To compensate, I was offered entry to the temporary exhibit: Toulouse Renaissance. They have this very lovely outside area in the middle of the museum and I spent lots of time in the sun surrounded by flowers and people. It's bigger than Fondation Bemberg but also newer. So it's completely different styles. I'd say if you have children, take them here or the national museum. The visit took me about 1 hour and a half.

The paintings are hung in a period manner which makes them hard to appreciate, but enjoyable as a historical experience. A must for lovers of medieval sculpture.
