If he says so - I couldn't determine any real Belfast accents nor much of the cynical humour Belfastians are known for. I do wish I was as thin (well maybe not that thin) as the script but the cinema photography was superb as was the sound. It's a bug bear of mine too when the use English actors to play Irish roles when we have enough home grown talent but I expect Mr Branagh has his circle of luvvies. The pleasant cinema staff told us to wait a tad as cinema 7 was being covid cleaned. The cinema was cosy warm and not at all busy. As the Omniplex group rip us off with outrageous prices for ice cream, popcorn, sweets and drinks we brought our own supplies. It was £17 for two to indulge Mr Branagh and to satisfy our curiosity at this Oscar nominated work and for that we got a very comfortable reclining chair in which we lay well toward horizontal in a warm dark comfy theatre. The experience is worth it for the seating alone.

Great cinema. I…read moreused to go here as a kid and it had got really run down last time I was here. Staying close by we wanted to take our 3 year old to the cinema one afternoon. Walking into the Jet centre and heading to the cinema I was very please to see and be able to tell you the place looked bright, tidy, professional and buzzing with people. Also not too dear and have all the snacks a cinema goer could want. Highly recommend it.

There is also a bowling alley and a soft play centre (the best in the town). After the excitement of all that there is a beautiful restaurant to enjoy a hearty meal.

It's the same truism for restaurants. I had the misfortune of eating in the fast food outlet here and it was very poor indeed. When I lifted a menu it was sticky with a dark tomato ketchup residue. The last time I found this lack of proper cleaning I was in a Nando's in Manchester. It's either carelessness or laziness. I then scanned the overhead display to buy the least offensive food and ended up with a kids chicken goujon meal, essentially breaded chicken & chips. It was under £4. The chips are 2 out of five and just poor. The chicken was zero out of 5 as it was just awful. Food hardly gets much cheaper than this factory-made rubbish. The meal came with a medium sized machine dispensed drink so I got Diet Coke. I also got an Americano that was alright so it is 3 out of 5. The saving grace was that they served Heinz tomato ketchup and proper HP sauce. Also the food portion was decent but I certainly didn't eat it all and the staff mega friendly. So overall it's only just a borderline 3 star as I'm in a good mood but I can say with confidence that I'll never eat in this place ever again.

I only come up here for the IMAX, the big screen makes everything screened on it even better to…read morewatch (we went to see Star Wars, was emotional). The seats are comfy, and raised so you are not stuck with someones big head filling the screen! It's not cheap but no more expensive than the Odeon and there are other smaller screens, at cheaper prices if you're not that bothered, and size doesn't matter to you.... You can pre book seats which I love and the selection of snacks is good, love their popcorn! Worth a trip up from Belfast in my opinion, and it was extra special seeing Star Wars on the big screen!

It was a delightful watch in this charmless world mostly ruled by monsters as WW3 (which has started - economics/natural resources/trade wars) and we will go to see it again very soon. We'll stay north and save £2 each too. I read the view of one critic whose name I don't recall whose bitchy review I didn't recognise and at one point I wondered if we'd seen a different flick. The cinema was clean and fresh and a far cry of picture houses when I grew up full of dandruff, bits of chewing gum, rancid tobacco smells and brylcreem residue. The product was invented in Birmingham England in 1928 and for years was omnipresent around me among boys and men from I could work things out for myself. It and Old Spice. What a combo which I completely shunned. Old Spice was originally targetted at women. I digress so I'd expected our centre near to front armchair seats to push button recline but no. The place was packed and I was surprised to see a kit of young women but not many young men and of course no shortage of us disputably described as 'old'. This was a disappointment but the rain hammering on the roof a few times really marred enjoyment so there's no decent soundproofing: but I'm assured global warming is merely a figment of my imagination if that's wrong drill baby drill may become die baby die. The popcorn and other food offerings like every cinema I've been in are grotesquely overpriced so we brought our own. We enjoyed it but I do think I'll stay north of the border for movies in future.

Wow Dundalk's newest cinema. And apparently Ireland's only cinema with two of the MAXX cinema…read morescreens. They place is great and a welcome new arrival by all to Dundalk. The staff first training module must be customer service with a smile which they without a doubt scored top marks. They are friendly helpful and patient. The cinema is new so all fittings and fixtures are as expected great and shinny. Cinema screens are good and massive with comfy seats. Screen one does has a small hiss during adverts from the lights but this disappears when the actual movie deigns and manage said it will be fixed shortly. Helpful again :)
