After having an excellent lunch (Les Annees 30) we needed a bit of a walk. Walked through town and…read morecame to this park and promenade. It follows the river Venant. There's a big and free parking lot right next to, a good place to drop your car if you feel like walking.
There's a lot of benches to rest your legs, a playground and plenty of spots to play Petanque. All in the shade of the nice and tall trees. It's a beautiful spot. But it doesn't go on for that long. But you shouldn't stop walking once you hit the main road. Because just a minute further a new path opens and follows the river more east.
There it's very green, very quiet and very peaceful. Almost no visitors, only some locals. Also great to bring your dog. On the way are some picnic spots to enjoy the river views. It's a really nice place to walk. I'm not sure how for it goes, but we walked for a good while and the path kept going... we turned back at some point though, it was getting late.
If you look for a bit of peace and quiet, then this a nice way to get some.
