When I reviewed it, the refund amount seemed unusually low, so I asked a few simple questions before signing. That's when things started to unravel. It turns out our main W-2 had been left out of the initial filing, which is a major oversight. After it was corrected and refiled, the refund still seemed lower than expected, so I called to get clarification before signing anything. I was told they wouldn't be able to explain anything until after the tax deadline, which is completely unreasonable when you're being asked to sign an official return. When I expressed that I wasn't comfortable signing without understanding the numbers, the tax specialist took over the call from her assistant and became noticeably rude and condescending. Instead of answering questions, she responded with attitude and dismissive comments. At one point, when I mentioned that someone in the same tax bracket received a higher refund, she asked if I also asked him what time he went to bed the night before, which was an incredibly unprofessional and unnecessary remark. As a client, I was simply trying to ensure my return was accurate. Instead of being met with professionalism and transparency, I was met with defensiveness and disrespect. Between the initial filing error, lack of willingness to explain the return, and the way I was spoken to, I cannot recommend this service. I would strongly suggest going elsewhere if you value clear communication and professionalism.

Most times, it took 2-3 times reaching out to get a response. And the response we'd get was usually rude and impatient sounding. We've also had more than one instance where refunds came up short, missing more than just the fee that was supposed to be charged. I even reached out to the tax commission asking about adjustments to our refunds, and they confirmed that there were no changes to what our refund was SUPPOSED to be. There's always about $100 extra missing AFTER the $125 fee is taken. Anytime she's been asked about missing money, she doesn't respond.
