Rooms are extremely small - way to tight for you, luggage or anything else. Beds are high on pedestals so if you have an elderly or mobile impaired person - it's difficult. Sketchy area - we were harassed walking our dogs in the parking lot...people smoking weed and living in cars. Best thing about this hotel is that it's close to The Stone of Accord Restaurant - which is amazing... but so are a lot of other hotels. Continental breakfast is so so - and they'll take your Toast out of your hand if they want to close it. Will NOT stay here again. We've stayed in Missoula MANY times and there are far better choices. read more

We stayed here in July 2024. We were traveling back to Washington state from North Dakota. We had our two dogs with us. We stayed in several hotels on this trip, all dog friendly. This hotel also advertised as being dog friendly. The temperature was in the high 90's to low 100's. I would say they are NOT dog friendly (at least in the summer). Oh, dogs are allowed in the rooms.... but the outside was ALL asphalt (and too hot for the dogs to walk on) and no grass. We had to go across a street to another hotel to find even the slightest amount of grass. If they had ever had any it was all dried up. The room was okay... clean but small. This property puts the "econo" in EconoLodge. The rooms are small -- that's to be expected with this brand. But the owner didn't spring for microwaves in the rooms or even a second night stand on the other side of the bed. I can see going budget, but who cuts corners like that? On the plus side, the rooms are clean and quiet, and the location is pretty good. read more

I rarely review motels but this joint drove me crazy. The clock was doing an all to common thing of flashing the wrong time. I reset the time went to dinner came back and it was flashing the wrong time again so I reset the time again and now it seems be working but we will see. What makes it so hard about making sure the clock is set with the correct time.. But the real frustration is the TV only gives a message of it has detected an interruption in service. When we contacted the desk she said," I can't find the instructions but try pushing the buttons on the TV. Well we pushed and pushed with no luck. She then gave us a key to the next door room and we had the same results. The helpless front desk girl then said nobody else has any problems. I am not sure what that means but maybe if she knew anything she could come up to our room and check it out herself. I know it is hard to hire good employees but it also falls on the manager to give their people the tools to provide some customer service. This is day 23 of this trip and we have been on the road over 70 days in the last 12 months as well but this place sets a new low for customer service. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. My fiancé and I stayed at the Missoula Econo Lodge 5/26-27. After driving 9 hours from Oregon and arriving late we were exhausted. We noticed an odd smell on the bed, but were so tired we didn't think anything of it. The next day we saw that we had slept on a large dried on URINE spot, that had soaked through the comforter, sheets, and all the way down to the mattress. It was obvious they did not even check the bedding before opening the room to us. When we asked for a new room we were told they had nothing for us. When we asked for a waterproof mattress cover to seal the mattress and new bedding they said they didn't have that for us either. When we asked for the manager they said they weren't available. When we asked for a refund because we ended up having to leave and find a CLEAN hotel last minute and had to pay that hotel $200 for the night, we were told to contact the manager on 5/28. After calling today to talk to the manager as we were instructed, THE MANAGER STILL WAS NOT AVAILABLE and they only wanted to offer us points to stay at their nasty, hazardous hotels again. The representative who gave us this "option" was extremely rude on top of it all. We literally slept in SOMEONE ELSE'S URINE because they can't do a simple task like cleaning their own hotel rooms between guests and during COVID none the less. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! THEY WILL WRONGFULLY CHARGE YOU AFTER CHECKOUT!! My partner and I stayed here for one night. Neither of us are cigarette smokers, we both suffer from asthma. Nor did we associate with anyone who smoked cigarettes during the night we stayed here. Hours after checkout, we were charged $200. I called to ask what the charge was for and was told "cigarette remnants were found" in the room. This is a lie and now it is just our word against theirs. I suspect the housekeepers were angry that we asked for a late checkout. As they knocked on our door asking when we were leaving (even though we arranged a late checkout with the front desk and had the do not disturb sign on). Please save yourself valuable money and time and DO NOT STAY HERE! We chose to stay here because it was affordable and seemed nice. First of all they charge for service animals and I didn't think that was even legal! The entire staff at the front desk was RUDE , the hotel has very little insulation in between rooms , you can easily hear everything your neighbors are saying, the A/C in my room barely worked so it was hot all night and the parking lot was full of trash and homeless people smoking crack in the back parking lot ! We stayed here 4 nights. I was very impressed with the housekeeping. I take air mattresses to sleep on while my husband slept on the bed. Housekeeping took the time to make up my air bed every day even though were not obligated to do so. read more

