means a whole lot of discomfort. (Meaning, some are not going to like what he says, but not everyone is 'ripe' to 'hear' the message... be patient & Love them.) All I know, & was Blessed to be taught at a young age was, if I'm feeling uncomfortable or agitated, I better take a deeper look within me because Truth can be painful sometimes. Especially when we're holding on to things - tangible or not - emotions, behaviours, etc. So, if I feel this during a sermon, I know I need to take a closer look at myself & surrender it to Christ. Also, with the new campuses opening, the focus isn't on the buildings as it is the actual church... which is us - the people. Some do not like that we're growing, (but that is their struggle & for them to work out with The Lord Almighty). We all would like to stay in our 'safe, comfy' circle, but then we would never grow... & that is not the purpose of Life. It is to serve Him, whether we want to or not, whether we believe or not, it is Truth. (This is the ONLY time I feel at complete ease & have Joy, is when I forget 'self' & am emerged in serving Self - Don't focus so much on the vocabulary of what is written here, the ego loves a distraction.) Enough rambling! Lol! Bottom line is I'm grateful to be a part of Grace Community. Every time I'm surrounded by the amazing people who attend, there's a calmness, a Unity. For all those who cringe at the words 'Born Again', I feel you. If I had not been introduced the way I was, I probably wouldn't be a part of this amazing place, meeting some of the most amazing people! I am Blessed!
