Firstly you are greeted with the cutest sparkling water infused with chlorophyll to start off your pamper. I had the ABB- Anything but basic facial, which was nothing short of incredible. My favorite part was experiencing the dermablading exfoliating technique. "Dermablading is the process of gently scraping away dead skin cells and 'peach fuzz' hairs to give your skin a smoother, brighter complexion." My face feels like baby skin! I also love getting professional chemical peels done. I also got to experience the new IV drip therapy which was so cool!! You can pick from 3 options: flawless drip, bounce back drip, and nutri drip. I had the Bounce back drip for hydration, nausea and headaches. To explain a bit more- this is from lamarie.com "IV therapy is a method of administering fluids into the body via the blood vessels, and it's the fastest way possible to deliver essential nutrients to your body." It's and Efficient way to -Resolve nausea -Boost your immune system -Strengthen hair, skin, and nails. I will say, one of my favorite parts of being at lamarie was meeting the ladies- they were so lovely, personable and down to earth. It truely made the experience!! Thank you to @lamariebeauty_rx and @lamariebeauty_roxana - you guys are amazing at what you do!

I'm moving out of state and truly so sad that I will have to find a replacement for La Marie. You can tell they really want you to feel at home while you're there.

I had never had a facial before, but Micki officially turned me into an addict :)…read more First and foremost, she's so welcoming and easy to talk to...she really tried to understand my skin type and regimen to know what I wanted to get out of my visit. It's refreshing to receive a service when you can tell someone is truly passionate about what they are doing. Second, the service itself was amazing- I had no idea how incredibly relaxing a facial could be! I left feeling like my skin was so "breathable" AND all the tension in my neck and shoulders were eased. Truly an all around experience. Definitely will be working routine visits into my budget...it's so so worth it. Third, it was also a learning experience (mini biology class, but I do ask a lot of questions:) ) She talked me through everything and gave some product recommendations at various price levels, but was never pushy. Overall I can't say enough about how great my experience was. If you've ever contemplated getting a facial (or any of her services for that matter!) or are looking to try a new place out, please give Micki a try. You won't be disappointed.

This downtown gem is the perfect mix of trendy and classic, offering a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere where you'll feel comfortable, whether you're a professional or a student. Located right on the State Street Promenade and just blocks from campus and the Capitol. In July, I literally crossed the street after exiting the salon and had a man say, "Tell your boyfriend or husband he is blessed." So, if you want the same results, bookmark this review now and keep reading to find out who to schedule with! The salon features a comfortable waiting area, and the elevator access makes it easy for everyone to get to this fourth floor space. There's a pay parking garage attached, so parking is generally available if you're coming in from out of the area. I'm always impressed by the visible presence of the owner, which speaks to her dedication to the business. Plus, I often see stylists besides my own working time after time that I am there, so the fact that staff stays on year after year indicates to me there is a reason they stay on. Scheduling can be done by phone or online. Always available and easy. At the time of this writing there are some evening hours so book your next cut or color now. Tell Saiegon I sent you!

I had a generally positive experience overall. I have gone to cosmetology schools to get my hair…read moredone for years like 25 years so I know what to expect. The staff and students were friendly, and the check-in/check-out process was easy. The tables at the hair rinse/wash stations were a little different than what I expected, but they were actually a nice setup. I had a full highlight and haircut done. The three students who worked on my highlights were all very kind, and the highlights themselves turned out well. However, the entire appointment took almost 6 hours when quoted 3 hours, which felt very long. During my visit, several students were openly talking about how many hours and days they still needed to make up before graduating in September, which felt somewhat unprofessional to hear as a client. The student doing my service seemed somewhat distracted and unsure at times about certain steps, although the work she completed was done well. There were long waits during the lightening and coloring process, and during those waiting periods no one checked in to see if I needed anything. The haircut portion was not completed by the student assigned to me because she was unsure how to do it, so the instructor, Amy, ended up finishing it. After my color was rinsed out, I still noticed hair dye left on my neck when I left. Toward the end of the appointment, the student was informed she had another client scheduled, and she became very flustered. She told me she could not blow dry my hair because she had another client waiting. By that point, I needed to leave soon anyway, but because the appointment had already run so long, I ended up leaving late and was delayed getting to another place I needed to be. I also understand this is a school and students are learning, which I do respect. However, when students are representing the school and working directly with paying members of the public, I feel there should still be professional standards in appearance and conduct. Clothing such as crop tops and athletic-style mini shorts may be fine among peers in a classroom setting, but it did not seem appropriate while providing services to public clients.

Very nice facial at a reasonable price. They took the time to find out about any skin concerns.read more