They charged $358 for the night, and the room smelled of old cigarettes and strongly scented cleaners. The windows were streaked and cloudy, so the room felt cramped. The shower floor was slimy. This is a basic place with everything I needed: comfortable clean room, reliable and quick Internet access, friendly service, easy access to town. In a time where many hotels are expensive and offer more than I really need, this was perfect for a couple of days in town for meetings. The pillows were awful. There was a funny smell in room. Air conditioner was a little stand alone unit that was not sufficient for the room size. Room fairly small. Loved the floors. No carpet. Turn in between the (clearly) Celtic restaurant and exxon station (it's kind of hard to see if you don't know where it is.) I think this hotel has been updated since some of the earlier reviews, I was thinking 4 star but i gave an extra star to counteract the early ones, which don't seem relevant to me anymore. Good hotel for late sleepers, room service understands the do not disturb sign, I took my sign down at noon, I was never bothered and I came back a few hours later to a clean room. Everything is clean, and in good condition, vanity mirror and other mirrors are tall enough for me at 6'3", shower heads at a reasonable level and the staff is friendly. Quite a few eating choices within half a mile, it's right off the interstate at reserve. My only neg is that it's not super sound proofed, and it is pet friendly, by no means a "noisy" hotel, but it could be better. read more

Affordable basic accommodations just as advertised. Conveniently located just of the freeway. Lots of dining options up and down the street. Clean, comfortable rooms that were in good condition. Friendly and helpful staff and hotel is pet friendly. Very busy location, but not too noisy. One big negative is that you cannot connect to the Wi-Fi because of insufficient bandwidth. A minor negative is the towels and washcloths were a little worn out. Breakfast was adequate with cereal, yogurt, fresh bananas and apples, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, toast, small donuts, and juice. Charged us $150.00 for stains on a comforter and towels. Absolutely did not damage anything or stain anything in the room. We did wipe up some water on the floor with a towel. If the towel was stained it was due to dirty floors. Front desk was rude when we asked about the charge. Some of the staff were unprofessional and the cleanliness of the hotel was sub par. If you do happen to stay here please take pictures of your room before you leave. Better yet find another place to stay. I would give this zero stars if that was an option. read more

As the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a good first impression. This Econo Lodge made that good impression by being clean and inviting in appearance and convenient location to the area. What really added to that impression however was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From reception to housekeeping the employees demonstrate exceptional service, particularly William and Nick. Being a solo occupant, I found the room to be adequate in size, and certainly acceptable for a $$ hotel. What is more important to me is that I found the room, hallways, ice machine, lobby, to be clean and presentable. To me, the room was a very good value in relationship to the cost. read more

My inital reaction when front desk agent asked for 100 dollar either cash or credit deposit on room was the first i have had in almost 13 years of traveling.rooms where some what clean the refrig was unplugged so much for keeping items cold. Also water out of the bathroom shower was horrible i got more pressure threw facet in sink it was barely doable shower like a slow water drain. Other then cash up front or running on credit since i booked room threw rewards program. Idk if its cause my age or what ever but def felt un easy. So this is not the newest or fanciest hotel by any means but the service was great! We were traveling with animals and needed a pet friendly hotel. Mom called the hotline for the hotel about 5 mintes out of town. From the time we called to make the reservation on the hotline to when we pulled into the hotel, the hotel employee had the reservation prepared, keys ready and had us on our way in just minutes. Pretty basic, but just what they advertise. (Econo). It is a castle compared to the dump we got stuck staying at on our Glacier Park visit, where we had to drive all the way to Cut Bank just to find an open room. There is no fridge, the sink is cracked and the electric outlets are so worn our plugs will not stay in. They did allow pets for a $10 fee, which is more than fair, We did not price the many other lodging places in this area. The rooms were clean. Days Inn's or Super 8 would be a step up from this place if the prices are equivalent. (Super 8 would not accept pets though.) It is close to Hwy 90, Costco and lots of eateries. read more

Got a room at Econo Lodge for under $90 and it was worth every dollar. The room and bathroom were clean, and there was quite a bit of space for luggage and whatnot. This motel gives you more than what you paid for. I paid just under $60. The staff didn't seemed fazed by the increased number of people from homecoming weekend for university of Montana. back in September, 2016 my wife had to have emergency surgery in Missoula, Mt. I checked into the Econo lodge there. when lady at desk heard my wife was in hospital she immediately said she would give me special hospital rate. we were on road for about 6 weeks and stayed in numerous motels. I can say none had better rooms and I cannot say enough about how good all the staff members treated us while we stayed there especially the lady who checked us in. wish I had written her name down she was great. every morning she ask how my wife was doing. this motel is GREAT! room, breakfast, and staff were the best and we had plenty to compare them to!!!!!!!!!!
